Jason Mesnick came ever so close to winning the heart of DeAnna Pappas. Instead, he finished second on her season of The Bachelorette. This single father did endear himself to millions of women, however, and was considered a favorite to be an upcoming Bachelor from the get-go.
Well, he's going to get his chance in January 2009.
ABC announced that Jason Mesnick will star on the 13th season of the long-running reality show, giving this hunk a second chance at reality TV love which barely eluded him the previous time. We hope it works out this time for all involved!

Jason was the one I was hoping would be DeAnna's choice of all the bachelors; but something happened that made me suspect he would not be the chosen one. I then picked Jesse, and lo and behold, he was the one! I was so crushed for Jason, he seemed to be just the most beautiful of all the bachelors (inside and outside). I will be watching and praying that this time Jason does find his lifetime soulmate. I truely enjoyed The Bachelorette and am hoping that The Bachelor will be as entertaining next season. As for DeAnna and Jesse, God bless you and best wishes with your upcoming wedding plans, and your future together. You are both so adorable!

This show should not put us thru this again. When are you going to wise up? It is a stupid show and the people never stay together. The only one that stayed together is Ryan and Trista. I will not watch ever again.

I think Jason is a total idiot. I do believe he wanted his 15 minutes of fame, not caring who he hurts. I don't think he knows what he wants, makes you wonder why he got divorce. Melissa is better off without him. Molly shouldn't give him a chance. He dumped her and now he wants her back, what a joke. I think she's stupid for even thinking of giving him an opportunity. This show is a total joke and I will not be watching any future shows. Jason kind of makes Brad Womack look like and angel, at least he knew he did not want to continue his relationship with either of the two female contestants, but Jason wants an oppotunity with both women. I don't believe the show should have given him that opportunity, he made his choice and if it did not work out, they should have just gone their separate ways, and the show should have not been part of any of that. Molly you are in for a rude awakening when he also dumps you, again, and believe me he will. Molly should have said, no, to Jason in from of millions of people, they way he rejected her.

I was in Jason's corner up until near the end. Every time a girl would open their mouth, he was sticking his tongue down it. Then he sent Jillian home becuase they were becoming "friends" and he wanted passion? What was that in the hot tub, a mirage? Then he dumps Melissa in an ugly way and brings Molly back, like this is the first time they were seeing each other. Molly is such a bad actress. It was obvious they were seeing each other prior to that show. Then Jason tells Molly that he is attracted to her because she is like a best friend. What??? Wasn't the the reason he let Jillian go? I am confused.
Jason...you are a piece of crap. You topped them all this season. Talk about a wolf in sheeps clothing. Is there anything about you that is real? I think that you and Molly deserve each other and you will both get what you deserve. You have shown the world that you are not a man of your word, you are heartless and not to be trusted. Hmmmm, don't you deal with estate planning. Wonder how your new public image will effect sales. Bet they spiral downward. ha ha
Molly...if you think he won't cheat on you, you are sooo wrong. Shame on you for going behind Melissa's back and allowing this man to whoo you back. Are you that desperate that you would even consider taking a man who already declared you as his second choice? You are in for a rude awakening.
Melissa....you are 100% classy. Count your blessings that you are away from that man. You were so good last night on Dancing with the Stars. I hope that you go far with that. America is rooting for you.

Well, well, well. How many of have gone thru a broken relationship/engagement? Many of us did, din't we?? But, the difference is that most of us didn't have opportunity to try to do it on national TV. All of them sign up to do something as personal as this on national TV - good or bad. I don't mean to say I don't feel for Melissa. I'm sorry for what she had to go thru. But, we can't say Jason 'classless/idiot' for what he did. Also, let's not rude to Molly. It's her life and she chose to accept Jason for herself not for anybody. Leave all of them alone. They are doing fine and trying to go on with their lives. Who are we to judge them and mean to them for what they are doing with their lives?
