Reality TV Fashion Police: Recent Highlights and Lowlights

When you're a low-rent reality TV star and looking to make a name for yourself... you damn well better look good. After all, no one's going to make you a trophy wife or give you a million bucks based on your brains or personality. Well, Survivor is a bit different. But whatever.

Here's a few reality TV fashion highs and lows from the past week ...

Pumkin

Pumkin (Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School)

Yes, the incorrectly spelled "Pumkin" revealed last week it was her right to fight! However, showing her back side and revealing what kind of undies she prefers? Yeah. This is a fashion don't. Keep your panties hidden, babe. Mo'Nique would surely concur.

Schatar (Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School)

Look. Ladies. If we are going to try and impress Mr. Winery himself, don't you think you should wear heels that you can actually walk in? Seriously, girl. Lose the heels, try flats. Do something. So you can walk. God.

Amber Alchalabi (The Bachelor)

One way to insure you will be getting a rose: go on a solo date, jump in a hot tub wearing a cute little bikini and shake that thang! Obviously, Andy Baldwin wants to hit that piece. Therefore, this is a fashion "do." Amber Alchalabi might not receive such a positive response from her home town, though.

Yau Da Man!

Yau Man (Survivor)

Another fashion "do," as you don't have to be Jeff Probst to know that a hat is a must-have item on the islands.

Yau Man knows how to rock that hat, which is one of the reasons for his success in Fiji. He is always cool, calm and collected on Survivor - more so than the just-departed Mookie - and there's no doubt that this stylin' and practical head accessory has something to do with it.

Survivor: Fiji Islands Recap - Mookie Sent Packing

Bye Bye, MookieNext season, Survivor will take to the islands of coastal China. But for now, tensions are rising in Fiji as the field is winnowing and the tasks getting increasingly grueling.

With Edgardo voted out, there are only eight survivors left and individuals move into high gear to secure places within an alliance that will assure them of making it through to the finals on Survivor: Fiji Islands.

Concerned that he voted Mookie Lee (pictured) to go, Dreamz comes to a tough realization.

They changed their vote last minute because they thought Mookie might pull out the immunity idol, and that they didn't tell him. It dawns on him that his position is precarious.

Rupert Boneham He was later awarded a million dollars when he was voted "America's Favorite Survivor."

The 2007 Reality TV Convention is a reality TV fan-focused event that includes a meet and greet with reality TV stars, panel discussions on reality TV shows, and information on auditioning for reality TV shows.

The event features reality stars from shows such as American Idol, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, Survivor, The Biggest Loser and more. Last year's Reality TV Convention received extensive media coverage, including a segment on Fox Reality's Reality Remix and coverage in USA Today and TV Guide.

Boneham will be signing copies of his new book "Rupert: Just Being Me" at the Reality TV Convention. It's first-person account of his wild ride from obscurity and hardship to fame and fortune.

"I've been on an amazing adventure," explains Rupert in the book's first chapter. "I'm still making discoveries. I'm learning about the way the world works and the way it doesn't a lot of the time. Most of all, I'm learning more about who I really am."

Jeff Probst: Chinese "Survivor" Season Will Use Island Setting

Earlier reports of Survivor's 15th season being filmed in China stated a largely unexpected location that would result in the long-running CBS reality TV show filming in a non-island setting for the first time in years.

That apparently won't be the case, according to host Jeff Probst.

"I can't even pronounce it, I have to find China on the map first," said Probst during a visit to Live with Regis and Kelly, referencing a report that Survivor's Fall 2007 edition will film in the communist country.

The Host of Survivor

Kella Ripa asked the face of Survivor what part of China the show would be visiting on a recent live broadcast.

"When I find it, then I'll zero in on the little group of islands we're going to," said Probst, who was filling in for regular Live co-host Regis Philbin.

As part of its Wednesday report that Survivor's 15th edition will film in China, Variety reported that although China's huge coastline includes thousands of islands, the move to China would take the show "away from an island setting" for the first time in several seasons.

Survivor: Guatemala, the show's Fall 2005 edition (its 11th season), was the most recent Survivor edition to film at an inland location.

During his appearance, Probst also urged viewers of the Mark Burnett-created series to make sure and tune in for the broadcast of the new Survivor: Fiji's 10th episode.

"I will say we have a great episode tonight, a great episode, a great Tribal Council," said Probst.

"If you are a Survivor fan, you're going to like tonight's episode [it's] a very good episode [with a] great Tribal Council."
