Lacey Schwimmer: Look Out for Mark Dacascos!

Mark Dacascos is not the best known celebrity on season nine of Dancing with the Stars.

But that isn't stopping partner Lacey Schwimmer from hyping up her man, as ABC counts down to the season premiere on September 21.

"I think that he's going to be the dark horse of the season," she told Us Weekly. "It's too soon to say, but I'd obviously hope we can make it all the way through. It's a little scary -- there's a bunch of double eliminations this time, so we're going to save it and hope we don't go home soon. I think he's going to be great."

Steve-O Eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

Steve-O went as far as his limited talent, and good-natured humor, could take him on Dancing with the Stars. He was eliminated from the show last night.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba seemed sad to see him go.

“He’s the most kindest and uplifting and dedicated person. I just fell in love with the person behind the dancer,” she said.

Poor Rumba

The Rumba proved to be the final performance for Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer.

While never mastered the Waltz or the Rumba, Steve-O said he enjoyed the experience.

“I don’t have anything to be bummed out about,” he said. “Last night was the first time I can say that my performance on television was better than any of the rehearsals leading up to it.”

Lacey Schwimmer Speaks on Steve-O, Dancing with the Stars

We don't envy Lacey Schwimmer.

The Dancing with the Stars professional is teamed with former Jackass creator Steve-O on season eight of the ABC reality competition.

She recently spoke to People Magazine about this unusual, often-bare chested partner.

His is Steve-O?
Steve-O is a workhorse. He is here everyday, five hours. He says, “Is five hours enough, Lacey? Do you think I need more than that?” So he’s just such a hard worker and we’re in very intense rehearsals everyday.

What do you think are your chances?

I think he’s this little dark horse of the competition. People don’t really know what to expect from him … I keep getting these messages on Myspace or on Facebook and they’re like, ‘Oh, man, you and Steve-O. I’m so sorry.’ I look at them and think they have no idea about this guy.

Lacey Schwimmer: Open to Steve-O Samba

Lacey Schwimmer - who made it to this past season's Dancing with the Stars final with partner Lance Bass - will be back for the next installment of this franchise.

And she says she'd be open to doing the Samba with former Jackass host Steve-O.

Lacey, Steve-O

"There's obviously no confirmation. We don't even know until a few days before the show, but it would be awesome if it were true," Schwimmer said of the Steve-O rumor. "I would be totally down to dance with him! I'm not kidding."

The eighth season of Dancing With the Stars premieres on March 9. Expect the cast list to be announced a few weeks prior to that date.

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are OK!

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are top contenders for this season's Dancing with the Stars crown.

The tandem has more in common than alliterative first names, as their on-camera chemistry is apparent to anyone that watches the aforementioned reality show... or checks out their photo spread in the latest issue of OK!

Here are excerpts from an interview Lance conducted with Lacey for that tabloid:

Lance: When you found out who the Dancing With the Stars contestants were, who did you want as your partner?
Lacey: You!

Lance: What do you like in a guy?
Lacey: I like guys who are quirky. I'm a huge dork and not at all ladylike. I burp and sneeze and it's gross – and guys have to accept that. Anyone who is funny and a gentleman would be nice, because I meet a lot of jerks.

Playful Partners

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass are among the favorites on season seven of Dancing with the Stars.

Lance: You think we can win this?
Lacey: I dunno. Do you?
Lance: I think that we're definitely on the right track.
Lacey: Yeah. We have a lot of work to do. But each week feels like a stepping-stone.
Lance: And it's all a game.
Lacey: I'm in it to have fun with you. We goof off way more than we should, but that's why we're such good friends.

Lacey Schwimmer is Also Sick

This is getting creepy.

Lacey Schwimmer says she has been diagnosed with the same ailment, endometriosis, that has put Julianne Hough on the Dancing with the Stars shelf for a couple weeks.

“A few days ago, I started feeling very shaky, very weak, and I had awful cramps … I didn’t really know what was going on,” Lance Bass' partner told The Insider. “I went to go get checked out today and I
actually have the beginning onset of what Julianne has.”

Proud Partners

For all non-doctors out there: endometriosis is a medical condition found in 5 percent to 10 percent of females; it ss the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus on the
surfaces of organs, such as the appendix, in the pelvis or abdomen.

“It hurts very bad,” she said. “Right now I’m insanely weak, and the room is spinning.”

But, for now, Schwimmer won’t require surgery. Look for her to be getting down with Bass on next week's show.

“I have medication that is taking care of it,” she said. “We caught it at a very good time.”

Lance Bass Takes a Fall

Lance Bass took a fall during his West Coast Swing with Lacey Schwimmer last night.

So did this tandem's score, as they totaled just 21 points.

"I am so used to falling on stage that it doesn't even phase me anymore," Bass said after the show. "I've had 10 years of falling down, so I've done a lot of worse than that!"

Down Goes Lance!

Schwimmer added:

"The West Coast Swing is one of the most difficult dances - There are so many footsteps!"

But will Bass have a chance to make up for his mistake? He tied for last place this week with Cloris Leachman. Someone gets voted off the series tonight.

Lacey Schwimmer Recalls Favorite Dance

With So You Think You Can Dance returning this Thursday night, past champion Lacey Schwimmer was recently asked about her favorite performance on the show.

Here's her reply:

I'd have to say the very first routine I ever did. The contemporary routine where my legs split like POP! The other reason why I would say that is because it was the first number. It's the first thing I remember being on that show.

And you know, I would perform it any day, any time, whatever. I miss it a lot. It's one of my favorites. It's beautiful.

Here's the dance in question:

Reality TV Rumor: David Cook is Dating Lacey Schwimmer

According to OK!, David Cook has more to celebrate than just an incredible run on American Idol.

That tabloid's sources say the talented rocker is dating another reality TV stalwart: Lacey Schwimmer, who finished in the top four So You Think You Can Dance last season.

The insider claims Schwimmer is "falling hard" for the rocker. She has been in the audience at the American Idol tapings for the last two weeks, even describing Cook's feelings on his brother being in attendance for last night's show:

"His brother came to town a few days ago, and he's not in the best of shape and you can tell it's affecting David and everything," Schwimmer said to People Magazine. "But I think it's a good thing that he's here because it shows that his brother is still supporting him."

So, You Think You Can Date? David Cook and Lacey Schwimmer supposedly do.

The pair met two weeks ago during rehearsals for the Idol Gives Back special.

"Lacey met David during rehearsals and they had an intense chemistry immediately! They were totally flirting and she was joking with him saying, 'Don't make your heart rate go up too high.' They have the same sense of humor," OK!'s source added.

Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Konishi: So In Love

Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Konishi are enjoying themselves on So You Think You Can Dance's current North American tour. But the main source of happiness isn't the grooving and/or the shaking.

"Being on tour is an amazing experience, but I couldn't imagine it without Hok," Schwimmer told In Touch Weekly.

Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Konishi

The 19-year-old swing and international Latin dancer and Konishi, a 22-year-old break dancer, finally went public with their relationship a couple months ago. Now, they can't say enough positive things about one another.

"He is by far the best thing that ever happened to me," Schwimmer said. "It's exciting to know that I have my best friend and my love with me at all times."

Schwimmer said she was first introduced to her man by her brother - So You Think You Can Dance second-season champ Benji Schwimmer - who knew Konishi because he also competed during the show's summer 2006 second installment, without making it as a finalist.

However, romantic sparks didn't fly between the two until both appeared as So You Think You Can Dance third-season finalists over the summer. The rest is dancing and love-making history.
