The Bachelor Episode Guide: Four Aspiring Trophy Wives Remain

Andy BaldwinThe 10th season of The Bachelor is heating up... heck, it's practically hotter than Kristine Lefebvre nude photos. Okay, not quite. Okay, not at all.

Still, the drama continues to mount on the reality TV hit. We've seen the departure of Alexis Young, Peyton Wright and, this week, two new bachelorettes (who got the boot to the surprise of no one).

Amber Alchalabi is still around, despite the controversy swirling regarding her hometown and school district. What three ladies will join her in the final four for next episode's hometown visits?

Once again, ESPN.com's Sports Gal (wife of ESPN's Sports Guy, Bill Simmons) has gone over the adventures of Andy Baldwin and his potential wives...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Bill Simmons] made a top-10 list of revelations you should never bring up if you're trying to win over The Bachelor.
I thought it was funny so I'm passing it along. He's enjoying this show way too much. He calls it the "I have to tell you something ... " list. In other words, I have to tell you something ...
Reality TV Fashion Police: Recent Highlights and Lowlights
When you're a low-rent reality TV star and looking to make a name for yourself... you damn well better look good. After all, no one's going to make you a trophy wife or give you a million bucks based on your brains or personality. Well, Survivor is a bit different. But whatever.
Here's a few reality TV fashion highs and lows from the past week ...
Pumkin
Pumkin (Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School)
Yes, the incorrectly spelled "Pumkin" revealed last week it was her right to fight! However, showing her back side and revealing what kind of undies she prefers? Yeah. This is a fashion don't. Keep your panties hidden, babe. Mo'Nique would surely concur.
Schatar (Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School)
Look. Ladies. If we are going to try and impress Mr. Winery himself, don't you think you should wear heels that you can actually walk in? Seriously, girl. Lose the heels, try flats. Do something. So you can walk. God.
Amber Alchalabi (The Bachelor)
One way to insure you will be getting a rose: go on a solo date, jump in a hot tub wearing a cute little bikini and shake that thang! Obviously, Andy Baldwin wants to hit that piece. Therefore, this is a fashion "do." Amber Alchalabi might not receive such a positive response from her home town, though.
Yau Da Man!
Yau Man (Survivor)
Another fashion "do," as you don't have to be Jeff Probst to know that a hat is a must-have item on the islands.
Yau Man knows how to rock that hat, which is one of the reasons for his success in Fiji. He is always cool, calm and collected on Survivor - more so than the just-departed Mookie - and there's no doubt that this stylin' and practical head accessory has something to do with it.
The Bachelor Episode Guide: Relive All the Week Four Drama
Andy BaldwinFour episodes in and it's already been a dramatic season on The Bachelor.
We've seen the departure of Alexis Young, Peyton Wright and a number of other hot bachelorettes who have spoken out since their vanquishing, and this week, a new potential scandal emerged.
The short version - the hometown and school district of Amber Alchalabi may not be keen on this gal's appearance.
But that's a topic for later. Right now, it's time to recap last night's show.
Once again, ESPN's Sports Gal has dutifully blogged the adventures of Andy Baldwin and his gaggle of would-be brides...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On Jimmy Kimmel's show last week, Andy Baldwin came off like someone who had two glasses of champagne at an office party, forgot to eat anything, then ran into his boss and tried to be outgoing and crack jokes, only to came off as a rambling, brain-damaged goofball.

Andy Baldwin Hot For Teacher; Texas School District Not

One of the reasons The Bachelor star Andy Baldwin kept Amber Alchalabi around as one of his nine remaining bachelorettes is because she loves (and works with) children and he's looking to start a family.

Amber Alchalabi

But it appears the 23-year-old fourth-grade teacher from Sugar Land, Tex., is in hot water for leaving her class when it needed her most - as well as being dishonest about why she left.

Several parents of students now in Amber Alchalabi's fourth-grade class at Colony Bend Elementary School have expressed their displeasure that the teacher misled them as to why she was taking a month off, Houston's KHOU-TV reports.

In addition to telling the principal she took a month off to "care for a sick aunt" instead of coming clean about traveling to Los Angeles to film the 10th season of The Bachelor, she also gone during a key time in her students' academic year.

"They were in the middle of studying for the [Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS)] test. While she was gone they took their writing TAKS test," fourth-grade parent Raquel Flores told KHOU.

Parent Lesley White said "kids are being exploited" so Amber Alchalabi could try to find true love on The Bachelor.

According to the news station, administrators from Fort Bend Independent School District were apparently unaware about Alchalabi's absence during TAKS testing, though the principal signed-off on her leave of absence. A substitute was brought in.

Latest Vanquished Bachelorette, Peyton Wright, Speaks Out

Not the Wright StuffA week before, it was Alexis Young.

This week, it was the bubbly Peyton Wright (right) who got sent home.

Peyton stood on the deck of the USS Midway as Mr. Hunk himself, The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman star Andy Baldwin, took off in a helicopter with another woman.

The 24-year-old Tri Delta sorority marketing coordinator's attempt to find true love through ABC's 10th season of The Bachelor had officially come to an end.

"It wasn't the most ideal situation for me to be left standing there... but it was part of the date and that's unfortunately how it ended for me," Peyton Wright.

She had accompanied fellow bachelorette Tessa Horst, a 26-year-old social worker who currently resides in San Francisco, Calif., to the Midway with Andy Baldwin for a 2-on-1 date (no, not what you're thinking) where only one of them would receive a rose to stay in the competition.

Peyton Wright did not receive that rose
.

"That whole day and whole evening was so emotional because all that was going through my head was, 'I don't know if I'm going to be here or not.' And so when [Andy Baldwin] chose Tessa - I was happy for her, I was happy for them - but at the same time you know, I put myself out there and I told him exactly how I felt and I took that risk and it didn't turn out the way I wanted to, so that was very emotional for me," Wright said.

Prior to the two-on-one date, both Peytonnnnnnn and Stephanie revealed how they became friends and were not looking forward to competing against one another for a single rose.

The Bachelor: Amazing Tessa, Crying Peyton, Stephanie Sandwich

Alexis Young and now even more would-be bachelorettes are history. Who will stand the test of time and win the treasured final rose?

Last night's antics on The Bachelor were a sight to behold... maybe even history in the making, according to ESPN's Sports Gal, who's dutifully blogging Andy Baldwin's adventures after each episode. Here's her official recap ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andy BaldwinWe made history on The Bachelor this week!
The show started with a drill sergeant waking up all the girls and dragging them outside for calisthenics and yelling. Bill thought the drill sergeant looked like Dick Bavetta on steroids - I'm not sure who he is, but OK.
I was more shocked that none of the girls was wearing makeup during an HD broadcast. They should've had a follow-up show with the girls watching this show in HD. I guarantee half would cry, two would pass out and the rest would flee to the MAC counter.
But that wasn't the history-making part.
Running through a set of tires, Bevin wrenched her ankle and ended up with a displaced fracture plus a rose from a guilty Andy. Here was the history-making part:
The other girls became jealous because Bevin got a rose and 1-on-1 time with Andy Baldwin at the hospital. Now the other ladies might maim themselves for more time with Andy. We might see Tessa throw herself down a flight of stairs within the next three shows.
Obviously, Andy Baldwin wasn't too upset because he made his first group date at the mud baths. Not a lot of highlights here except that BBBD ("Big Boobs/Bad Dresser") was in heat and kept rubbing mud on Andy as an excuse to molest him.
She's a tramp. Bill thinks there's an 80 percent chance she has a porno tape floating around out there and claims he has never Googled this to find out for sure. I don't believe him. After the mud frolicking, everyone washed up and had champagne and fruit, then Andy picked Stephanie the Gymnast/Bull Rider for a private "massage" date. Yawn.
Booted Bachelor Babe Speaks Out About Andy Baldwin, Morals
No Rose For YouAndy Baldwin respects the strong moral values of Alexis Young.
But apparently not quite enough to keep her around for another rose ceremony.
The lovely Young was one of three girls eliminated on The Bachelor last week.
"I'm not sure if [my conservative values] did [play a role in my elimination]. If it did, I'm glad because my goal in going to this show was to let him know as soon as possible what I wanted in a guy, what kind of girl I was," said Alexis Young, a 26-year-old attorney from Southlake, Tex.
"There was a lot of time I was able to speak to [Andy Baldwin] that wasn't shown... I feel like I got to know him and he got to know me... the spark's not there, it's pretty simple."
Her moral values were on full display in the second episode of the 10th season of The Bachelor when Stephanie Tipper - a 27-year-old Folly Beach, S.C., organ donor coordinator who received Andy's "first impression rose" during the premiere - appeared to subtly taunt Alexis about Alexis' virginity.
"I had not told [Stephanie T.] that. She received that information from another source. I'm not exactly sure [how she knew that information]. I have my ideas but I'm really not sure," said Alexis Young.
A Q & A With The Bachelor, Andy Baldwin
Will You Accept This Man?When the 10th season of ABC's hit reality TV series The Bachelor began last week, America met one of the hottest - and most well-rounded - contestants to date.
Both an officer and a gentleman, 30-year-old Andy Baldwin is a navy diver, a doctor, a tri-athlete, a philanthropist and a family man. Yes. A genuinely decent dude.
It's gross, but Us Weekly caught up with the newest reality TV star for an expanded interview, and you can read it below.
Us: How did you become the next bachelor?
Andy Baldwin: I didn't really try out - it sort of just came to me. One of my friends saw an ad and said I'd be great for the show. I was sitting in my office one day last fall and the phone rang. The producers called and said "We want you to be the next season of The Bachelor on ABC."
I was like "What?!?!" I was recently single and I didn't think it was going to be possible, given my military background. I was skeptical of the type of women they've had on in the past and the type of bachelors. After a bunch of emails and callbacks, I finally mustered up the courage to float the idea past my C.O. (Commanding Officer), who was totally supportive.
Us: What is it you have that perhaps the bachelors before you didn't?
Andy Baldwin: I'm not an Italian prince (like Lorenzo Borghese). I'm not an heir to a large tire company, I don't want to be an actor and I'm not a quarterback. I'm just a guy that grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania with a great family. I'm a Navy diver and doctor serving my country out in Pearl Harbor - a wonderful career I'm committed to. I just haven't met right woman yet.
Andy Baldwin: Bachelor, Officer, Gentleman
Sexy BachelorAndy Baldwin is hot.
And an officer in the U.S. Navy.
And a gentleman.
But don't worry. It doesn't go to his head.
The star of the newest season of ABC's The Bachelor (subtitled, fittingly, Officer and a Gentleman) says he's just a regular guy who knows what he wants.
"I'm just a guy that grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania with a great family," Baldwin tells Us Weekly. "I have no ulterior motives other than I just haven't met the woman who is right for me yet."
As these (somewhat insane) girls gather to giggle poolside with their bachelor, Andy Baldwin explains what he looks for in the perfect mate.
"One of the sexiest things about a woman is if she's intelligent and witty," says Lt. Baldwin, who's also (gulp) a doctor. "If she can challenge me in that a manner, she's so much more beautiful in my eyes,"
This bachelor's also looking for a match willing to have fun with fitness. Having recently participated in the Iron Man triathlon - with Bachelorette winner Ryan Sutter (now the husband of inaugural Bachelor runner-up Trista Sutter), Baldwin is very body conscious.
"I love to work out and exercise with my girlfriend," he said. "The most romantic thing I like to do is go for a run and get the blood pumping, and take a dip in the ocean and watch the sun rise."
Baldwin, who went to Duke, says Southern hospitality is something he is all about. Lucky for him, there are a bevy of Southern belles vying for the affections of The Bachelor this season.
"They must have had a good casting call in Dallas," says Baldwin, who is probably the polar opposite of his predecessor, Lorenzo Borghese. "Meeting the girls, I was like ‘You're from Texas, too?'"
