Summary
The Bachelor is an American reality TV dating game show that debuted in 2002 on ABC. The series has been renewed through spring 2007. Chris Harrison has hosted all of the show's seasons. The show airs on Mondays at 9:00 EST. The series revolves around a wealthy, hot bachelor courted by 25 women. The bachelor eventually selects one of the group to continue their romance.Review
The show begins with a series of group dates, after which the contestants are eliminated until only a handful remain. At this point the contestants begin to go out on individual dates with the bachelor, which, for those not eliminated, culminate in potentially sexy overnight dates and meetings between the bachelor and bachelorettes' families. The Bachelor then has to make... the most difficult decision of his... entire... life! The program is a roller coaster ride of emotions for both the Bachelor and the women, as the Bachelor gives a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of each person involved in this unique dating process. At the end of the show, the bachelor will have to pick one lady to be his future wife. The series has gained a cult following, even though none of the first nine seasons resulted in a lasting relationship.
