A Sneak Peak at DeAnna Pappas’ 25 Options

The Bachelorette premieres in less than two weeks.

The counterpart to Matt Grant, DeAnna Pappas will star the lucky woman who will be courted by 25 men.

Pappas was one of the last women standing on The Bachelor season starring Brad Womack. After he dumped Jenni Croft at the final rose ceremony, that jackass opted to dump DeAnna too. Stunning and bizarre.

Despite the heartache of losing the man she loved, DeAnna Pappas has bounced back and is ready to give love another shot… on reality TV!

This week, ABC released the identities of the 25 men who will be competing for DeAnna’s love and affection on The Bachelorette…

A Family Photo: Trista, Ryan and Maxwell Sutter

The only happy woman to ever emerge from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette (sorry, Mary Delgado, you don’t count) Trista Rehn, along with husband Ryan Sutter and son Maxwell - hit a party for the Hot Mom’s Handbook in Beverly Hills.

How cute are they!?

Trista and Ryan Sutter

Trista and Ryan Sutter are the best. They seem genuinely happy. We always loved her. Hard to believe some loser actually negged Trista on The Bachelor.

Guess things work out for a reason. Hopefully, the new star of The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected by Brad Womack, will feel the same way.

DeAnna Pappas, The Bachelorette to Debut May 19

ABC unveiled its summer schedule this week, and reality TV shows are not scarce by any means. One of the most anticipated? The Bachelorette, which stars the lovely DeAnna Pappas, and kicks off Monday, May 19 at 9 p.m.

Back in February, ABC hosted a search to find a group of intelligent, good looking, charismatic, and single men for DeAnna Pappas to choose from.

In total, The Bachelorette hit 10 different states looking for different men to make up the cast, and also accepted video submissions from dudes.

Brad Womack, DeAnna Pappas

DeAnna Pappas’ heart was broken by Brad Womack on a devastating season finale of The Bachelor. Millions of Americans watched as that ass clown Brad acted like he was going to propose, then got cold feet at the last instant. Ouch!!

In a special that aired afterwards, DeAnna’s heartache was plain as day, but she stated that she was a strong person who would be able to move on.

Move on she has.

Hopefully, she’ll find that special someone that she has been searching for when she meets 25 hot bachelors who all came on the show just to meet her. OMG!

This should be good. We’re so excited to see DeAnna Pappas back on TV.

In other reality TV dating news, there’s a new show coming out called The Farmer Wants a Wife. Yes, we’re serious. Thank goodness for DeAnna.

Dudes Line Up to Date The Bachelorette

Or at least try! A hefty number of men got in line for a chance to find true love, or at least 15 minutes of fame, in showing up for casting calls held for The Bachelorette at Tradition Square in Port St. Lucie, Fla. on February 23.

The hopefuls filled out forms and made audition tapes explaining why they should earn a spot on the reality dating show, The Bachelorette, which is a spin-off of The Bachelor. The beautiful DeAnna Pappas will star!

Both shows follow the same format in which a man or woman is allowed the luxury of choosing a mate from a handful of suitors. Each week, the unlucky bachelor or bachelorette eliminates one candidate from the group.

For The Bachelorette’s upcoming season, DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected by 11th season Bachelor star Brad Womack, is slated to frontline as the love searcher on the quest to find a husband from a pool of bachelors.

According to Mark Prutisto, director of a local ABC station that conducted the auditions, all of the tapes from this and other auditions around the country are sent to casting directors who will make the choices.

Among those who auditioned is Mike Smith, 47, from Fort Pierce, who reveals that he tried out for The Bachelorette because he has not been able to find women his age since he moved out of his native Georgia.

“I’m really not into the bar scene,” Smith said. “That makes it hard to meet women unless you want to go to the Internet.”

This is the second time the shows have held auditions in Port St. Lucie, and last Thursday the shows had auditions in Fort Lauderdale.

“South Florida has been great to select applicants from,” Prutisto said.

DeAnna Pappas is The Bachelorette!

After losing out on reality TV love on the last season of The Bachelor, the lovely DeAnna Pappas is ready for another go at it.

A real estate agent from Neunan, Ga., DeAnna will headline the next season of The Bachelorette, which will air this summer.

Maybe ABC saw our moving tribute to DeAnna Pappas!

The 26-year-old endured a painful, last-minute rejection by Brad Womack on the controversial Bachelor season finale last November.

He had even flown her father in and implied he was going to pick her, but Womack rejected Pappas, as well as her adversary, Jenni Croft.

Sickening. But that’s water under the bridge now. All we have to say is this: Best. Bachelorette. Ever. Welcome back, DeAnna Pappas!

A Tribute to DeAnna Pappas

There’s nothing official about this DeAnna Pappas tribute - it’s just a collection of highlights of DeAnna Pappas’ stint on The Bachelor, compiled and edited by one of her many online fans. But we thought we’d share!

Take a look at this video and tell us that the strong, sassy, sexy DeAnna - who was inexplicably spurned on The Bachelor - shouldn’t be the next Bachelorette!

DeAnna Pappas: The Next Bachelorette?

ABC recently announced that in addition to the new season of The Bachelor that will air this spring, The Bachelorette will return this summer.

DeAnna Pappas, who along with Jenni Croft was famously rejected on the last season finale of The Bachelor, is first on many lists of prime candidates for The Bachelorette. What kind of star would she make on this hit spin-off?

If she were to become The Bachelorette, DeAnna told BuddyTV:

“I would approach the experience with a very open mind. I would also do my best to try to be very understanding considering I would know exactly what the guys are going through! I will approach it with the hope of finding one amazing man that hopefully I can live happily ever after with in the end.”

Seen here flirting with Brad Womack, DeAnna Pappas also talked about what kind of dates she would like to plan if she were The Bachelorette.

“[Brad Womack] told us he was able to help the producers with some of the ideas for the dates… the circus date, the pool date, etc. Those types of dates were my favorite because I am so a low key, easy to please person,” she said.

“I’m not a very girly girl. Diamonds and fancy dresses don’t impress me! Flowers either for that matter. I guess if I could choose the dates, I would love to go to a baseball game and drink beer! A football game even. Maybe something active like white water rafting or on a boat at the lake. That’s real life for me.”

Whether or not DeAnna Pappas becomes The Bachelorette is not known, but let Reality TV Scoop join the chorus of sites championing her candidacy.

The Return of The Bachelorette!

As we anticipate another season of The Bachelor - premiering March 17 - ABC has announced a new season of The Bachelorette for this summer.

The Bachelorette first premiered in January 2003, featuring original The Bachelor runner-up Trista Rehn as the object of affection. She ended up marrying Ryan Sutter (pictured), the only pairing from either of these dating shows that has ever lasted.

Trista and Ryan

No word yet on who The Bachelorette will be. But here’s hoping for DeAnna Pappas!

Bachelorette Trista Sutter Won’t Be Giving Birth On Camera

Trista, Ryan SutterTheir courtship was televised.

As well as their wedding planning, and the actual ceremony.

But if you were hoping you’d see Trista Sutter give birth to her first child with Ryan Sutter on camera, in an up-close, gruesome scene a la Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up, well… you have problems.

Although even that might be more fun to watch than a tape of Jennifer Toof naked.

No, fans of The Bachelorette’s Trista and Ryan Sutter apparently won’t be seeing the birth of the couple’s first child later this summer.

“One hundred percent no!” Trista said in the new issue of OK! when asked if there would be a new reality show following the soon-to-be first-time parents.

“When it comes to cameras being in your life 24 hours a day, that’s something we’re in total agreement will never be happening again. That’s how we met and we’re appreciative of that, but that won’t be happening. Sorry to the public if they’re wanting to see any of the birth!”

It’s okay. We’ll always have Pageant Place.

Trista Sutter, a 34-year-old purse designer and former physical therapist, and Ryan, a 32-year-old fireman, met on The Bachelorette in 2002.

Trista Sutter was spurned on the previous season of The Bachelor, but producers loved her so much that they gave her a spin-off.

More than 30 million people watched as Trista Rehn chose Ryan Sutter as her man during ABC’s February 2003 broadcast of The Bachelorette’s first season.

Ten months later, ABC aired a three episode series that detailed the events leading up to their December 2003 wedding ceremony. Over 17 million viewers watched Trista and Ryan exchange vows on ABC’s Trista & Ryan’s Wedding.

In February 2007, Trista and Ryan - who’s friends with reigning Bachelor Andy Baldwin - announced they were expecting their first child.
