Reality TV Recaps: The Real World, Big Brother

While it may seem as though Big Brother has been on forever, it's only churned out half the number of seasons as MTV's The Real World. Below, we recap both reality TV mainstays...

The Real World Hollywood: We first met Joey, 24 years old from Chicago, who wants to be an actor. He's very concerned with his looks, feeling that a good body is the key to success in Hollywood. Kimberly, a 24 year old from South Carolina, is introduced next. She wants to be an entertainment reporter for E! News... -- BuddyTV

Big Brother: We start with booming announcer guy reminding us that everyone left hates Nat. Moose and Ryan say that it might be smart to keep someone who would automatically lose in the final two, but come on... -- TVGasm

Reality TV Recaps: Hell's Kitchen, Big Brother, The Biggest Loser

We're still in awe of David Cook's performance on American Idol last night. But here's a recap of three other reality shows from the evening...

Hell's Kitchen: Jen is still upset about Corey picking her and Christina for elimination last week. She says that "the dumb blonde" was stupid to pick the most intelligent person in the group and one of the strongest in the group, though she doesn't clarify which she is... -- TV Squad

Gordon Damn-say!

Big Brother: Natalie, delusional little chipmunk that she is, has given up counting miscellaneous objects to concentrate on telling Adam that she is going to win the PoV and take him off the block... -- Zap2It

The Biggest Loser: Ali immediately called Mark out on all his crying this season. He made a point to say that getting voted out and then having the chance to come back made him realize how great of an opportunity it was and that he wasn't going to get wrapped up in game-play... TV Guide

Big Brother 10 Premiere Date Announced

Even though the (dysfunctional) Big Brother house is still occupied by the ninth season's final five house guests, CBS has announced the long-running reality show's tenth season is set to premiere.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 13, Big Brother fans!

Reality TV Recaps: Top Chef, Big Brother, Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious

In between donation phone calls to Idol Gives Back last night, we found time to watch a trio of other reality TV shows. Here's what we saw:

Top Chef: The guest judge is Ming Tsai, who Lisa describes as being known for his "east-meets-west cuisine." This challenge is all about a trained palate: it's the blindfold taste test. Antonia's psyched because this is her favorite challenge on the show... Reality News Online

Big Brother: James wasn't laying down on the job this week. After Adam replaced Sheila's nomination with James, the mohawked hamster went to work. His plan? Take out Natalie... TV Squad

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: This week's oddly avant garde video message tells the girls that their challenge is about "Star Quality" - the ability to stand out in a crowd and turn heads and all that jazz. When they go to meet Robin, she tells them that the weakest member will go home... Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: Hell's Kitchen, The Biggest Loser, Big Brother

While American Idol finalists attempted to inspire last night, a trio of other reality shows didn't aim nealtly as high. Their goal, instead? High ratings. Here's are a few recaps...

Hell's Kitchen: We have the ceremonial lighting of the millions of fires and spotlights that festoon the outside of Hell's Kitchen itself, making it as bright as the sun. But there's no time to speculate on their moth problem because we have to get the extremely short introductions... Television Without Pity

The Biggest Loser: On tonight's episode of The Biggest Loser, the final four contestants flew back to the campus from Australia but had to work out without their trainers. First, Rocco DiSpirito returned to the show after talking to everyone's families. He showed them their favorite dishes that they loved to eat before they came to The Biggest Loser and reminded them how unhealthy their eating habits used to be... BuddyTV

Big Brother: After Adam honored his word to James (which he later admitted was probably because he got caught up in James' sob story), Sheila went on a rampage reminiscent of her first week in the house... TV Guide

Reality TV Recaps: That's Amore, Rock of Love, Big Brother

A pair of absurd dating shows and a reality show mainstay graced television screens last night. Here's a look at what went down on each...

That's Amore: Domenico takes the two girls to Italy, but sadly, Ashley McNeely is left behind. Once they arrive at Domenico's village, the girls are a bit disillusioned to see that he lives in a tiny village out of a bad movie. -- Buddy TV

This is Amore

Rock of Love: The three girls returned to an empty house and were forced to do some cleaning because guests were arriving. Then the fateful moment when the doorbell rings occurred, it wasn't an ex of Bret's, though, the families came! -- Celebrity Cafe

Big Brother: After Adam won Head Of Household, he said he felt much more confident in his abilities with the power this time around. Natalie claimed yet again that she had a dream that Adam would win HOH, saying it's almost like God is talking to her. Well okay then.-- Reality TV Magazine

Reality TV Recaps: America's Next Top Model, Top Chef, Big Brother

As Ramiele Malubay fans continue to mourn the loss of their favorite American Idol finalist, a trio of other reality shows aired last night. Let's see what went down on them...

America's Next Top Model: the girls broke into two teams, got a GPS enabled cell phone, and had to navigate their way around New York City to try and book gigs with various modeling agencies... -- TV Squad

paulinaisquiet.jpg

Top Chef: This week's episode required the chefs to think with both sides of their brain, demonstrating their technical skills as well as their imagination. The Quickfire Challenge was almost more demanding than the Elimination Challenge, and it came with a higher reward giving the winner immunity rather than sending someone home... -- TV Guide

Big Brother: As always, we start after the veto meeting. Everything interesting in this segment always comes from the diary room. Although she's now on the block, Sharon feels safe, but she will miss Josh when he leaves. Sheila feels for the former partners being on the block, as they share a very tight bond... -- Reality News Online

It was a huge night of reality TV. American Idol contestants sang Dolly Parton; Steve Guttenberg got voted off Dancing with the Stars; and the following pair of shows aired:

Reality TV Recaps: Big Brother, That's Amore, Rock of Love

If ever there were an evening for trashy reality TV, it would be Sunday night. What better way to begin your week, right? Let's see what went down on the following three shows:

Big Brother: As usual, the Sunday night episode opened with several minutes of commentary on last week's events to help remind viewers of what had happened. In a few words, Chelsia was evicted and Natalie won Head Of Household â€" there's the first ten minutes... -- Reality TV Magazine

natalieinbbbatre.jpg

That's Amore: This is the penultimate episode of That's Amore, thank God. It's kind of amazing, and a commentary on MTV's lack of faith in this show, that 14 women can get eliminated in just six episodes... -- Buddy TV

amore-e5.jpg

Rock of Love: They arrive in Vegas without incident and are no sooner in their suite then Jessica and Destiny are delivered golf outfits for their date with Brett. Surprisingly, Jessica apparently played on her high school golf team, so she's excited about the outing... -- Zap2It
