Dancing With the Stars Profile: Rocco DiSpirito

Rocco DiSpirito may spend a lot of time in the kitchen - the man is a world famous chef, after all - but don't doubt his level of physical fitness.

Rocco should have no problem keeping up with his Dancing with the Stars competitors. How come? Because he's also a triathlon competitor, one that participated in the prestigious Ironman St. Croix. Impressive.

This former reality TV star - he used to be the star of The Restaurant - will be teaming with Karina Smirnoff in the fall. She's actually been romantically linked to two of her partners in the past.

Will this be the case with DiSpirito? It seems unlikely. He's rumored to be dating Eddie Murphy's ex, Tracey Edmonds.

Dancing With the Stars Showdown: Who'll Last Longer?

Veteran actress Cloris Leachman, 82, is the oldest human being ever to take to the floor of Dancing With the Stars cast. Pretty cool.

Cody Linley, 18, best known for his work on Hannah Montana, is the youngest. He'll be dancing with Julianne Hough, lucky jackass.

Who do you think will go the longest without being sent home?

The Krazy Konnections of Kim Kardashian

Despite a painful foot injury, Kim Kardashian will be a contestant on this season of Dancing with the Stars.

Some critics may be wondering how this came to be. After all, the show aims to capture the family demographic - another contestant this season is Hannah Montana co-star Cody Linley - and, well, Kardashian rose to fame because she starred in a sex tape alongside Ray J.

Our Reality TV Scoop spies have researched Kim's connections on the show, and we've determined the pattern of events that led to such a surprising selection.

See, Kardashian is partnering with Mark Ballas... who dated Sabrina Bryan... who is in The Cheetah Girls with Adrienne Bailon... who is dating Kim's brother, Rob. Just take a look at the tree below. It will be easier...

Julianne Hough: Returning to Dancing with the Stars!

Countless rumors about which celebrities will appear on Dancing with the Stars this season have been floating around. But here's one return we can confirm:

Julianne Hough will be back on the show!

The 19-year old beauty released her first self-titled country album earliet this year. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's country album list and No. 3 on the Hot 200 albums list.

Still, Hough won't hang up her Dancing with the Stars just yet.

Not Done Dancing

Breathe easy, guys. Julianne Hough is coming back to Dancing with the Stars.

"Julianne will come back on the show, and she's going to be able to sing on the show," said Kim DelGrosso, creative director of Orem's Center Stage dance studio, the performing arts center that ABC has drawn a number of professional dancers from for the series.

Derek Hough, Julianne's brother, will also return for the upcoming season. It begins on September 24.

The Latest Dancing With the Stars Rumor: Adam West

The Dancing With the Stars rumor mill is in full swing!

The latest random celebrity to be mentioned for next season's cast? Adam West, the original Batman.

According to The New York Post, the 79-year old is "is in outstanding shape," a source told the newspaper. "He works out an hour a day and walks with his big dog on his farm in Sun Valley, Idaho."

Adam West

A rep for West said that he is "not definite yet, but is one of the people they are seriously looking at. They will decide on everyone on Aug. 25."

We'd love to see the actor on the show. We just hope he can find time in between his obligations as Mayor of Quahog on Family Guy.

Dancing With the Stars News, Casting Updates

Here's an interesting reality TV casting note: An 82-year-old Oscar winner, Cloris Leachman, was being considered by Dancing With the Stars, sources say, because they needed some to work the "disability" angle.

Seriously. Think Marlee Maltin (deafness) or Heather Mills (one leg, f*%ked in the brain). They thought Cloris' age would fit the bill.

That is, until they snagged Toni Braxton, who has a heart condition, and Cloris was told to hang up her dancing shoes. Maybe next year.

Ty Murray

BT-Dubs, Dancing With the Stars producers are reportedly over the moon that Jewel and Ty Murray (above) - both in the mix for next season - just eloped in the Bahamas. A little husband-wife rivalry in the house!

Lastly, the Lance Bass rumors: He's definitely on board for DWTS, but no, the gay former *NSync member won't have a male partner.

The official cast will be announced August 25.

More Dancing With the Stars Casting Rumors

Toni Braxton is in.

Lance Bass is in.

Now, an inside source at Dancing With the Stars is naming more quasi celebrities signed up for the upcoming season. We'll let In Touch Weekly quote this alleged insider:

“Toni Braxton, Kim Kardashian, Jewel’s boyfriend Ty Murray, Dan Marino, Lance Bass and Florence Henderson will all be competing. The cast is eclectic and diverse: We’ve got young, old, gay, straight, dance professionals and people who’ve never danced before.

Some of the cast are already starting to work out and train, even though they won’t meet their dance partners for a few more weeks. It’s shaping up to be the most fun season yet!”

Based on those named above, can't say we agree.
