The Hills Recap: Drama Follows Them

On the second episode of The Hills' fourth season, Stephanie Pratt invites new BFF Lauren Conrad to her birthday party.

That sounds nice and innocent enough. Lauren immediately decides to invite Doug Reinhardt, who she’s started to date.

But drama follows peeps named Pratt. Spencer and Heidi decide to roll, too, so you know serious sh!t is about to go down.

Stephanie Pratt: Caught in the middle or just plain shady?

How did the drama play out at the club - and what, if anything, happened with the ongoing feud between Audrina and Lo?

The Hills Preview: Lauren Conrad and Doug Reinhardt Discuss Lo-Audrina Feud

A week after the Lo-Audrina feud, Lauren Conrad opens up to Doug Reinhardt about the aftermath on tonight's all-new The Hills.

"It was kind of a disaster," she tells him over lunch.

His thoughtful and insightful response: "Everything, everybody in your life is hectic... Let's go do somethin.'"

Check out this conversation between Lauren Conrad and her baseball player beau in the preview below, and be sure to tune in tonight at 10 to this MTV's hottest reality show (and lots and lots of ads).

The Hills Pay Scale

InTouch Weekly has some interesting gossip on The Hills - reportedly, the celeb news mag claims to know how much each star gets paid!

Not surprisingly, the three big guns (so to speak) bring home the most coinage. But the supporting cast is doing okay too.

  • Lauren Conrad: $75,000 per episode
  • Heidi Montag: $65,000 per episode
  • Spencer Pratt: $65,000 per episode
  • Audrina Patridge: $35,000 per episode
  • Whitney Port: $20,000 per episode
  • Brody Jenner: $10,000 per episode
  • Lauren “Lo” Bosworth: $10,000 per episode
  • Stephanie Pratt: $8,000 per episode

Spencer and Heidi: The Hills

At $65,000 per episode, doubled, times 18, Spencer and Heidi will make $2,340,000 from The Hills this fall. Excuse us while we go kill ourselves.

The Hills Season Premiere Ratings Slide

The continuing adventures of Lauren Conrad and company took a modest dip in the ratings Monday night with "We'll Never Be Friends" as the fourth season premiere of The Hills fell in the Nielsens.

The half-hour fourth season debut of MTV’s quasi-reality-soap-thing was down 9 percent in its key 12-to-34 demographic (2.1 million) and down 5 percent among total viewers (3.5 million) compared to its debut last year.

If you compare it only to the 10 p.m. episode last year, The Hills is still down, albeit slightly less than indicated above.

Tag That

Check that against the giant 40 percent ratings jump between the premieres of Season 2 and Season 3 and you have what some believe could be an overall leveling off of The Hills popularity.

The coming weeks will provide a better test, as the Olympics have been (of course) dominating everything. But peeps may just be sick of Heidi Montag (above). No idea why that would be ...

The Hills Poll: Team Audrina or Team Lo?

With last night's premiere of The Hills, roommate tension and drama between Audrina Patridge and Lauren "Lo" Bosworth escalated to new heights.

We ask you then, fans of reality TV, to choose your side!

The Hills: Season Four Scoops, Spoilers

Although they've never really left - seriously, have two days gone by without public appearances by Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and company? - The Hills returns to the air this Monday night when season four premieres on MTV.

Here's a look at the first episode:

Music group The White Tie Affair will be appearing.

"Audrina Patridge works at Epic records, where we are signed," leader singer Chris Wallace told OK! earlier this week. "She set up a little showcase for us - we're new to the label - and they filmed it, which is kinda of cool."

Over Here, Guys!

Heidi Montag and her giant, fake boobs are back for season four!

Moreover, the band isn't the only one trying to create some beautiful music in the episode. Stephanie Pratt reportedly makes a move on Sean-P, the group's guitarist and programmer. A source said "she was all over him."

Does he reciprocate? Does Lauren Conrad have a new romance this season with Kyle Howard? We'll all need to tune in and find out!

The Hills: D.C. Edition Hits a Snag

Paging Brody Jenner!

The new reality show billed as The Hills set in D.C.'s Capitol Hill is about to start filming in Washington, with just one problem:

They're a having a tough time casting dudes.

The episodes will center around bombshell Katherine Kennedy (below) and her friends' "extensive charity work."

Of course, being a Hills knockoff, it'll also involve parties, cat fights, bitch-fests, back-stabbing and a whole lot more.

Katherine Kennedy

Washington's Katherine Kennedy: Lauren Conrad 2.0?

A production company has green lit eight half-hour episodes of the show, and the casting peeps are in DC looking for cast members.

Guys are apparently in short supply, howevs.

Shooting starts in August and goes for seven weeks. As for just which network will air the show, that's still TBA.

But we know for sure it's not MTV - they've got their hands full with Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and, of course, Speidi.
