You don't need to abandon Dancing with the Stars forever, guys.

In a new interview with People, Julianne Hough says she will eventually return to the show that made her famous.

“I am appreciative to be taking this coming season of Dancing with the Stars off to focus on my other career paths like touring in support of my album and recording my next one. I look forward to returning to DWTS in early 2010," Hough said, clearing up an earlier statement in which she announced her leave of absence from the competition.

Executive producer Conrad Green said he gave Hough his blessing to “take a breather. It’s a really intensive show so we welcome our dancers the opportunity to take a break.”

Just not too long of one, please, Julianne!

Chucks Wicks heads back to the dance floor tonight, as he and partner Julianne Hough take on The Rumba.

Hours prior to the latest installment of Dancing with the Stars, Wicks previewed the routine with TV Guide:

[The Rumba is] the dance of love. It's actually been a lot of fun for me because I get to get up close and personal with her and we already have that chemistry locked in, so I think that's an advantage of us. What's not an advantage is that I still have to learn the steps! But that's what I'm gonna try to bring this week — not trying to think too much about the dance steps, but just being out there with Julianne and trying to bring that passion through.

When I get out there, I think a lot, I get nervous and this week I think I might have a chance to put that aside and show raw emotion. ... As each week goes by, I just get more comfortable with the setting, with the nerves, and I feel like I'm finally getting to a place where I need to let it all go and see what happens.

It's okay to cry, guys.

Julianne Hough says she really isn't returning to Dancing with the Stars next season.

The breathtaking professional made a similar threat in November, but changed her mind when the show paired her with real-life boyfriend Chuck Wicks.

"I wasn't planning to come back this season because I wanted to focus on my music," Hough said at Sunday night's Academy of Country Music Awards, during which she won Top New Artist. "But I went back and it’s been so much fun to dance with my good friend who happens to be my boyfriend."

Pressed about her future, though, Hough simply said: "I will be taking next season off."

So will millions of male viewers, Julianne.

Another week, another celebrity gossip magazine cover for Melissa Rycroft.

In the latest issue of Us Weekly, the Dancing Star said: "I'm a southern girl. You make it fried, I will eat it."

Despite this seemingly unproductive advice, the tabloid promises to reveal the dieting secrets of Rycroft and fellow beauty Julianne Hough. We can save readers the cost of purchasing this trashy publication:

On this season of Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough has taken control of boyfriend Chuck Wicks.

And that appears to be how each of these celebrities like it.

“We’ve never experienced anything like this where I have to kind of be in charge and he has to listen to me,” Hough said in a MySpace Celebrity video. “We’re growing, we’re learning about each other in a different way.”

 Julianne Hough and Chucks Wicks have already won the prize for Best Looking Pair. But will they take home the crystal ball trophy in May?

Added the country singer:

“We’ve had less date nights since we’ve started this show. It makes us appreciate everything more. I’ve found out a whole new side of her that I completely love.”

While we still hate you for dating Julianne Hough, at least your presence on season eight of Dancing with the Stars has brought this beauty back to our living room.

Hough initially said she would sit out a season of the show, but she has updated her MySpace celebrity blog to explain why she has come back.

“It was a last minute deal. I was set on taking this season off and then last minute the show asked me to do it because they had asked Chuck to do it and they thought it would be cool if we danced together," the gorgeous professional wrote.

“At first I still said no because I wanted to focus on my music,” she added, “BUT then I thought about it for a day and figured this out. I can still write, go on tour and work on Julianne Hough the country singer because Chuck will be my partner and that will be a huge luxury.”

So warns the country singer's real-life girlfriend, as he's paired with Julianne Hough on the new season of Dancing with the Stars.

The gorgeous professional told People Magazine this week that she won't take it easy on her loved one.

“I might kick him in the butt a little harder than with my other partners," she said, adding that Wicks is actually a decent dancer. "To be honest, he’s actually really good. He’s never really danced before – well, he told me he does a mean electric slide, but I never saw it!"

Wait, guys! You may wish to tune in for Dancing with the Stars next season after all!

A couple weeks after saying she was leaving the series in order to pursue a music career, Julianne Hough now says she may return to the reality TV dance floor.

"I may have put my foot in my mouth when I said I wasn't going to come back next season," Hough told Entertainment Tonight last week. "I just meant that maybe I'll come back next season, maybe I won't."

What a tantalizing tease Hough is. We love it!
 
"We're still talking about it and everything," Julianne added.  "So yeah, I said I might have put my foot in my mouth."

Note to Julianne Hough: you can put your foot, or any body part, in our mouths any time.

She's become a household name on Dancing with the Stars, but Julianne Hough is moving on and concentrating on the next stage of her career.

“I’m actually going to take next season off and really focus on music,” Hough said at the 36th annual American Music Awards in L.A. Sunday.

In fact, after Thanksgiving, Hough, 20, plans to go to Nashville to record and settle into her new place. She just bought a condo down there.

“I’m so excited to go back,” said Hough. “Get ready for the next record, start writing, going on tour, [and] promoting this record.”

Her self-titled debut CD, Julianne Hough, hit #1 on Billboard’s Country Album chart. That played a role in her hanging up the dancing shoes.

Julianne Hough, 20, first appeared on Dancing with the Stars in March 2007, quickly became on the show’s most popular dancers and reigned twice, winning titles with lucky partners Apolo Anton Ohno and Helio Castroneves.

But she’s not looking back.

“I’m sad to say that I don’t really, but I’m sure I probably will when the show comes around next season,” said Julianne of missing the ballroom.

But she hopes fans who once rooted her and partner Cody Linley will now cast their votes for her brother, Derek Hough, and partner Brooke Burke.

We hope Dancing With the Stars is prepared to lose the demographic of young, horny men.

Two days after being voted off season seven, Julianne Hough says she's likely hanging up her dancing shoes in favor of a microphone.

"I won't be on Dancing this spring season. I don't know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see," the beautiful professional wrote in her blog. "I'm definitely going to focus on the music. My first album was a learning experience, and I can't wait for the next one. I feel like the writing and producing will be even better, really awesome."

As we fight back tears over this news, Julianne makes a prediction regarding next week's finale.

"I hope [Brooke Burke and Derek Hough] win. I think they deserve to win," she said. "From day one, they've been awesome. I think Brooke is the most technically sound of the celebrities and she's a beautiful dancer."
