Big Brother 10: Double Elimination Recap

Last night's double elimination episode of Big Brother was non-stop drama, but because of what happened in the Head of Household challenge, and then the Power of Veto challenge, the end result was in a sense inevitable.

Follow the jump to see which two house guests were eliminated, which five remain, and how it all went down on Big Brother 10 ...

Big Brother Power Rankings: Told You So

Dan Gheesling seems to be everyone's favorite on Big Brother now, but let it be known that in Reality TV Scoop's power rankings in each of the last two weeks, we had the supposed weak link at #1.

That's right. We rule. Of course, it can and will change in a second. Here are our updated Big Brother power rankings (due to the insane show and people involved, these are really all just guesses) ...

7. Jerry MacDonald. Tonight looks like the end of the road for the 75-year-old grandfather. He had a good run, but he's running out of friends - specifically Memphis and HoH Dan.

6. Michelle Costa. The replacement nominee after Memphis vetoed his own nomination, Michelle could be merely a pawn. But she could get axed tonight if alliances go awry.

5. Bryan Ollie. Ollie took Dan at his word and got played. He's still a strong player, but one has to question where he goes from here.

4. Keesha Smith. Flying under the radar a bit of late, which is good for her. But we still don't like her chances of going the distance.

Big Brother: Dan Gheesling

3. Renny Martyn. So crazy she just might get it done.

2. Memphis Garrett. Memphis is back in the top tier after vetoing his nomination for eviction and apparently looking strong in his alliance with Dan. Jerry predicted Memphis to win from the start, and may be right.

1. Dan Gheesling. Three straight weeks at #1 for Dan Gheesling (above), who's entertaining and smart and playing Big Brother like no one else in the house right now. But now that he's a target, the stakes are raised.

Big Brother Recap: Replacement Nominee Roulette

Dan Gheesling has become the star of Big Brother 10. He is playing the game of Big Brother on a different level than the rest of the house.

Keesha and Memphis Garrett are both pretty displeased with Dan's nomination of Memphis. Memphis, especially, is legitimately angry.

However, the key is the reason. He's mad that Dan made the deal with Ollie to begin with, not that he followed through with it.

Dan GheeslingMemphis Garrett

Dan Gheesling (left) tells Memphis Garrett (right) to trust him, and that it's good if he keeps acting angry at him in view of the others.

Everyone plays in the Power of Veto competition except Ollie. The contest is Mars-themed. The players walked outside to find the backyard decorated in a reddish Mars landscape.

On either side of the Mars surface were two platforms.

The contestants were hooked up to wires and had to fly from end to end, pick up pieces to a puzzle, bring them back to the other side, and solve it.

There were two heats, winner of each competing in one more final round. Keesha beat Dan and Michelle in the first heat.

Memphis destroyed Renny and Jerry in heat #2. Memphis then soundly beat Keesha in the finals to win the Power of Veto.

April Dowling Discusses Big Brother Eviction

There's probably more to April Dowling than the Big Brother sex tape. But who wants to hear about her hopes and dreams? Not us!

Below is the beginning of Entertainment Weekly's exit interview with April. Following her (unsurprising) eviction from the house, Dowling "conversates" with the magazine on Ollie, Keesha and so much more ...

EW: You know we're going to ask it eventually so we might as well get it out of the way now. Why the heck did you allow a 75-year-old man (Jerry MacDonald) to squeeze your boobs on national TV?

April Dowling: I think that’s the #1 question this year for Big Brother. I don’t know. Maybe I was hoping to get his heart racing and he’ll get called out early in the game. It’s all about strategy!

Dowling, April

EW: Were you trying to throw down against Keesha’s fake boobs?

April Dowling: I was trying. Mine are real! Jerry was the first to jump up and check them out but he barely touched him. He was so nervous. It was Ollie who followed next.

EW: You pretty much zeroed in on Ollie that first night, right?

April Dowling: It took us a little while to start to conversate. Once I talked to him, I learned how respectful he was and he was really easy to talk to.

Big Brother Recap: Dan and Ollie Deal

Ah, Dan Gheesling.

Whether his intentions are as he claims they are in the Diary Room is up for debate, but that's almost the point - he's playing the game.

He's taking calculated risks. We'll have to see over the next couple weeks if they work for Big Brother's biggest question mark.

As the Head of Household dragged on, Memphis' body gave out and left Ollie and Dan, who immediately began talking deal.

Dan G.

Dan, wanting to stay weak-seeming and under the radar even with a win, made a deal - he wins HoH, but Ollie can choose one nominee. He will be safe and can keep one other houseguest safe. In addition, if the PoV is used, Ollie gets to choose who goes up. Ollie agrees, giving Dan HoH.

Big Brother Recap, Spoilers: Eviction and HoH Results

Little happens in the Big Brother Live Eviction episodes.

You have highlights from the last few days, mostly involving the nominees lobbying to stay. There is a lot of Julie Chen talking. Yawn.

Finally, there's the live vote, but if you watch Big Brother to begin with, you generally have a good idea of how it's gonna play out.

April Dowling

Anyway, Ollie and April tried to convince Michelle to give them their vote.  Michelle isn't vehemently opposed, as she wants Jerry gone.

Ollie and April really want Michelle to talk to Dan. Instead, Ollie speaks with Dan (the favorite in our eyes), but Dan isn't convinced.

Big Brother 10 Power Rankings, Reloaded

Some hectic $h!te has gone down in the Big Brother house since last week.

Libra Thompson has been evicted, as accurately predicted by Reality TV Scoop. And anyone who's even glanced at the show.

Also correctly noted by us? The rise of Dan Gheesling. The supposed weakest link appears to be gaining strength by the day.

Here are our updated Big Brother power rankings (due to the insane show and people involved, these are subject to change) ...

8. April Dowling. April has been the puppet-master of this house after Libra, but it looks like her run is nearing its end.

7. Jerry MacDonald. Gramps is in the #7 spot by default, as he's nominated for eviction tonight. But we think Jerry's got the votes to stay, and is not necessarily in a bad position going forward. Especially with the way he keeps winning PoV.

6. Bryan Ollie. Even though Dan didn't use the PoV on Jerry to try to get Ollie out, he's got a bulls-eye on his back.

5. Keesha Smith (below, right). For some reason, Keesha really gets on our nerves. Call us crazy, but we suspect this factor to eventually get her kicked out of a house full of people who actually have to live with her.

Memphis GarrettBig Brother: Keesha

4. Memphis Garrett (above, left). Memphis' stock falls just a little because he seems to be emerging as a bit of a threat in the eyes of several houseguests. He's still got the smarts and the skills to last awhile, though.

3. Michelle Costa. Unpredictable outbursts and weird ties to Jessie Godderz notwithstanding, she seems to know what she's doing. Emphasis on seems to. Her success so far may be mere serendipity. Stay tuned.

2. Renny Martyn. Renny's looking good - far better than we expected - but the only question is whether her recent turn as HoH has stoked bad feelings among some of the people she's schemed against.

1. Dan Gheesling. Our #1 last week and our #1 again today. Despite being America's Player, he's kept the heat off his own a$$ remarkably well. Dan Gheesling is our tentative favorite to win this thing right now.

Big Brother Recap: April is Like, So Sad

Right now on Big Brother 10, there are two pretty strong alliances - Ollie-April-Jerry and Dan-Memphis-Keesha - with two free agents of sorts in Renny and Michelle roaming the house. It sets up an interesting dynamic.

We'll see how that dynamic evolves as last night may have sealed someone's fate if the power of veto was not used.

April DowlingJerry MacDonald

April Dowling is nominated (along with Jerry MacDonald), and she's sad. Or, maybe she's just acting. Or, maybe she really is sad but also wants the other houseguests to know she's sad by kicking it up a notch (or 10).

The Power of Veto competition is a rare night version. The players for the competition are Renny, Jerry, April, Keesha, Dan and Ollie.

Big Brother Spoilers: Power of Veto Time

Will the crucial Power of Veto be used to save either April or Jerry from eviction on tonight's episode of Big Brother?

The houseguests start thinking they are missing stuff and assume Dan is stealing it because he is America's Player.

Michelle, April, and Ollie are sure that he is.

Ollie tries to convince Michelle that she'll be safer if April stays in the house rather she will with Jerry. She says she knows that.

Memphis GarrettDan GheeslingJerry MacDonald

They are concerned as to what Dan Gheesling will do if he wins HOH, since nobody knows what his deal is.

How great is Dan? The element of mystery - and entertainment - surrounding him has him atop our power rankings.

Follow the jump for Big Brother spoilers - including who wins the power of veto and whether he or she elects to use it ...

Libra Thompson Discusses Big Brother Eviction

After letting her pull the strings since Week 1, the Big Brother 10 stars finally got wise and booted Libra Thompson Thursday.

Unfortunately for them, the self-proclaimed "puppet mistress" still has a level of control even after her eviction - Libra became the first member of the seven-person jury who crowns the winner.

TV Guide caught up with Libra to chat about her eviction, her strategy, and what she plans on doing in the sequester house ...

TVG: You dominated early on. Why do you think you're sitting here?

Libra Thompson: I'm a little bummed out for sure, but if you try to take risks in Big Brother, it's not always the best way to go. It was an experience, a journey, and I'm glad to be a part of it. And I had a lot of fun!

Libra Thompson

TVG: I've been calling you the puppet master since Week 2. Was that always your plan?

Libra Thompson: I apparently didn't get the memo. From the onset, I was going to be one of the players that just kind of stays in the background, at least until Week 5. I wasn't going to say much and just look around and see what I was working with.

TVG: That obviously didn't last very long.

Libra Thompson: Yeah, that didn't work so much. We are all A-type dynamic individuals in that house, and we all want to be heard. So as I began to see the dynamics, I decided that might not be the best play for me. And once the HOH competitions weren't going my way, I decided that maybe if I could work together with others while they were in their HOH reign and convince them what needed to happen to benefit me, that it could work. So I started working angles and putting things in people's ears, and it worked for a little bit. But, then I got busted.
