A quartet of reality TV stars made their presence felt in Tampa this weekend.

Indeed, two of Bret Michaels' former Rock of Love suitors posed together on the red carpet, prior to a Playboy-sponsored Super Bowl party; while Michaels himself sidled up next to a former Baywatch star and future Celebrity Apprentice contestant.

Bret Michaels may be auditioning desperate women for the next installment of Rock of Love, but he told People Magazine that he still loves season two winner Ambre Lake.

“I still love her,” Michaels said. “I’m not really over her yet. We still hang. She was just out with me a couple days ago and we were having a great time. She’s really got it. I think she’s great.”

Bret Michaels still hearts Ambre Lake, at least the best way Bret Michaels can.

Considering his career love record, what does the rocker attribute all his failed relationships?

“The reason for destruction of all my relationships is that I’m passionate about being on the road and making music,” he said. “I have great relationships. But the women I date don’t realize that I spend between 6 and 8 months of my life on the road — touring or traveling or seeing family with my daughters.”

To help him find a woman who can deal with his lifestyle, the upcoming season of Rock of Love will be shot exclusively on the road.

“Wait till they travel on a bus and are living in and out of a suitcase under the bay of the hotel,” he says. “You know they’re going to show up here with 14 suitcases when you can fit about one. I have two pairs of jeans … You learn to live like that. It’s a whole different life.”

Last Monday, Ambre Lake broke her silence on her amicable split with Bret Michaels, star of the reality dating series Rock of Love.

Now, with Rock of Love 3 set to premiere soon, she's opening up on what's coming up on her career front. Hope you're sitting down.

“I've been surrounding myself with close friends and I'm visiting my family next week,” Ambre Lake told People.

“And working out is very therapeutic for me.”

Phew. Glad we settled that.

Although a happy ending wasn't to be for Ambre Lake and Bret Michaels, she doesn't feel discouraged in her quest to find love once again.

She'd even consider doing another reality TV show.

“Reality TV gets such a bad rap. It changed my life forever and for the better. I'll never be the same. The wonderful thing about being in this reality world is that it allowed me to focus on me and focus on what I want in a man. Would I use this again to find love? It's confirmed: Rock of Love 3 is coming!

This, of course, also makes the break-up of Bret Michaels and Ambre Lake official. Gee, who could have seen that coming?

Following the news that she and the rock star are no longer an item, Lake sat down with VH1 to discuss the relationship and her current status with Michaels. Here are highlights from the interview:

Was the breakup something that happened gradually?
Yeah. It led up to one big conversation. He is so busy on tour, and I am so busy with work and my life that we didn’t have a lot of time to dedicate to a relationship. Unfortunately, when you don’t have a lot of time, it just makes it hard for a relationship to work.

From the time that Bret picked Jes over [Heather Chadwell] on the first season, or even earlier, people have wondered if Bret is afraid of commitment. Is he?
Absolutely not. He doesn’t have an aversion to intimacy at all. The great thing about my relationship with him was that it was honest and true. We developed it and had great chemistry. It was hard. We were out there for everyone to watch, which we totally signed up for. But in the dating world, you date people. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. We gave it an honest effort and it’s not anyone’s fault. It’s not his aversion to anything. Hopefully next time will work for him.

Are you going to watch next season?
Absolutely. I hope he calls me for advice. I’m there for him. Bret and I have always had a great friendship, and we still do. That’s something I’ll treasure forever.

Does your friendship make the breakup easier? Because it seems like you’re coping with it well.
Well, I’ve had some time to mull it over. You guys are just now hearing about it. I’ve dealt with the emotions and sadness. I’m not going to say I bounced back  completely, because like with anything, it takes time. But it is a little easier at this point for me.

This is almost as shocking as the discovery of a new Toastee nude photo.

Bret Michaels and Rock of Love season two winner Ambre Lake have broken up. Before you go doubting the validity of this rumor, consider the source: VH1 itself.

The network released the following statement, which announced the plans for Rock of Love 3 in 2009:

Rock star Bret Michaels tried twice to find love by filling a mansion with gorgeous women and having them compete for his heart. But after the final pass was handed out and the cameras stopped rolling, Bret’s picks didn’t work out. He and season two winner, Ambre Lake, really tried to make it work and although they still remain close friends, between his tour line-up and her work schedule there’s no time for a relationship.

“Seasons one and two of Rock of Love shattered ratings records and VH1 is so happy to have Bret back for another outrageous season. This time we’ll reveal Bret in his most comfortable setting- the infamous rock star tour bus.” said Jeff Olde, VH1’s Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production.

“Bret has been very upfront and honest about how difficult maintaining a normal relationship may be for a touring rock star. He’s right, it’s absolutely an insane lifestyle and neither of us had the time to make it work,” Lake said.

We know often write about Bret Michaels and Ambre Lake. But we're just so amazed these two are still together!

The Rock of Love star recently talked about the woman that won his show, and his heart.

"Ambre... loves my lifestyle. She's into me.  She loves music.  She's a mature woman," Michaels said.  "Before the reunion show for the second season, we'd been keeping in touch despite what the rules said.  We weren't supposed to have contact until the show was over to keep the outcome a secret, but she came to a show, we had been talking."

Do you think Bret Michaels and Ambre Lake will last?

Indeed, it's simply the question viewers must consider when watching Project: Slasher, a new interactive movie in which Lake - somehow, for some reason - stars.

Do you wanna kill Ambre Lake? Now you can!

In the odd film, Ambre is bruised, bloodied and terrified, running for her life. The plot has her being kidnapped by ghoulish, Harlequin-masked men. Remember those Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 1980s? That's the idea behind this project.

Should Ambre â€" a.k.a., Janelle â€" flee into the woods, or seek refuge in the barn? Should she defend herself with a knife â€" or a chainsaw? As the movie's website says, "She Lives. She Dies. You Choose."

We're as perplexed as you are.

On a recent MySpace blog, Ambre Lake claimed there was no Rock of Love 3 in the works. She didn't make any far fetched assumptions that her and Bret Michaels were getting married, either, though.

"We are dating and as we both discussed on the reunion show we are not disillusioned," Ambre wrote. "Don't think we're going to run off and get married.  We are dating in the 'real' world and just seeing where things will go."

Regarding the Daisy and Heather cat fight, during the show's reunion special, Ambre didn't offer any new insight:

"I know there has been a lot of animosity between the two of them and I can understand that, but I just feel it was unfortunate that it had to become physical."

In closing, Ambre said she's been venturing into various projects to further her television career. She didn't offer much detail, however.

"I have been traveling doing some appearances and auditioning like crazy for upcoming projects," she wrote.  "I will keep you guys posted on new things as they come along."

The final two desperate and pathetic women contestants on this season's Rock of Love only had one thing in common: strong feelings for Bret Michaels.

The reality series ended very differently, as well, for Daisy De La Hoya and Ambre Lake, as the former went home alone and the latter became the latest notch on Michaels' bed and dating posts. Daisy is still dealing with the affects of the outcome.

"After I came off the show, it was really hard. It took me a good two months to recover from everything," she said. "Not just Bret, but everything that happened."

But are you over the former lead singer of Poison, Daisy? Yes, Daisy replied, adding that she and Bret have opposing views of relationships.

"I don't think that Bret understood that there's not going to be any type of physical relationship with him unless we're in a relationship," she said. "That's just how I work. He's a rock star and used to having free relationships and sexual contact with girls, but I am not that girl."

Reality TV Scoop note: Write in now and let us know if you actually believe Michaels never hit that.

Anmbre, conversely, sounds completely understanding of Bret's lifestyle.

"I'm in the entertainment industry, and it's hard to date someone who isn't. I'm always on set. I'm never home. When I'm on set, I can't answer the phone," the show's winner said. "Bret has a similar lifestyle. He's always on the road. It's hard to get in touch with him. So he gets it and it's really refreshing to date someone who understands my life."

Now that Rock of Love 2 has wrapped up, winner Ambre Lake can finally speak out about dating Bret Michaels. Here are excerpts from a recent chat with VH1:

How has it been spending five months away from Bret? Do feelings change?
Absolutely not. We talked about that at great length. He told me, "Listen, we can't see each other. I'm not even supposed to call you. You need to know what you're up against." I told him that I knew what I signed up for. I'm a strong, confident woman. I'm not needy. Was it hard? Of course. But I feel like it was well worth it.

So you're every bit as in love with Bret as you were in Cancun?
Absolutely.

Did you speak with him during the time between the filming and the reunion?
He got in touch with me several times, and we saw each other. We spent time together and we talked about it, but it was good. I needed to see him. It was nice.

Where are you in your relationship now?
I'm dating Bret. I'm not disillusioned. I don't think we're going to run off and get married. We're dating and we're going to see how this dating process holds, because we were in Cancun, we were on these challenges, I was fighting for love. Now it's time to see how this works in the real world.
