Melissa Rycroft is Rooting for Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski

It's been pretty much confirmed that Ed Swiderski slept with Lindsey Johnson - and tried to bed Bethany Steffen - just a few days after he proposed to Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette.

But Harris (either loyal or blissfully ignorant) is sticking by her man.

So is Melissa Rycroft, Jillian's Bachelor competitor and friend. When asked about her pal and her shady fiance, Rycroft told Us Weekly:

"She is doing really well. Her and Ed are happy, and I know she is going to become a U.S. citizen. She's moving to Chicago [where Swiderski lives]."

So, does this mean Melissa thinks Jillian and Ed are bound for the altar?

"I absolutely do," she said. "I know they love each other, and I know they are planning a wedding, and I know she wants to marry him. I hope it works out for them."

Ed Swiderski Emails: Revealed!

We can't claim to know what's going on in the heart of Ed Swiderski, the apparently shady invididual that won over Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette.

But we can now claim to have a much clearer idea of Ed's relationship with a pair of other women - while he was appearing on the show! - because a series of emails between himself, Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen have been revealed.

Some dude named Reality Steve has posted every word of every exchange between Ed and these two women on his site. We've summed them up below:

  • Just a couple weeks prior to taping the show, Ed emailed Bethany Steffen and wrote he "would be doing the show for the wrong reasons," adding that he was not attracted to Jillian;
  • While taping The Bachelorette, Ed wrote to Lindsey "I'm going to molest you when I get home." Seriously!
  • As viewers know, Ed left the series, supposedly due to work. In Chicago, he slept with both women; neither was aware of the other's existence;
  • While in Chicago, Ed attended a wedding with Lindsey and then said he had to go to Texas for work (he actually went back on the show);
  • After Ed returned from taping the show - and proposing to Jillian, of course - he slept with Lindsey.

Ed is either The Man or a lying bastard, depending on your point of view.

And The Bachelorette is either a sham or the most engrossing, hilarious show on TV, depending on your point of view.

Wes Hayden Reflects on The Bachelorette, Feels Bad For Jillian and Ed

Wes Hayden was this season's most hated man on The Bachelorette - but only by the fans. Jillian Harris liked him enough to take him all the way to the top four, and the singer just wrapped up a guys’ weekend with fellow contestants.

“Tanner [Pope], who lives in Dallas, drove up while Mike [Stagliano] and David [Good] and the rest of the guys flew in to have a good time,” Wes said.

The group hit hot spot Ranch 616, where they shared dinner, drinks and gossip about The Bachelorette winner and alleged cheater Ed Swiderski.

“I had no clue whether Ed had a girlfriend on the show. I didn’t know,” says Wes, who was also rumored to be dating Laurel Kagay on the show.

“If it’s true, I feel really bad for Jillian. I don’t know what to believe to be honest with you. I feel bad for Jillian and for Ed. But if in fact he was doing what everybody’s been saying, then he's got to man up and deal with it.”

Wes Hayden feels bad for Ed Swiderski. Unless the rumors he cheated on Jillian Harris are true, in which case, that's just messed up, man.

The controversial country singer, who says not to believe everything you see on TV, has doubts about whether romance can blossom on The Bachelorette.

“I have a hard time grasping that the show’s intentions are genuine,” he said.

“If Jillian honestly came on the show looking for love, thought that she found it and then found out it was made up and Ed was cheating on her, that’s awful.”

As for Jillian, Wes Hayden says, “We connected on the show and we’re always going to be friends.” But he’s focused on pushing his first album Full Circle.

“I’m not dating anybody; I’m way too busy right now,” he says, however: "But you know, if I meet the right woman, I’d definitely like to settle down.”

The Bachelorette Finale: Jillian Harris Picks Ed Swiderski!

Jillian Harris chose, and was proposed to by Ed Swiderski, last night on the season finale of The Bachelorette. She said yes. It was romantic and awesome.

The episode was not as shocking as last season's Bachelor conclusion, but it did have one big twist: The return of Reid Rosenthal, who proposed as well!

That meant Jillian not only had to choose between Ed and Kiptyn Locke, but also Reid, who was now giving her the commitment she was longing to hear.

Ultimately, though, Jillian had eyes only for Ed. She is happy.

The Bachelorette Recap: Week Nine

Three romantic Hawaii dates. Two roses. One case of performance anxiety.

Having bid farewell to Wes Hayden, Jillian Harris was left with just three men last night - Kiptyn Locke, Ed Swiderski and Reid Rosenthal. Tough choice.

This week’s episode of The Bachelorette was full of excitement, well except in Ed's case. Guy had a little trouble when it came to expressing "feelings."

There were plenty of serious questions about each guy's commitment, however, and in Jillian Harris' mind, two definitely outperformed the other there.

Who got a rose and a ticket to the season finale in two weeks? Who got a plane ticket home? How awesomely cute is Jillian Harris?

The Bachelorette Recap: Week Eight

Four dates in Spain. One guy who had it coming.

This week’s episode of The Bachelorette was full of romance, but once again focused on Wes Hayden and whether he is dating Laurel Kagay back home.

The lovely Jillian Harris seemed to finally catch on to Wes' true intentions - or at least put him on the spot a bit. But could he weasel his way out again?

Who stayed? Who got the boot? Was Ed successful in his return to the show? Is Kiptyn still Mr. Perfect? Can Reid rise to the occasion?

The Bachelorette Recap: Week Seven

Five hometown dates.

Two "surprise" comebacks.

Two more eliminated suitors.

This week’s episode of The Bachelorette had at all.

The lovely Jillian Harris was prepared to eliminate one guy, but the surprise return of Ed from his self-imposed exile made her choice even more difficult.

There was also the matter of Jake coming back to warn her that Wes has a girlfriend. If it seemed staged, that's because it absolutely was.

In any case, can anyone stop Kiptyn Locke (below) from winning the title?

Who stayed? Who got the boot? Did Wes survive Jake's attempt to sabotage him? And did Ed make the cut in his bid for another shot?

The Bachelorette Recap: Week Six

Eight dudes. Five roses. Many ulterior motives. One foot fetish.

Last night on The Bachelorette, lovely Jillian Harris sent three more guys packing, narrowing her group of potential husbands to five, with the always-entertaining "hometown" visits on tap for next week's episode. Hot stuff.

Tensions ran high as Wes boasted of being there only for his music career, Tanner P. dropped F-bombs (and his pants) and Michael was desperate to pull out all the stops and prove he wasn't an immature 25-year-old.

Who stayed? Who got the boot? Which "perfect" guy was unexpectedly eliminated, but may be planning a late-season return (Jake)?

The Bachelorette Recap: Week Five

Last night on The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris sent another fella packing, while one withdrew from the show of his own volition, choosing work over her!

At the end of the night, only eight men remained, including two who most fans already love ... to hate with a passion. It's getting better every week.

Who stayed? Who got canned? Who just up and left?

The Bachelorette Speaks: Jillian Harris Chose the Right Man!

Jillian Harris admits that she wasn't the ideal Bachelorette candidate.

But she sounds pleased with her decision to star on the show, as the Canadian cutie tells OK! that she's found the right man. Here's what else she had to say:

On becoming The Bachelorette: I'm a super-real and down-to-earth person, so I understand that it's a crazy and unrealistic way to meet somebody, but I thought I would give it a try.

On choosing the right man: I'm a firm believer that I made the right decision. The relationship failing is a fear, but I can't control that. If it happens, it happens. I will be in the same place that I was before this, which is a great place.

On moving on from Jason Mesnick: I knew pretty early on that he had chosen Melissa [Rycroft] and because she had become one of my good friends – you know how it is when you might think somebody is cute and then they start dating your friend and you get over it right away? So that helped, because I was so happy for [them].
