Episode Guide
As The Hills gets underway, Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port were sent to NYC for Men’s Fashion Week and they got assigned to the Buckler show.
First, boss Kelly Cutrone chewed them out for not having on all black, which everyone was supposed to be wearing, and then switched gears and teased Whitney about her boy Alex being one of the show’s models.
During fittings, Whitney Port did her natural flirty thing with Adam before Alex came in and stripped down to his chonies. You could sense there was trouble in paradise from the get-go when LC commented on how cute Adam was.
Adam made his move as they were lining up, inviting LC and Whitney to an afterparty at his restaurant for catered food, drinks and the easy, chill sounds of friend’s band.
There, Whitney was immediately drawn to the shaggy-haired lead singer and guitar strummer [Jay Lyon] whom Adam nicknamed The Serenader.
When Alex showed up with his friends, there wasn’t enough room for them to sit at the same table, or the same club level for that matter.
Whitney claimed she wouldn’t abandon Lauren Conrad, but it was obvious she was waiting for Jay Lyon to exit the stage. She and LC giggled and thusly declared numerous times how hot Jay was.
Jay invited her to go check out his place and convinced her out of going “to say goodbye to [Alex] really fast.” Alex’s friends broke the bad news.
Meanwhile, after being let go from Bolthouse in the last episode, Heidi Montag got up early the next morning to work on her resume.
Spencer Pratt, of course, tempted her with breakfast and hanging out.
Later, their night out smacked of a setup as they wound up at a function connected to Brent when their goal was to go out for fun to forget him.
Spencer decided to go confront Bolthouse, but Heidi begged him, “Don’t say anything please. Leave it alone.” But Spencer went and talked to Brent anyway, but Brent told him he's bad news and that was pretty much it.
Heidi tried to remedy the situation by going over on her own behalf next. But, again, Brent called it like everyone sees it. “Dude, your boyfriend’s a nightmare." Amen to that.
