Lance Bass: Good Riddance, Julianne Hough!

Lance Bass is looking forward to next week's Dancing with the Stars finale. Especially now that Julianne Hough has been eliminated from the show.

“She was the one I was scared of the most,” Bass told People Magazine this week. “She’s the queen of Dancing with the Stars and I know that she knows how to win this thing. I love her so much, but I’m glad she’s gone and I don’t have to face her.”

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass

Will Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer capture this season's title?

The former boy bander thinks Brooke Burke is now his main competition for the title.

“She’s definitely the one I’m looking at,” he said. “She’s been in first place every week and the judges seem to absolutely love her. She could pee on the floor and they would give her 10s for it.”

Ouch. Do we sense a bit - or a lot - of bitterness on Bass' behalf?

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are OK!

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are top contenders for this season's Dancing with the Stars crown.

The tandem has more in common than alliterative first names, as their on-camera chemistry is apparent to anyone that watches the aforementioned reality show... or checks out their photo spread in the latest issue of OK!

Here are excerpts from an interview Lance conducted with Lacey for that tabloid:

Lance: When you found out who the Dancing With the Stars contestants were, who did you want as your partner?
Lacey: You!

Lance: What do you like in a guy?
Lacey: I like guys who are quirky. I'm a huge dork and not at all ladylike. I burp and sneeze and it's gross – and guys have to accept that. Anyone who is funny and a gentleman would be nice, because I meet a lot of jerks.

Playful Partners

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are among the favorites on season seven of Dancing with the Stars.

Lance: You think we can win this?
Lacey: I dunno. Do you?
Lance: I think that we're definitely on the right track.
Lacey: Yeah. We have a lot of work to do. But each week feels like a stepping-stone.
Lance: And it's all a game.
Lacey: I'm in it to have fun with you. We goof off way more than we should, but that's why we're such good friends.

Lance Bass Takes a Fall

Lance Bass took a fall during his West Coast Swing with Lacey Schwimmer last night.

So did this tandem's score, as they totaled just 21 points.

"I am so used to falling on stage that it doesn't even phase me anymore," Bass said after the show. "I've had 10 years of falling down, so I've done a lot of worse than that!"

Down Goes Lance!

Schwimmer added:

"The West Coast Swing is one of the most difficult dances - There are so many footsteps!"

But will Bass have a chance to make up for his mistake? He tied for last place this week with Cloris Leachman. Someone gets voted off the series tonight.

The Lance Bass Dancing with the Stars Blog, Part I

Lance Bass is seto to blog all about his Dancing with the Stars experience this season.

Of course, that could mean this is his first and last blog entry, as the former boy bander and partner Lacey Schwimmer might be eliminated this week. But we doubt that will happen.

Here's an excerpt from Bass' initial effort:

READY, SET, CHA CHA CHA!
This week, my partner Lacey Schwimmer and I are doing two dances - the quickstep and the cha cha. For the cha cha, there are a lot of tricks that I am worried about. As the one who choreographs our routines, Lacey likes to throw in harder steps every day. She just gets me, though. She'll always say 'we have that down, let's make it harder!' There is one move called the “wee-waa” that she made up when she was seven-years-old; she always finds a way to put it in everything.

So, we are doing the wee-wa this week, and her legs go completely underneath mine. I need to lift my legs at a certain time or else she is going to take me out!

Lacey and Lnace

How far do you think Lacey and Lance will advance this season?

Lance Bass Has Sausage Feet

Lance Bass is totally ready to go Dancing with the Stars.

He may need some ice for his feet first, however.

“I’m wearing heels!” Bass told People Magazine earlier this week. “It’s not that fun. My feet are swollen sausages every day!”

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass

Painfully, that's not all: At 29, Bass is also feeling his age after four weeks of countless hours spent preparing for Monday night’s premiere.

“It doesn’t feel the same at all,” Bass said, who is partnered with a new ballroom pro, So You Think You Can Dance alum Lacey Schwimmer. “The first thing you notice is your knees, then your lower back goes out, your arms start hurting–and the feet!”

Lance Bass Out to Prove 'N Sync Mates Wrong!

If the members of 'N Sync are to be believed, Lacey Schimmer has a lot of work in front of her.

The new Dancing with the Stars professional is teamed up with Lance Bass, and he recently told People Magazine that his former band mates used to mock his moves all the time.

"The guys always told me how terrible of a dancer I am," said Bass. "So I kind of just wanted to prove to myself that I could learn something crazy."

Seriously, how bad of a dancer could Bass have been? Wasn't moving and grooving the man reason 'N Sync was so popular for so long?

Dancing with the Stars contestants such as Kim Kardashian, who has more experience in the bedroom than the dance floor, are at more of a disadvantage than Lance Bass.

Dancing With the Stars Profile: Lance Bass

We have no problem with Lance Bass appearing on Dancing with the Stars.

But, like partner Lacey Schimmer, he should be on the professional side, not the celebrity side!

After all, Bass is best known for his days in a boy band, which consisted of non-stop singing and - wait for it! - dancing. We just hope the judges at least raise their expectations for this seaon seven contestant.

Lance Bass

As for the routine Lance is most looking foward to this fall?

"I'm really excited to do the paso doble. That's my favorite to watch because it's so intense and passionate – and you get to use a cape!"
