Reality TV Recaps: America's Next Top Model, The Biggest Loser, Big Brother

While American Idol captured the attention of most households, here's a recap of three other reality TV shows from last night:

America's Next Top Model: Since America's Next Top Model is back in New York this season, the models all meet up in a Soho cafe, where Amis tells everyone she's changed her name because of the other Aimee on the show this season, and claims that the name Amis is in the Bible. -- San Francisco Chronicle

The Biggest Loser: Jay's "head's still kinda foggy," after the loss of his brother Mark. "There really is no justice when it comes to the scale," he cries. In fact, the whole Blue Team seems kinda foggy when trainer Bob pays them a visit. -- Reality TV Magazine

Big Brother: We know that Joshuah was really upset about the lesbian lie thing with Allison. While Sheila was a part of it, she seems to be exonerated and it's all about Allison as far as Joshuah is concerned. But during the recap moments we found out that the other reason Joshuah is ticked at her is due to the vote change last week. -- TV Squad

Living Lohan to Premiere This Summer

Just when we thought it couldn't get any more pathetic than the upcoming Denise Richards reality show, or a second season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, there's this reality TV news:

Ali Lohan and Dina Lohan will be starring in a summer series called Living Lohan.

Dina Lohan and Ali Lohan

Sadly, the show won't have anything to do with these media whores being shipped to Antarctica, never to be heard from again. Instead, Living Lohan will focus on Dina's attempt to help Ali get famous, despite an utter lack of talent.

"Viewers will go inside the Lohan's Long Island home for the first time to follow Dina as she works double duty as mom and manager to help Ali try to follow in her big sister [Lindsay's] famous footsteps," a press release for the show says.

Reality TV Recaps: Flavor of Love, Project Runway, Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious

Here's a review of last night's reality TV, which featured one mainstay in the genre and a pair of shows that focus on a washed up singer and wannabe singers, respectively...

Flavor of Love: Now that Ice and Rayna are gone, the Things turn their vicious ness towards Bee-Ex and Seezinz for no discernible reasons. Hotlanta tells Prancer to stop acting like a ho, but the feisty reindeer ignores her because Hotlanta used to be a stripper. -- Buddy TV

Project Runway: We're caught up on everything we already know: Five designers are going to fashion week, but only three of them will be on TV. Rami has to beat Chris' butt one more time before he is given the chance to loosely pin fabric on a skin covered skeleton. -- TVGasm

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: Two of the Pussycat Dolls pop up in the oddly cut video to introduce this week's lesson of Charisma - something that can "turn fans into fanatics." -- Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: Big Brother, That's Amore, Scott Baio is 46... and Pregnant

One longtime reality TV show continued to spiral into the gutter last night, while the latest dating competition premiered. Oh, and Scott Baio continued to milk publicity from his daughter being born. On to the recaps!

Big Brother 9: The episode begins by flashing back to Alex and Amanda's eviction. We don't understand why people get sad after evictions. We know you're in this hyper-emotional, summer camp kind of thing, but just sign some yearbooks and get the hell out. -- TVGasm

That's Amore: The intro is overly Italian, and immediately we're certain this is a parody of reality dating shows. The girls roll up in an Italian flag limo wearing bikinis. Sadly, I believe most of these girls are actually here for Domenico Nesci because they find him precious. -- Buddy TV

So Seductive

Scott Baio is 46... and Pregnant: The episode started off with Scott trying to get Bailey's onesie on. It was not the easiest thing he'd ever done and he was trying to do it with a severe lack of sleep, but it was better than the next step in Scott's day: filling out his wedding registry with Renee and the wedding planner. - Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: Project Runway, Big Brother, America's Next Top Model

What a night it was for reality TV! And we're not even counting the performance of Brooke White on last night's American Idol. Just check out the recaps for these heavyweights in the genre...

Project Runway: This was the first part of the Project Runway finale. Our final four designers decided to go dark, goth-glam this year. Keep in mind this is the winter Bryant Park show. -- TV Guide

Big Brother: We start this episode after the veto ceremony. In the diary room, Josh explains that Matt and Natalie and Alex and Amanda are both strong couples, and the powerful foursome needs to get broken up. Alex wants to stay, but he doesn't want to campaign against his friend. -- Reality News Online

America's Next Top Model: The girls made their way to New York and the pad they are living in is gorgeous. However, there's a catch. The sleeping arrangements are far from ideal. There's one room with two to three bunk beds and there's another room with a single ginormous bed where the girls who don't get a bunk are going to have to sleep -- TV Squad

Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks to Create Reality Show

Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks are teaming up to produce a reality show. The former, of course, is responsible for Beauty and the Geek; while the latter is the brains behind America's Next Top Model.

ABC has ordered 8 episodes of the series.

"The as-yet-untitled project will feature contestants competing in a beauty pageant. Naturally there's a twist, but the network has requested that the concept remain under wraps because the show hasn't started production," The Hollywood Reporter states.

Reality TV Recaps: The Biggest Loser

While America is still buzzing over the performance of David Archuleta on American Idol last night, here's the recap of a reality show you may have missed:

The Biggest Loser: With ex-hubby Paul gone, Kelly is feeling uneasy and sad. "I feel very vulnerable," she complains. "I guess I don't like being alone." But Kelly's really the only one bemoaning Paul's absence. Brittany says she feels like Team Black will be stronger without him, while Team Blue is too busy gloating to even really notice that he's gone. -- Reality TV Magazine

Reality TV Recaps: Flavor of Love, Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious

Last night, reality TV viewers were treated to a series of skanks doing what they do best: chasing love and dancing. Here are recaps of Flavor of Love and Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.

Flavor of Love: As this episode begins, Prancer is bugged about Ice being on the radio. The ladies get dolled up for their next challenge, though Myammee is late because of her extensive beauty regimen. They're split into two teams, each one getting $1,000 to design a restaurant. -- Buddy TV

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: After the requisite recap of last week's shenanigans, we jump right in as the 12 finalists move into the loft. The girls giggle and scream and freak-out as they run around looking at everything. At one point, Natalie's confessional has her stating that she has an advantage over all the other girls because she feels she's attractive, can sing, can dance, etc. -- Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: Rock of Love, Big Brother, Scott Baio is 46... and Pregnant

Not every television in the country was tuned in to the Academy Awards last night. Some actually aired the following reality TV shows...

Rock of Love: Bret Michaels personally wakes the girls up, and then they get a note for today's challenge, all about being a cowgirl. Catherine has done barrel riding all her life. That old lady is just full of surprises. -- Buddy TV

rol2-e6.jpg

Big Brother: James came up with Operation Condor for his HOH week. As he put it: "The condor swoops in and takes the top shelf." While the name has military flair, we're pretty sure it was just an excuse to make bird noises. James and Adam thoroughly enjoyed impersonating the bird of prey. -- TV Squad

Scott Baio is 46... and Pregnant: The episode started off with the arrival of Scott and Renee's baby nurse (who came complete with a British accent), Helen. The first thing Helen did was to order Scott to never smoke inside the house again (a good bit of advice). -- Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: Survivor: Micronesia, Celebrity Apprentice, Make Me A Supermodel

While many viewers are still reeling from another sensation Lost episode, we'll recap what they may have missed on reality TV last night:

Survivor: Micronesia: Favorites won reward and fans won immunity. Kathy and Ami went to Exile Island but the idol remains hidden. This leads us to the main event of the night: The fight for Cirie... TV Guide

Chet Welch

Celebrity Apprentice: The episode begins with Omarosa gloating about Trump liking her so much that he moved her away from Piers.  Marilu Henner and Omarosa switch sides.  The teams are taken to a helicopter tarmac... Buddy TV

Make Me a Supermodel: Ronnie comes back and is welcomed by Ben; Ronnie (pictured below) tells him that the amulet worked. When Holly sees Frankie come in she has a thought bubble over her head of a kitten being hit by a lawnmower. She cries. -- AfterElton.com
