Matt Neustadt & Brooke Ward: No Wedding Date ... Yet

Matt Neustadt, the 29-year-old farmer from West Alton, Missouri, went on The CW's Farmer Wants a Wife in attempt to find a romantic partner among a group of 10 hot, single, city-dwelling women.

The winner of this ridiculous reality TV concept? Brooke Ward, a blonde, 22-year-old marketing representative from Dallas, Texas.

Stunningly, unlike Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas, the Farmer Wants a Wife duo actually suggests they are trying to make it work.

They recently went public together at a fundraising event at the Big Kahuna Celebrity Bartender Challenge in St. Charles.

Moreover, Brooke Ward has packed up and left her apartment in Hermosa Beach, California to move to St. Charles with Matt Neustadt.

"We just want to get to know one another off camera," Neustadt told the St. Charles Journal, noting that they have not set a wedding date. "We just want to try to have a normal relationship and see where things lead."

Matt Neustadt is adamant that his intentions, at least, are matrimonial.

"I am not going to date somebody I didn't think I would eventually like to marry," he said of Brooke Ward. "I have no Hollywood ambitions."

Matt Neustadt and Brooke Ward: Still Together!

Might Matt Neustadt and Brooke Ward truly be a match made in reality show heaven?

The Farmer Wants a Wife star and his chosen mate are still together, Brooke told The Orange Country Register, adding that she's on her way to Missouri to shack up with her man.

"I'm in the process of literally packing up my car," Brooke said. "I'm driving to Texas to my sister's wedding, and then I'm driving to Missouri to see my man."

Matt Neustadt and Brooke Ward are still going strong!

Brooke added that life hasn't been easy since the show stopped filming.

'"It's really crazy," Brooke said. "Right after it was filmed, Matt and I were both really confused about our intentions for being on the show, our intentions for each other, and even though you've got real feelings for each other, it was really hard to figure out.

"So we left a lot of things unsaid, and we both were kind of scared to admit we had real feelings for each other. And then when he came out here in April for some publicity, we kind of rekindled things. So now we're dating, and I'm going to move and see what happens."

Sounds oddly level-headed for a reality show contestant. We wonder if Deanna Pappas and her soon-to-be chosen soulmate will react the same way.

Matt Neustadt, Brooke Speak on Farmer Finding a Wife

Matt Neustadt chose Brooke on this week's season finale of Farmer Wants a Wife.

She's hoping it was the series finale, of course, and that this couple lasts far longer than any that got together as a result of The Bachelor.

We can't say for sure if that will happen, but we can excerpt pieces of an interview these two gave to BuddyTV:

Are they still together?

Matt: I would say we're very optimistic about seeing what we can do from here on out.  We haven't had the chance to spend as much time together as we'd like, due to the fact that we couldn't be seen together for so long.

But I have some pretty strong feelings for her, I think she has the same for me, and I'd like to see where it goes.  I'm actually very excited about seeing where it goes, but I don't think we're naïve enough to say that we're getting married tomorrow or anything.

Matt Neustadt, Brooke

Is Brooke moving to Missouri?

Brooke: Yeah, I'm actually going to move to Missouri.  Just to be close to him, because we haven't been able to hang out since all of this has happened.

It's just been really hard, so now that we actually have a chance to be a normal couple and really get to know each other and spend time together, I would love nothing more than to be near him and move.

Matt Neustadt Speaks on Wanting a Wife

Simply finding a wife isn't the only challenge facing Matt Neustadt. The framer has had to overcome a negative reactions from his home town.

"Locally, in the beginning, during filming, people were frightened. Country folks and farmers haven't been portrayed well in the media at any point in time... so rightfully people were skeptical," Neustadt said of the local's reactions towards the Hollywood production staff's arrival. "As of now, I think they are enjoying [the show]."

Matt Neustadt Shirtless

Matt Neustadt is a farmer and he wants a wife.

Locals are also recognizing this new reality star on the streets. It's just one of the new experiences and worries Neustadt faces, as he also must deal with the show's editing process.

"You definitely worry and you never know with editing, but I knew if I didn't do it on TV or say it, they couldn't make me do it," he said. "If you don't cuss on TV, they can't put a cuss word in your mouth."

Meet the Farmer Wants a Wife Bachelor, Cast

Just when you thought you'd seen all the possible reality dating shows, along comes Farmer Wants a Wife. The title of the series is father self-explanatory:

Matt Neustadt, a Missouri farmer, serves as the Matt Grant of the show, hoping to find true love from an assortment of desperate women.

Neustadt will whittle down the 10 women who are sick of city-slickers and want to try their hand at love with a country boy via a series of farm-themed challenges -- such as driving a tractor and taking care of livestock -- as well as through group activities and dates.

"I am a third-generation farmer on land owned by family members and myself," said Neustadt. "The farm has been in my family since the late 1940s."

Matt Neustadt, Possible Wives

Will Matt Neustadt find true love on Farmer Wants a Wife? We'd never thought we'd ask that question.

The 10 women competing for Neustadt's heart on Farmer Wants a Wife (which premiers on April 30 on The CW) are:

- Amanda, a 21-year-old Northwestern University student from Poughkeepsie, NY who currently resides in Chicago, IL

- Ashley, a 27-year-old Chicago Marriott Downtown senior catering sales manager from Wells Beach, ME and Chagrin Falls, OH who currently resides in Chicago, IL
