DeAnna Pappas Speaks on The Bachelor

With her "shocking" return to The Bachelor just two weeks away, DeAnna Pappas spoke about why she rejected Jason Mesnick in favor of Jesse Csincsak on The Bachelorette last summer - then later dumped Csincsak.

"I believe we all make mistakes in our lives and learn from them ... it came down to two different people. Jason, who has it all together has everything a woman would want. And then there's Jesse, who kind of was a wild card," DeAnna told Extra.

"I felt like the wild card was going to work out. Someone to keep me on my toes. Eventually, it wasn't what I was attracted to anymore," she added.

Both Jason Mesnick and Jesse Csincsak attempted to propose to DeAnna Pappas during July's broadcast of The Bachelorette's fourth-season finale.

DeAnna Pappas rejected Mesnick before he could, then presented Jesse Csincsak (above) with the final rose. After months of wavering over a wedding location, Pappas announced in November she had broken up with Csincsak.

As for her reunion in New Zealand with Mesnick on The Bachelor, Pappas called it positive experience - for her and hopefully Bachelor viewers as well.

"I believe that it's going to resolve some issues for myself and possibly some viewers," she said.

DeAnna Pappas Talks About Wedding ... Show

The former star of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, didn’t get her fairy-tale ending after two seasons on the reality TV hits.

But that hasn’t stopped her from helping other brides-to-be plan their big day as the host of Get Married, a wedding show airing on Lifetime.

In an interview with People, DeAnna talked weddings, her breakup with Jesse Csincsak, her visit to The Bachelor and Jason Mesnick and more:

Q: Tell us about your new co-hosting gig on Get Married?

DeAnna Pappas: It is the bride’s guide to getting married, from finding the right dress and invitations to writing vows, picking a cake and planning the honeymoon. The show handles broad topics and refers viewers to the site GetMarried.com where they can find local vendors and even more tips. My co-host Colin Cowie and I also have blogs on the site. Me, I just talk about everyday life and my ongoing quest for love.

Q: Why did you want to host this show?

DeAnna Pappas: When the opportunity first came about, I was engaged, and when the president of the company contacted me in Colorado, I thought I could learn something [for my wedding] and follow my TV hosting dream.

Q: What do you say to people who question your credibility as a host of a wedding program?

DeAnna Pappas: I have very thick skin but negative comments would get anybody down. I still very much want to fall in love, get married and have my own family. My beliefs and wants and needs haven’t changed. I am still the same person even though I am no longer engaged. Colin is not engaged or getting married and the last two hosts weren’t either. There is so much focus on me because I was that girl who went on two reality shows to find love and it didn’t work out.

DeAnna Pappas' New Gig: Wedding TV Show Host!

The Bachelorette star DeAnna Pappas didn’t get her happily ever after on reality TV, but she’ll be helping other brides-to-be plan their dream weddings. It may seem a bit odd, considering what she just went through, but she's psyched!

DeAnna, who recently called off her engagement to show winner Jesse Csincsak, will be co-hosting Lifetime network’s Get Married.

The second season of Get Married premieres January 5. DeAnna Pappas announced her new gig on the show's blog, writing:

“I am so happy to be co-hosting the new season of Get Married! Every weekday morning I will be bringing you the latest in wedding planning tips and trends, and weekly I will be blogging here at bloggerbrides.com.”

“Many of you may know me from seeing me on television looking for love ... The second show, many of you watched as I got down to one man ... he got down on one knee and proposed to me ... unfortunately we have since gone our separate ways but still remain very good friends. From my personal love experiences and sharing the ups and downs of love with my friends, I have become a go-to girl among my girlfriends who have become beautiful brides themselves.”

In light of her recent breakup with Jesse Csincsak, some question if DeAnna really makes the best co-host of a wedding show. It does make you think.

But Get Married CEO Stacie Francombe, who hired Pappas after watching her on The Bachelorette’s fourth season, says DeAnna is right for the job.

Chris Harrison Speaks on DeAnna Pappas Breakup

It was a shocking breakup none of us saw coming.

Chris Harrison opened up Monday about the recent split of the latest star of The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, and her former fiancé, Jesse Csincsak.

The host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette told 104.3 MY fm's Valentine in the Morning: "DeAnna went to Breckenridge last week and broke up with Jesse. He was stunned. I've talked to Jesse several times, and he did not see it coming."

Harrison, Chris

Chris Harrison claims DeAnna Pappas leaked the break-up to the press early.

"They agreed that this was not gonna get out to the public until Thursday, they were going to release a joint statement and try and keep this above board, and she went out on her own, leaked it, and so he's just feeling a little beat up."

"He really truly loved DeAnna," Chris Harrison said of Jesse Csincsak.

"He was so happy and he's like, 'Let's just go, let's go to Breckenridge, let's go to Atlanta, let's get the heck out of here, and let's live our lives. Let's just get to know each other and hang out.'"

Interestingly, Harrison says that DeAnna Pappas - for all her laid-back, authentic, down to earth charm, has big Hollywood dreams.

He says Pappas has been getting "bad advice" from people like "paparazzi guys, and other people that she's been running into that have filled her head with, you know, these dreams that she's going to come to Hollywood and make it big and do all this stuff. And I think her head's getting a little bigger than it should and I think that's led to this as well."

DeAnna Pappas Breaks Up with Jesse Csincsak

Say it ain't so, DeAnna Pappas!

In stunning news, last year's Bachelorette has broken up with Jesse Csincsak. The heartbroken man himself relayed the news to fans in an hysterial video. Check it out now:

Jesse Csincsak, Heartbroken

Considering this development, we have two words for the newly single DeAnna: Jason Mesnick. Think about it.

DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csincsak Go to Disneyland

They're not walking down the aisle until next May (when Andy Baldwin is going to officiate at their wedding), but The Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas and fiancé Jesse Csincsak got a jump on the festivities during a visit Wednesday to Disneyland:

With news that their reality TV idol, Trista Sutter, is pregnant with her second child, these two look determined to make it to the altar in May. They would be only the second couple from The Bachelor / The Bachelorette to do so.

DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csincsak Torn on Wedding Venues

After publicly declaring they wanted to get hitched in the Bahamas – where they’d fallen in love on The Bachelorette – DeAnna Pappas and fiancé Jesse Csincsak’s "destination" wedding may be changing ... destinations.

“At first we said the Bahamas and now we’re kind of torn between a few different places,” DeAnna Pappas told People on Thursday.

They do know, however, what they’ll be wearing.

“I’ll wear a white dress, and we are going with some brown bridesmaid dresses, that’s all I care about,” said Pappas, 26.

As for the snowboarding pro and his fellas? “We’re not going to wear tuxes,” said Jesse Csincsak, also 26. "We’re going to get custom-made suits. I might wear some Nike 6.0’s instead of uncomfortable dress shoes.”

The couple, now in full wedding planning mode, is said to be planning an all-out celebration for their scaled-down May 9, 2009 nuptials.

“We want to do like a four-day weekend where you do a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,” said Jessie Csincsak.

“My family and her family can get together and do fun stuff.” Pappas added, “They get along very, very well. They love each other.”

Andy Baldwin is said to be officiating at this. Seriously.

DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csincsak Talk Wedding Planning

The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak may have gotten engaged on national TV, but they are looking for a more intimate feel for their May 9, 2009 nuptials. The bride-to-be said of the process:

“I think we want to enjoy ourselves and our day versus having to talk to a bunch of people all day long. So, we’re dwindling it down."

Hard to argue with that. How's the planning going?

“I don’t know how people plan a wedding,” DeAnna Pappas told People. “I know what color I want my dresses to be, and bridesmaids’ dresses. He wants a cheesecake. And that’s about as far as we’ve gotten.”

DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csincsak Picture

“Our relationship obviously is our main focus right now,” Jesse Csincsak added. “It’s not this huge thing everyday. We’re both so busy. We don’t have time right now to plan a wedding, and we’re planning a wedding, which is crazy.”

As for The Bachelor stars on the invite list?

“I’m friends with a lot of the guys from the same season I was on, Jason [Mesnick] being one of them,” said Csincsak. “[Chris] Harrison is a great guy. Trista and Ryan [Sutter] have been super-influential to us. We’re psyched to have all of them there.”

Andy Baldwin is scheduled to officiate. Really.
