Helen overcame 19-year-old Mike Morelli and 24-year-old Tara Costa in the finals. Her children couldn't have been more proud.

“My mom is really motivated,” said Phillips’s daughter Shanon Thomas, who lost 92 pounds herself as part of The Biggest Loser: Couples. “She is just as tough mentally as she is physically. I knew she had just as good of a shot as anybody. She’s come such a long way — when I look at her I have to do a double-take. I’m so proud of her.”

Shanon Thomas Really is The Biggest Loser

Shanon Thomas is doing her best to prove that she really is The Biggest Loser.

The contestant on this season of that reality show has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a housemate with a bag of flour. Seriously.

According to The Detroit Free Press, on the same day The Biggest Loser debuted on NBC, Thomas, was charged with domestic violence. If convicted, she'll be could face more than three months in jail, where she'll be the laughingstock of prison.

On December 16, police claim Thomas assaulted a man who lived in the basement of her suburban Detroit home. The reason? His TV's volume was too high.

Thomas is alleged to have "kicked open the door" to this gentleman's basement apartment and thrown flour in his face, damaging some of his personal property in the process.

The massage therapist was arraigned and released on $2,000 bond after being taken into custody.

Alison Sweeney Speaks on The Biggest Loser: Families

While it's not as hyped as other premieres - such as The CW's new 90210 - at least some people are excited for The Biggest Loser: Families. It will debut on September 16.

Host Alison Sweeney recently told reporters on a confernce call that the show's sixth season will begin with "four teams of husbands and wives versus four teams of parents and their children."

"Every person is on their own journey. So even though they come together as a family, they each have their own experience," said the Days of Our Lives star. "So for me, I have to approach it with what's appropriate for that person in that moment."

Still, the actress acknowledged that family members competing on The Biggest Loser are different than the series' history of individual participants.

"Something that strikes my heart very closely is the parents and their kids, and how parents take responsibility for being the role model that brought their child to this point and seeing how they deal with, 'Okay, I'm sort of part of why you're here. I'm part of the problem, now let's both be part of the solution.' Obviously emotions run high and feelings go extremely deep in all the people involved."

Ali Vincent is The Biggest Loser

Thanks to an incredible 112-pound weight loss, Ali Vincent was named the first-ever female winner of The Biggest Loser last week. Here is an excerpt of an interview she gave to BuddyTV:

When you were eliminated in the fourth episode, you knew you were going to come back and be The Biggest Loser. How could you have possibly known that you were going to achieve that goal? Is that something that you just saw in your future?
From the beginning, even in the line I just felt something through my body. I just knew I was gonna make it to each step. I knew, but I didn't. I mean, I never knew, but I felt it in my body like, oh my God, this is happening. Oh my God, I think I'm supposed to be the first female Biggest Loser.

First, it was just something I said, and I wanted it, and basically, I was kind of faking it until you make it. I was like, "I'm gonna be the first female Biggest Loser! I'm gonna do it." Even in the interview process! In week four, when I read my letters from home from my siblings, and all the things they had to say about me, how they knew that I could do this, it was just pure heart.

It was absolutely true for me that I'm gonna be The Biggest Loser.
