Hugh Hefner Confirms New Season, Cast of The Girls Next Door

Kendra Wilkinson, Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison all may have moved on (to a football player; a Travel Channel show; and various boy toys, respectively), but Hugh Hefner is still playing house with a trio of busty blondes at the Playboy Mansion.

And viewers will soon welcome this threesome into their homes: earlier this week, Hefner confirmed a new season of E!'s The Girls Next Door.

It will star Crystal Harris and The Shannon Twins, Karissa and Kristina. Asked about the show at the Sports Dream Celebrity Poker and Pool Party on Monday, Hef pointed to his beautiful entourage and said:

"You are looking at part of the cast here. We are going to have a lot of fun."

So, what will the series focus on this fall? Coming from a man that walks around in a bathrobe, what do you think?

"Fun and games!" Hefner said.

Hugh Hefner Hints at Multiple Girls Next Door Spinoffs

Hugh Hefner knows a thing or two about multiples.

So it's worth noting that the Playboy founder doesn't merely believe that The Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson is getting a spinoff; he thinks all three of his main girlfriends will soon have their own series..

"I think all three girls are likely to get spinoffs. I think they will be interconnected to the main show, and we will all appear on both," Hefner told E!

Which Girl Next Door would you most wanna see in her own spinoff?

For now, however, the popular bedroom buddy and his gal pals have other things to think about, such as the October 5 premiere of season five of The Girls Next Door.

"It's amazing. We're about to launch season five," he said, adding, "We thought it would be a one-season wonder."

Hugh Hefner and Kendra Wilkinson: Tension at the Mansion?

After reading the June issue of Elle, which featured an interview with The Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson was reportedly furious after she saw that writer Daphne Merkin didn't sugarcoat the article.

Page Six reports:

Wilkinson was hurt that she was described as "giving off a palpable air of anxiety." Merkin also quoted Wilkinson as saying her fake breasts were "my best investment" and said the blonde referred constantly to her "slight acne."

"I'm very insecure right now about my face," Wilkinson told Merkin. "I get scared with Hef looking at me at the mansion and maybe thinking I'm ugly." Merkin also mentions Wilkinson's "fleeting attention span," her "dazed personality and limited vocabulary" and quotes Hefner describing Wilkinson's "distinctly unintellectual charm" by mockingly saying, "Books? What books?"

Mwah!

On an appearance on Larry King Live, Hefner promised to defend Kendra's honor. But the Playboy owner didn't exactly follow through. Instead, he wrote the following letter:

I just finished reading your article ... and think it's the best, most perceptive piece on the show to date...I hope you get a chance to do a longer story for the New York Times or The New Yorker.

Wow, interesting. Could Kendra be demoted? We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, check out Holly Madison nude right now!
