The Bachelor Episode Guide: Down to Two

The field on The Bachelor has been whittled down to just two.

After a romantic trip to Barbados with Shayne, Chelsea and Amanda, only three went to the fantasy suite - but two of them returned with roses and a chance to win Matt's heart.

How did our handsome Matt Grant make his decision?

Did Shayne Lamas survive until the finale? Who got the heave-ho?

The Bachelor Episode Guide: Hometown Hotness

The time comes on every season of The Bachelor when the guy must embark on the possibly wonderful, possibly dreadful hometown dates.

That night for Matt Grant was last night.

For the hometown dates, our English gentleman traveled across the U.S. to meet the families of Shayne Lamas, Chelsea, Noelle, and Amanda.

Matt had to deal with being grilled by family members, not being certain where his own feelings led him - and one girl who played a huge prank on him.

The Bachelor Episode Guide: Skiing For Affection

On this week's episode of The Bachelor, the fifth of this exciting 12th season of the show, Matt Grant is looking to HEAT UP the ski slopes of Idaho. YEAH BABY!

The minute they arrive, wrestling girls in the snow. Really, who can blame him? Chelsea finds out she'll be headed on her first 1-on-1 date with Matt Grant.

Matt gets a carriage to take Chelsea on a romantic ride. Right away, Chelsea tells him she hates public displays of affection and hates holding hands.

Grant, Matt

Worried that Chelsea struggled with being in a competitive situation on a reality TV show, Matt took his mind off that so-so date by taking Marshana, Shayne Lamas, Robin, and Amanda out for a day of skiing in Sun Valley.

How did our handsome Englishman make his increasingly difficult decision and pare down the field? Were Marshanna and Chelsea retained?

Did everyone's favorite gal Shayne Lamas make it? Or did she depart the way of Stacey Elza (panties girl), Carri Perrier (passive girl) or Holly Durst?

Holly Durst Speaks on Matt Grant, The Bachelor Ouster

Holly Durst found it surprising that The Bachelor: London Calling star Matt Grant took her on a do-or-die 2-on-1 date after she thought they had pretty good chemistry following a previous 1-on-1 date. But so it went.

Matt Grant's reasoning was later revealed when he didn't give her the 2-on-1 date's rose, thus eliminating the 25-year-old children's book author from Suffield, Ohio, during Monday night's fourth episode of this 12th season of The Bachelor.

Holly Durst talked recently to Reality TV World her elimination and how she thinks that playing the "safe card" ultimately cost her any chance ...

Reality TV World: ABC billed you as a children's book author on the show.  Can you talk a little bit about that? How did you get into it? Is it your full-time job? Do you write under a pen name?

Holly Durst: I started to get into children's books after I left Ohio - I moved to L.A. - and I really missed the children I used to babysit for. I looked for a book to buy them explaining why I had to leave, but couldn't find one that was what I wanted. So I thought, "You know what? I'm just going to write one myself."

Holly Durst

Holly Durst said goodbye to Matt Grant and The Bachelor Monday.

Reality TV World: Were you surprised Matt Grant chose you for the two-on-one date since he took you on a one-on-one date the previous week?

Holly Durst: Very surprised. Honestly I thought, "Maybe he just wants to spend more time with me and it's an easy way to get rid of somebody else."

Reality TV World: That leads into my next question - you seemed confident that you'd receive the two-on-one date's rose instead of Marshana. Why?

Holly Durst: I thought since him and I had spent so much time together - we had already kissed - and Marshana hadn't spent any one-on-one time with him, had not received a kiss. I thought for sure that I was staying.

Reality TV World: Do you regret feeling so confident and think you could have done more to show Matt Grant how much you cared for him?

Holly Durst: In the third episode, I got upset because I started seeing him interacting more with the girls. I hadn't seen that up until that point.  At that point, I started to put a wall up and I think I started to back away a little bit. I wasn't really into the conversations that him and I were having. It just got really hard. I was confident going into the [2-on-1 date] because I thought, "There's now way that I'm going home." But maybe I was a little overconfident.

What the Hell Was Matt Grant Thinking?!

Actually, we know what Matt Grant was thinking and agree with him 100 percent. The exits of classless Kelly and immature Ashlee were warranted.

But you gotta admit, Kelly did her absolute best to stay around on the reality show, pulling out the big guns (literally) at the last second.

A lesser Bachelor star, like Brad Womack, may have fallen victim ...

The Bachelor: Kelly

In a time-honored reality TV ploy, Kelly hopes that her breasts will save her from elimination at the hands of Matt Grant on Monday night's The Bachelor.

He seemed like he was attracted to Kelly in the first couple of episodes, but had doubts as to whether they were a good fit. She answered that question for Matt Grant on this week's episode, giving him two definitive reasons. Oooga.

Kelly's plan to impress The Bachelor star with her (admittedly nice, but probably fake) breasts backfired when, in his interview, he simply asked, "Why do that?"

Classic.

The only thing better/worse than Kelly stooping that low was (obviously) Ashlee's parting song. She seemed inconsolable after she was dumped on national TV but hey, why not at least sing inexplicably, shilling for a record deal...

Matt Grant also eliminated Holly, but at least she just had no chemistry going and left without incident. Fame-obsessed, classless Kelly and Ashlee had no intention of going so quietly as their stints on The Bachelor expired Monday night.

These two actually make Shayne Lamas look normal. Or closer to normal.

The Bachelor Episode Guide: Dancing, Tennis, Drama

On this week's episode of The Bachelor, the fourth of this exciting 12th season of the reality show, Matt is looking for a perfect match. As in tennis, people.

He also takes girls dancing. Matt Grant cannot dance. It's funny.

All told, there are nine women remaining, but only six of them will leave with roses from Matt Grant tonight. There's even a 2-on-1 date in which one will get sent home on the spot ... you can cut the tension with a knife in here.

Grant, Matt

How did our handsome and proper Englishman, Matt Grant, make his increasingly difficult decision and whittle down the field of women this week?

Did everyone's favorite gal Shayne Lamas make it? Or did she depart the way of Stacey Elza (a.k.a. spare panties girl) or more recently, Carri Perrier?

The Bachelor Episode Guide: Major Hot Tub Action

On the third episode of The Bachelor, Chris Harrison informs the girls that there will be one group date and two one-on-one dates with Matt Grant.

If a gal does not receive a rose on her one-on-one date, she will be sent home ASAP. Shayne and Holly got those one-on-one dates. The rest of the girls?

They have to go at it in a full-on rugby scrum. Yeah baby!

The drama only continued from this point on. Ultimately, it ended with roses given out to nine ladies, while three rejected babes got the heave-ho.

Carri Perrier Describes Rejection on The Bachelor

Carri Perrier is unsure why she was axed by The Bachelor star Matt Grant during last week's episode - but added it doesn't really matter if he's sincere or not.

"[Why I didn't receive a rose] is hard to tell," she said. "I hope that his intentions are true for coming on this show to find true love. We're never really certain why we're attracted or not attracted to certain people. I'm glad that if I wasn't what he's looking for that he's pursuing stronger relationships with the other girls."

The 25-year-old church marketing representative from Oklahoma City was one of three bachelorettes who failed to receive a rose from the 27-year-old international banker during last week's The Bachelor: London Calling.

Carri Perrier

While she's a self-described "optimist" who "believes in love at first sight," Carri Perrier said she didn't get much one-on-one time with Matt Grant.

"I didn't [spend a lot of one-on-one time with Matt Grant]. In fact I really didn't get any one-on-one time with him until [prior to] the Rose Ceremony when I was eliminated," she said of her short-lived stint on The Bachelor. "I don't think that was a plus or minus - I think it was just the way it happened."

Carri Perrier doesn't fault Matt Grant for the lack of attention he paid her, but thinks there might have been a stronger connection if he had.

"Looking back and obviously finding out more about him through the press releases than I really got to find out while I was there, I think we have a lot of things in common," she said. "Both coming from large families and being the baby, those kinds of things definitely would lend themselves to being able to develop a strong relationship. But in the end it comes down to spending time with that person and understanding who they are and what they have to offer. We didn't get that opportunity [together], and I don't blame him for that at all."

Andy Baldwin and Marla Maples Reportedly Dating

The former star of The Bachelor, Andy Baldwin, didn't need the hit ABC show to find his future mate. Well, none of the Bachelor stars seem to.

Since returning from a military mission in Palau, the naval doctor, 31, has been "quietly dating" Donald Trump's ex, Marla Maples, 44.

The two took a romantic getaway to the Hawaiian island of Lanai over Easter weekend, an inside source tells Us Weekly.

"On Easter morning, Andy and Marla helped kids at [the Four Seasons Hotel] search for Easter eggs and they had a great time," the source says.

They first met last year, says the source, and even spent New Year's together. Adds the insider, "He is inspired by her."

What's next, Tessa Horst dating Donald Trump?

The Bachelor Episode Guide is Live!

On the second episode of The Bachelor, the first group of women receive their intriguing "date box" and find out that they'll be heading to a runway show.

When Ashlee, Kristine, Marshana, Noelle, Michelle, Amanda, Erin H, and Holly arrive at their destination, they find out they'll be the ones modeling clothing.

You know this is gonna be good from the get-go - and the drama only continued from there. Ultimately, it ended with many roses given out to the lucky ones, whereas several Bachelorettes received only tickets punched for home!
