Zack Wilson: Dance War Hopeful, Former Julianne Hough Fiance

Zack Wilson is not your typical contestant on Dance War.

Granted, the member of Bruno Tonioli's team hopes to earn a living in the world of dancing, just like anyone else on the program. But Wilson also possesses a background unlike other hopeful on the reality competition.

Like Julianne Hough and Derek Hough - of Dancing with the Stars fame - Wilson trained at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Orem, Utah. Moreover, he's the former fiance of Julianne!

Word spread last year that Hough called off her wedding, but the name of her main man at the time was never revealed. Until now. It's unknown if she and Wilson are still a couple.

Meanwhile, Zack does appear to have a bright future on the dance floor. Carrie Ann Inaba has said he has "All-American appeal," while Bruno's assessment is also positive:

"He's got a different feeling, like a gentleman…so strong, a real leading man." With Zack leading his team, Bruno thinks his group of performers is "a slick, lean, song-and-dance machine."

Reality TV Recaps: Dance War, American Gladiators

Last night's reality TV consisted of two kinds of wars: dancing and jousting.

Take a look at what went down on Dance War and American Gladiators:

Dance War: Team Bruno performed to a classic Elvin tune, "A Little Less Conversation." And Zack's voice came across as quite natural, surprisingly. The girls didn't do much other than sing backup vocals.

American Gladiators: Last night's was the first time one of the four previous winners could be knocked out of the final eight. The men were first into the fray facing off against Titan, Mayhem, Toa, and Justice in Gauntlet. Carrie Ann Inaba Excited, Nervous for Dance War

Carrie Ann Inaba has high hopes for her new show. Just look at which program she recently compared it to:

"It's a little bit more like American Idol," said the Dancing with the Stars judge. "This is really about kids pursuing their dreams. That mentoring aspect is important."

Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann, which will follow the two Dancing with the Stars judges as they lead their respective teams of singers and dancers against one another for home viewer votes, premieres on Monday, January on ABC.

"I'm excited - but I'm not going to lie - it scares me," Inaba added.

Dance War Premiere Date Set

Drew Lachey PicDon't tell us you're sick of celebrities dancing! Drew Lachey certainly hopes this isn't the case, as his new reality show now has a premiere date.

Dance War will kick off Monday, January 7 at 8 p.m, occupying the time slot currently held by Dancing with the Stars.

After its final performance show on November 26, the network will fill the hour during December with various holiday specials.

Scheduled to run for six weeks (likely until the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars is ready to go), Dance War will pit judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba against each other as they lead dance teams into combat with one another.

Sounds like a winner to us. Count us in.
