The Bachelorette Recap: Guys Can't Take Heat!

On the fourth episode of The Bachelorette last night, we learned three things:

  1. DeAnna Pappas is really cute no matter what the activity is, but anything that involves a bikini or sports is a guaranteed hit
  2. This guy Graham has some kind of nerve
  3. Most dudes don't talk about feelings

In the end, three more dudes were not chosen by DeAnna Pappas after careful deliberation. Who packed their bags and who remains in the final six?

DeAnna

DeAnna's fourth episode full of dates featured a shocking two-on-one date, a lot of dudes freaking out and failing to open up about feelings, and even some chicken fights in the pool. Hey, sometimes you gotta, right?

Hot DeAnna!

DeAnna's third episode full of dates featured the first one-on-one date rejection, several moments that made us choke back tears, and a whole lot of hooting, hollering and dancing with Ellen DeGeneres. Yes, you read that right!

The Bachelorette Episode Guide is Live

On the second episode of The Bachelorette last night, we learned two things:

  1. DeAnna Pappas is beautiful, and without even trying too hard
  2. Most guys, no matter how much game they talk, can't hit a baseball

In the end, 12 men would be given roses by DeAnna Pappas and three would be sent packing. Who got the boot and who will play on?

DeAnna's second two-hour episode full of dates featured a lot of magic. Magic tricks, that is. Funny stuff. Not to mention baseball and a lot of guys jockeying for position. The Bachelorette is easily five times more entertaining than The Bachelor, in the opinion of the Scoop staff.

The Bachelorette Episode Guide: Live, Hot

On the fourth season premiere of The Bachelorette last night, DeAnna Pappas met 25 men who came from all over the U.S. just to meet her.

First, she addressed her past, when she had her heart broken by Season 11 Bachelor, Brad Womack. She then arrived to meet the man of her dreams.

Hopefully.

Will she be the next Trista Sutter, or will things end in heartbreak for DeAnna Pappas as they have for, well, every Bachelor star?

We'll see. The journey starts here in our episode guide ...

Get Ready For More DeAnna Pappas!

A new season of The Bachelorette starts Monday, starring DeAnna Pappas, the girl that Brad Womack was about to propose to on The Bachelor, but dumped on the season finale instead. He also dumped Jenni Croft.

In any case, DeAnna Pappas is about to get herself a new chance as 25 men from across the country have assembled to win her heart.

This season features a new twist - D will ask some of the men to live with her, to get to know them better. Her former Bachelor rival - you bet, Jenni Croft - will help her narrow down the group of men on the first night!

But it's not all fun and games being DeAnna Pappas. Every time a commercial airs for The Bachelorette, it begins by showing her heartache when Brad dumped her on The Bachelor.

DeAnna Pappas tries to keep it all in perspective.

"I was really confused at first. But after it was all over, said and done with, I was actually very happy that [Brad Womack] stood up for what he believed in and didn't propose to someone just because he was under pressure," Pappas said.

"I'm thankful he didn't propose to me. Everything happens for a reason and I'm where I am today because of all of that and I'm very happy for that."

A Sneak Peak at DeAnna Pappas' 25 Options

The Bachelorette premieres in less than two weeks.

The counterpart to Matt Grant, DeAnna Pappas will star the lucky woman who will be courted by 25 men.

Pappas was one of the last women standing on The Bachelor season starring Brad Womack. After he dumped Jenni Croft at the final rose ceremony, that jackass opted to dump DeAnna too. Stunning and bizarre.

Despite the heartache of losing the man she loved, DeAnna Pappas has bounced back and is ready to give love another shot... on reality TV!

A Family Photo: Trista, Ryan and Maxwell Sutter

The only happy woman to ever emerge from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette (sorry, Mary Delgado, you don't count) Trista Rehn, along with husband Ryan Sutter and son Maxwell - hit a party for the Hot Mom's Handbook in Beverly Hills.

How cute are they!?

Trista and Ryan Sutter

Trista and Ryan Sutter are the best. They seem genuinely happy. We always loved her. Hard to believe some loser actually negged Trista on The Bachelor.

Guess things work out for a reason. Hopefully, the new star of The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected by Brad Womack, will feel the same way.

DeAnna Pappas, The Bachelorette to Debut May 19

ABC unveiled its summer schedule this week, and reality TV shows are not scarce by any means. One of the most anticipated? The Bachelorette, which stars the lovely DeAnna Pappas, and kicks off Monday, May 19 at 9 p.m.

Back in February, ABC hosted a search to find a group of intelligent, good looking, charismatic, and single men for DeAnna Pappas to choose from.

In total, The Bachelorette hit 10 different states looking for different men to make up the cast, and also accepted video submissions from dudes.

Brad Womack, DeAnna Pappas

DeAnna Pappas' heart was broken by Brad Womack on a devastating season finale of The Bachelor. Millions of Americans watched as that ass clown Brad acted like he was going to propose, then got cold feet at the last instant. Ouch!!

In a special that aired afterwards, DeAnna's heartache was plain as day, but she stated that she was a strong person who would be able to move on.

Move on she has.

Hopefully, she'll find that special someone that she has been searching for when she meets 25 hot bachelors who all came on the show just to meet her. OMG!

This should be good. We're so excited to see DeAnna Pappas back on TV.

In other reality TV dating news, there's a new show coming out called The Farmer Wants a Wife. Yes, we're serious. Thank goodness for DeAnna.

Dudes Line Up to Date The Bachelorette

Or at least try! A hefty number of men got in line for a chance to find true love, or at least 15 minutes of fame, in showing up for casting calls held for The Bachelorette at Tradition Square in Port St. Lucie, Fla. on February 23.

The hopefuls filled out forms and made audition tapes explaining why they should earn a spot on the reality dating show, The Bachelorette, which is a spin-off of The Bachelor. The beautiful DeAnna Pappas will star!

Both shows follow the same format in which a man or woman is allowed the luxury of choosing a mate from a handful of suitors. Each week, the unlucky bachelor or bachelorette eliminates one candidate from the group.

For The Bachelorette's upcoming season, DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected by 11th season Bachelor star Brad Womack, is slated to frontline as the love searcher on the quest to find a husband from a pool of bachelors.

According to Mark Prutisto, director of a local ABC station that conducted the auditions, all of the tapes from this and other auditions around the country are sent to casting directors who will make the choices.

Among those who auditioned is Mike Smith, 47, from Fort Pierce, who reveals that he tried out for The Bachelorette because he has not been able to find women his age since he moved out of his native Georgia.

"I'm really not into the bar scene," Smith said. "That makes it hard to meet women unless you want to go to the Internet."

This is the second time the shows have held auditions in Port St. Lucie, and last Thursday the shows had auditions in Fort Lauderdale.

"South Florida has been great to select applicants from," Prutisto said.
