The Hills Season Premiere Ratings Down, But Still High

Lauren Conrad is soooo over Heidi Montag.

MTV viewers, however, still can't get enough!

Well, some of them are over The Hills, to be sure. The ratings for the MTV show have declined 15 percent from last season, which was down 15 percent from the season prior to that. But still, the Season Five premiere was a hit.

The Hills' premiere, "Don't Cry on Your Birthday," scored Monday's highest TV rating among females age 12-24 and 18-24, according to new reports.

The hour of The Hills, kicking off the final season for star Lauren Conrad and perhaps for the show in general, averaged a strong 3 million viewers.

That figure would make the skanks on For the Love of Ray J salivate even harder than they do when they see the former sex tape star shirtless.

Just wait until Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt stage their four-part breakup, that should draw an even greater repulsed-yet-addicted audience.

The Hills Episode Guide is Live

The fifth season of The Hills started a bang last night - most notably for Stephanie's ex-boyfriend Cameron, who got his face punched by the great Spencer Pratt.

Elsewhere, Lauren Conrad's birthday party was crashed ... by Heidi! Ever the useless instigator, Stephanie brought the unwanted Montag along. LC? Not happy.

Also featured were some heart-to-hearts with Brody Jenner, passive-aggressive comments from Lo, great outfits and massive amounts of drama all around.

The Hills Season Five Premiere Preview

It's back! The Hills are alive for Season Five!

In the clip below, from tonight's premiere, Heidi Montag and Stephanie Pratt plan a "girls night out" (really just an excuse to hang out with Lauren Conrad) and act all shady when Spencer asks where they're going.

The response of Spencer Pratt when he learns the "queen beeyotch" LC is involved in their night's plans? Not unfunny. Nnts ... nnts ... nnts ...

The Hills Season Five Cast Photo, Preview

Season 5 of The Hills, which debuts Monday, April 6 on MTV, will feature Lauren Conrad bidding farewell to the show following its latest batch of episodes.

"I actually thought last season was going to be my last," the star told EW. "[But] the producers wanted to hopefully give the show some sort of closure."

Lauren Conrad says that there isn't much drama - at least for her personally - in the final 10 episodes, since "I didn't have all that much conflict in my life over the last few months... I think I only cry in one episode."

That would certainly be a departure from what we're used to. Here's a photo of LC and the rest of the Season Five cast of The Hills ...

The Hills Season 5 Cast

The Hills cast: Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Lo Bosworth, as-yet-unknown-guy, and Stephanie Pratt!

The end of her tenure on The Hills doesn't mean budding businesswoman LC is done with TV altogether. Lauren Conrad says that she's currently in discussions to turn her upcoming young-adult book series into a TV drama.

"We've been taking a lot of meetings," she says. "I don't know exactly where I want to go, but I've looked into producing because I've always found it so interesting."

As for costar Audrina Patridge's planned new reality series, Conrad says, "To be honest, I really haven't heard that much about it. She has a pretty interesting life. She's a really cool girl. She's fun to watch."

Audrina Patridge to Leave The Hills For New Series

The stars of The Hills are dropping like flies.

The show's leading lady and reason for being, Lauren Conrad, has made it clear she is not coming back after the new season (which starts April 6) ends.

Now Audrina Patridge is saying goodbye - and looking to star in her own show. The 23-year-old has teamed with producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) for a new series that focuses on her personal and professional life.

"We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett tells The Hollywood Reporter. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."

Audrina Patridge Moves On

Audrina Patridge and Mark Burnett are pitching the still-untitled show to networks.

Lauren Conrad confirmed she will leave the MTV reality show after five seasons. Now it looks like Audrina is doing the same. Where does this leave The Hills?

More significantly, would you watch a show starring just Audrina Patridge? Or would you prefer Heidi and Spencer just take over The Hills?

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt Hit The View

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag visited the ladies of The View last week to talk about their controversial non-wedding at the end of last season of The Hills, as well as to dish about the upcoming fifth (and possible) final season.

The two insist that everything is real on The Hills, and that they will definitely be getting married eventually. Here's what else Speidi had to say ...

LC: This is The Hills' Final Season

The just-released Season 5 trailer for The Hills gave the impression that the show's producers were trying to wrap things up and bring the MTV hit full circle.

Lauren Conrad has now confirmed as much, telling Seventeen that she will be retiring from reality TV when the new season (which begins in March) ends.

“My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it’s still great,” she said. “I always want to remember it that way. I gave MTV a deadline and said, ‘This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.’”

LC, Heidi

Will the final season of The Hills mean bring peace with Heidi?

One factor that might have played into her decision? Unlike her past romances with Stephen Colletti, Brody Jenner and Jason Wahler, Lauren Conrad has kept her new relationship with actor Kyle Howard away from the MTV cameras.

The Hills had a good run. We look forward to seeing its conclusion this year ... and the inevitable Speidi spinoff that follows next season.

The Hills Season Five Trailer

MTV has released the first trailer for the fifth (and quite possibly final) season of The Hills. No premiere date has been officially announced, but it is expected back on the air shortly after The City ends its first season March 16.

From what we can gather from the clips below, it seems like a major theme of this season is bringing the show full circle - meaning Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag may finally make up, ending their bitter, ratings-driven feud.

Also, Spencer Pratt flirts with a waitress, incurs Heidi's wrath, and starts pounding the face of the dude who ratted him out. Seriously!

Peep all that and more in The Hills Season 5 trailer below ...

The Hills Season Finale Recap

Last night on The Hills, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag sort of made their wedding official. Only they really didn't, of course. Meanwhile, Lauren Conrad and former BFF Heidi sort of made up, and Justin-Bobby still looks like he doesn't shower.

All in all, it was a great season finale! Bring on Season Five!

Whitney Port, Co-Stars in The City

After four seasons of The Hills' Whitney Port is heading to The City on MTV’s spin-off series, which premieres December 29 at 10 p.m. It's totally gonna be great.

Along with her new Aussie boyfriend, Jay Lyon, the show will feature some of her girlfriends. No, sadly it doesn't look like Lauren Conrad will make a cameo.
