Aimee Wright Would Have Gone Nude for America's Next Top Model

Aimee WrightAimee Wright was recently voted off America's Next Top Model. Which is too bad for male fans because the beauty told TV Guide that she's gladly have bared it all to win the title...

TVGuide.com: How shocked were you to be eliminated?
Aimee Wright: I was definitely surprised. I didn't think my picture was bad enough to get me eliminated! Possibly the bottom two, but I didn't think I was going home!

TVGuide.com: You didn't want to be naked in front of the girls, but you had to know that you'd have to do the annual nude shoot.
Aimee: I'm comfortable [being nude] as a model. But it is a reality TV show â€" that part made me a little bit uncomfortable. I look at it differently. On the show it's, "Here I am to show off my body." With modeling it's, "Here I am to sell a product." I see it as a form of art.

TVGuide.com: Is there a part of you that's relieved to be out of the house?
Aimee: Oh, yeah. It was very, very stressful, and I was actually losing sleep over what the challenges might be or what the judges were going to say. I was tossing and turning in bed forever!

TVGuide.com: What was it like being in the middle of the catfights in the house? It just seemed like pandemonium!
Aimee
: There are always going to be tiffs when you have girls coming together from all over the country and from so many different upbringings. It's easy to get into arguments. I tried to stay out of the drama and the controversy.

Aimee Wright Booted from America's Next Top Model

Aimee Wright's inexperience on the runway finally caught up with her, as the young, 18-year-old hostess from Spanaway, Wash., became the fifth contestant eliminated from America's Next Top Model during this week's broadcast.

"I thought I was going to go pretty far," said Aimee, in between sobs, after her exit. "I made it farther than a lot of other girls in this competition, but I thought I was going to go farther... I wish the judges knew that I was more mature than they think I am. They seem to see me as just a very naive, young girl. I think they really got that image of me and didn't think that I was maybe ready for this competition."

Aimee Wright

America's Next Top Model's fifth 10th-season episode began following the previous panel that saw the elimination of Marvita Washington and the team of judges praising Aimee Wright for her "luminescent" skin." That didn't last.

"Coming into this I had never done any modeling or anything like that before, so this whole competition has been such a learning and growing experience," Aimee said.

It wasn't enough, though, as Tyra Banks and the rest of the panel ultimately concluded that Wright had gone as far as she could go.

Reality TV Recaps: America's Next Top Model, Big Brother

Below are highlights from some of last night's popular reality TV shows, courtesy of a pair of our online, reality TV-obsessed counterparts ...

On Big Brother, the motto is to expect the unexpected. Tonight was a good example of why we enjoy the reality TV genre. You never know what's going to be said or what will happen. Tonight's episode will go down in the classics of the Big Brother annals. We don't necessarily agree or like everything which was said or happened. But tonight was legendary. - TV Squad

Natalie

On America's Next Top Model, Claire struggled with connecting to a country music look. Aimee had a difficult time with the sensual aspect of her R&B character. Fatima and Stacy Ann worried more about posing than looking natural. Strong performances were given by Dominique, Whitney, and Katarzyna. - BuddyTV

Tyra Banks to Leave America's Next Top Model?

America's Next Top Model without Tyra Banks would be like Survivor without Jeff Probst or Britney Spears without the pink wig. Okay, scratch that last party.

What we're trying to say is that it just doesn't make sense that Banks might leave the show, but MSNBC says Tyra is unhappy at the helm and her days as the head honcho of America's Next Top Model may in fact be numbered.

Totally TyraA Tyra Banks Pic

Tyra Banks is apparently "over it" and wants to focus on her talk show. She's also not getting along with co-star Jay Manuel. Stunning.

A Top Model source said:

"It's gotten so bad. Tyra Banks and Jay aren't speaking. Tyra barely interacts with the contestants and only wants to show up on judging day."

Tyra Banks wouldn't comment on the rumors. We'll see if there is any truth to them or if this is pure America's Next Top Model gossip.

Marvita Speaks on America's Next Top Model Exit

Marvita was eliminated from America's Next Top Model this week. Below, she speaks with the Los Angeles Times about the experience:

What are you doing now, post-America's Next Top Model?
I'm just practicing posing. I'm back at home, back to working my normal retail job: I'm a cashier. But I love New York. I plan on moving there and looking for work.

How do you feel about the way you've come off on the show: Do you think it's an accurate portrayal of what you're like in real life?
To tell you the truth, the way I am in real life is just the same way I am on TV. Except that this last episode, I really didn't like it that much. I'm not like that, like when I was saying that I'm too ghetto for this. No.

Marvita Picture

Did Tyra give you any advice?
Last cycle she told me not to give up and I didn't; I came back. This cycle she said: "Your pictures are beautiful. You should go and do what you want to do."

Are you friends with any of the girls from the show?
I keep in touch with Amis; she's my best friend. I love Amis. We're so tight. In the bonus clips, we're in the house talking about moving in together. She's so cool.

America's Next Top Model Photo: Fatima with Face Paint

On last night's episode of America's Next Top Model, the contestants had their faces painted. Below is a shot of Fatima, an early favorite... except for the fact that Tyra Banks criticized her for having hairy arm pits.

Ouch.

Reality TV Recaps: America's Next Top Model, Top Chef

Here's a look at what happened on two of the country's most popular reality shows last night. One based around fashion and cat-fighting, the other based around culinary delights... and cat-fighting.

America's Next Top Model: Dominique loves Dominique in the third person, and Marvita is having trouble connecting to the rest of these girls with their cushy upbringings. Whitney takes objection to the F word - fat - unless it is spelled with a ph. Preach, sister. -- Zap2It

Reality TV Recaps: America's Next Top Model, Big Brother

A pair of reality TV staples aired last night. For those that were glued to the American Idol results show, here's what went down on Big Brother and America's Next Top Model...

America's Next Top Model: We start out the night with early confessionals from Dominique, who is overconfident despite her bottom two performance, and from Lauren who is underconfident despite her being called first by the panel. Irony and contrast noted. -- Reality News Online

Big Brother: Day 35 arrived with eviction looming.  After James was nominated to replace Chelsia (who removed herself from the chopping block) "all hell broke loose," host Julie Chen said.  It certainly didn't seem that way based on the montage that followed. -- Reality TV Magazine

Report: America's Next Top Model Takes a Dump

americasnexttopmodel_300x30.jpg According to The New York Post, the 14 wannabe models from the latest cycle of America's Next Top Model are accused of making a dump out of the $6 million TriBeCa loft where they lived for 10 weeks.

Anisa Productions, which makes the show hosted by Tyra Banks, rented the loft at 39 Lispenard St., promising landlord Michael Marvisi that any damage would be minor.

Instead, the newspaper reports the crew "punched hundreds of holes in the ceiling to hang lighting equipment," while ruining the Brazilian wood floors, forcing the owner to tear them up and install new flooring when the women moved out three weeks ago.

"These girls not only destroyed the floors, it appears they had food fights. There's ketchup and coffee splattered all over the landlord's $20,000 white drapes. There's lipstick on the walls," said the insider. "They moved in furniture and made holes all along the walls."

Other damages the contestants are accused on including a $15,000 chandelier that's beyond repair and a ruined bathroom as a result of water being constantly splashed around.

"A plumber had to come fix the toilet and the water caused $90,000 worth of damage to the electrical store on the first floor," said a source.

America's Next Top Model also "skipped out on" a $1,500 electric bill, claimed the insider, who estimated the damage totals $500,000.

We're guessing Banks does a talk show about the ordeal, painting herself as the victim.
