Brooke Knows Best Premiere Date, Synopsis

VH1 has announced that Brooke Hogan's ridiculous spin-off to Hogan Knows Best, Brooke Knows Best, will premiere on July 13 .

Here's a portion of the press release about the series:

"No longer an innocent teenager [her parents are divorced and her brother is in jail], Brooke learns what growing up is really about. For the first time, Brooke is learning how to deal with the ins and outs of daily life, new relationships, of her family's recent struggles, as well as managing her career and finances without Mom and Dad."

The cast of Brooke Knows Best will consist of Brooke, and her two roommates, Ashley and Glenn.

We'd love to know: Does anyone think Brooke Hogan really knows best? About... anything?!?

MTV Announces Reality TV Show Slate

MTV has announced a new, thorough, slightly disturbing slate of reality shows.

For starters, there's an untitled project that focuses on rapper 50 Cent and his search for the nation's next street-smart business mogul. Sounds like the perfect person to go on that adventure to us.

There's also Buzzin' on the horizon, a comedic reality series that will chart the rise of music artist Shwayze; Busted, a half-hour that chronicles kids that break the law; and Making the Rock Band, a new take on Diddy's music reality series.

Also in the scary mix - seriously - is 16 and Pregnant, which chronicles the path of a real-life Juno. We know what you're thinking, though, and the answer is no: it doesn't star Jamie Lynn Spears.

Reality TV Recaps: Farmer Wants a Wife, So You Think You Can Dance

What's Matt Neustadt been up? We're so glad you asked. Here's a recap of his exciting reality show, along with a summer classic on FOX...

Farmer Wants a Wife: The episode starts off with the girls talking about the crazy stalker antics of Brooke and Lisa.  They think it's hilarious that Matt might think of them as immature psychos after the incident in the previous episode... -- BuddyTV

So You Think You Can Dance: First up, and with a lengthy intro video showing her with her family, was Chelsie Hightower who danced flawlessly with her partner, wowed the judges, and was immediately given a golden ticket to Vegas... -- Reality TV Magazine

Denise Richards: The Preferred Attention Whore

In a match-up of self-absorbed attention whore, Denise Richards narrowly defeated Dina Lohan Monday night.

Denise Richards: It's Complicated nabbed 1.5 million total viewers for the evening (each of whom should be ashamed of themselves), while Living Lohan 1.45 million people with absolutely nothing else to do.

Both shows launched back-to-back on Monday on E!.

Dina Lohan recently told The View that she opened her home to cameras, "to defuse rumors about my family." Naturally. The more people think you care more about fame than your children, the more you should be on television.

Meanwhile, Richards has been criticized by ex-husband Charlie Sheen and his fiancee Brooke Mueller for including her daughters on the series. She's a terrible human being.

Reality TV to Shine Eye on T.I.

We can live with farmers searching for wives on national television, or even the non-stop smattering of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag photos.

We understand it's reality TV's world and we're just living in it.

But MTV might be going too far with its upcoming series. The network has ordered eight episodes of a show focused on rapper T.I., letting viewers watch him do community service prior to his one-year prison sentence, which he'll start serving in the spring of 2009.

Come on, MTV. You're really gonna reward an infamous lawbreaker with his own series?!?

The untitled series has already captured T.I.'s release from house arrest and will begin shooting full-time this summer, as he performs his 1,000 hours of community service.

T.I. was arrested last October after his bodyguard-turned-informant delivered three machine guns and two silencers to the hip-hop star, who is not allowed to own firearms because he was convicted of a felony in the late 1990s for selling crack cocaine.

Reality TV Recaps: A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, Hell's Kitchen

How are you surviving your first week in ages without American Idol or Dancing with the Stars? Here's a look at last night's two biggest reality shows to try and get you through these tough times...

A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila:  Jay thought Sirbrina was going to win the whole thing. The Message in a Bottle tells the daters to put on wrestling singlets which excites George, since he's a wrestler. Each team has two guys and two girls and victory comes with two pins... -- BuddyTV

Hell's Kitchen: Tonight's episode began with the blue team rallying around one another, continuing to discuss the problems they have with Jen. Bobby said she is a baby that "didn't impress me," andhe and Louross both agree that they are just going to let the cooking do the talking from now... -- TV Guide

Rooster McConaughey on Search for Black Gold

Move over, Matthew McConaughy. Your brother is ready for his reality TV close-up.

Indeed, Rooster McConaughey - whose real name is Michael Patrick - is as a pipe supplier who will starring in a new reality show from the producers of Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers. The new show, Black Gold, will offer a glimpse into the lives of men with some of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Rooster McConaughey

It premieres June 18 on some network called truTV and takes viewers inside the race to find oil in Texas. While Rooster doesn't work on an oil rig, he supplies the pipes for the drills, which typically go down 10,000 feet below the earth's surface.

We assume this is more exciting to watch than it is to write about.

Premiere Date Announced for New Season of America's Best Dance Crew

Randy Jackson might be done with this season of American Idol, but he's scarcely taking a rest from reality TV.

MTV has announced that the second season of Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew will premiere Thursday, June 19.

The series will follow a similar format to the show's first installment, which aired earlier this year and was won by San Diego-based crew JabbaWockeeZ. Say that name ten times fast, readers. Or even one time slow.

The show will start with 10 dance teams consisting of five to seven members and during each episode, the squads will rehearse themed choreography for that week's showdown before competing against one another.

Each crew's performance will be critiqued by former N Sync member JC Chasez, So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Shane Sparks and rapper Lil Mama.

Reality TV Recaps: So You Think You Can Dance, Last Comic Standing

A pair of season premieres aired last night. Two solid, summer reality TV shows kicked off their summer seasons, so let's summarize them now...

So You Think You Can Dance: We got things started in sunny Los Angeles as the dancer-wannabes faced judges, Nigel, Mary and Mia Michaels to get the dance party started. Cat explained that each dancer gets a minute on stage to impress the judges and that one of three things will happen... -- Reality TV Magazine

Last Comic Standing:  The Big Apple is our starting point this season, and straight away we meet new co-host/semi-scripted interstitial performer Fearne Cotton. She's British and blonde and perky. If you like that sort of thing... -- Zap2It
