Jessica Smith was a minor character as Kristin Cavallari's friend and Dieter Schmitz's girlfriend in Season 1.
However, during Season 2, her air time grew and she became a principal cast member.
During this season, Jessica briefly dated Jason Wahler, but the two broke up after she could no longer handle his wandering eyes.
Despite their breakup, Jason Wahler could not stay away from Jessica and ended up kissing her both while he was dating Alex Murrel and while he was dating Lauren Conrad.
Jessica later appeared on Season Three, dating junior Cameron Brinkman.
