With Edgardo voted out, there are only eight survivors left and individuals move into high gear to secure places within an alliance that will assure them of making it through to the finals on Survivor.
Dreamz is concerned that he voted Mookie to go. He comes to the realization that they changed their vote last minute because they thought that Mookie might pull out the immunity idol, and that they didn't tell him. It begins to dawn on him that his position in the group is precarious.
Dreamz is described by Mookie a traitor.
Dreamz says that they all got outsmarted last night and Mookie asked why he didn't vote out Cassandra. Then Mookie comments on the fact that Dreamz voted him out. Alex asks if he has anything left.
Today's challenge will have the survivors launching balls to team members who will try to catch them with basket type catchers, similar to hai lai catchers. They will randomly draw for teams. Orange, Yao Man, Boo, Mookie, Cassandra. Yao Man is the designated launcher.
The green team is made up of Stacey, Dreamz, Earl, Alex. Stacy is the launcher. The field is muddy and the teams slip and slide as they attempt to catch the launched balls. Orange takes a quick 2 point lead but green picks up a point shortly after that. There are no rules and survivors grab at each other to hold opposing team members back.
Boo is injured by falling on his knee, and after a few minutes, medical is brought in as he explains that it is a knee injury. As he rises, you can clearly hear his knee move back into place. Boo says that they need to get back to the game and insists on playing.
Orange quickly gains another point and Orange leads 4-3. It takes five points to win. Green team takes a point and now it is tied up at 4-4. Next catch wins it. Yao Man launches but it is missed. Stacey launches the last ball and Dreamz catches it, for the win.
The green team wins a luxury basket of cleaning supplies and they are boarding a plane to enjoy spa privileges. In addition they are able to send one of the Orange team to Exile Island, which is not such a hardship at this point. Since the idol was played at the last council it has been re-hidden with new clues to it on Exile Island.
Green team sends and is then informed that they are to go directly to the plane, as filthy as they are from their mud bath during the game. At their arrival at the spa, they find themselves caked in mud so thick that they have trouble getting it all off. They are all entranced by the warm water. After a good shower, they find themselves at a luxury dinner.
Alex tries to fit in, but Stacey isn't having much to do with it. Alex compares himself to a lion backed up against the wall. Alex says that he is at a disadvantage, but he is not going down without a fight. They are clean, smell nice, and have clean clothes. The others mention that they smell like fresh fruit.
Mookie decides to check Yao Man's bag since he is off fishing and he finds the immunity idol. They replace the idol while they muse on how to use the information. Mookie and Alex decide to flush it out by confronting him at the next tribal council after getting him to lie in front of the others about not having the idol.
They intend to bring it up in front of others in a situation where the others cannot gather together to discuss it. As they walk away from their spot, they discover that Cassandra and Stacey are laying very close by and probably heard all they said. They quickly readjust their plan and decide to confront Yao Man now and they do.
They tell him and he asks how they know and they tell him that they saw it in his bag. He says that he isn't going to change any outcome because he has his voting block members. He decides that he has to tell his voting block straight out and also tells them that they went through his bag. Stacey says that her heart is hurting right now because Alex and Mookie went through his bag and his personal stuff and tried to threaten him.
The story grows that they went through everyone's things and people start to become offended that they went through personal belongings. The crowd turns on Alex and Mookie. They grin and say that at least they stirred things up. Yao Man thinks that it may turn on them if they don't win the next immunity necklace.
Boo returns from Exile Island and Jeff takes back the necklace. Today's challenge requires a strong memory and good strategy. Each person must secretly choose three squares then attempt to bomb each others squares. Two people may end up on the same square as they do not see what the others choose.
They must call out coordinates, much like Battleship and if they hit a chosen square they knock out all of the people who have chosen that square. Many squares are occupied by more than one person. The actual squares are on the ground but the players work from a board. Dreamz gets himself, Earl and Boo.
Cassandra gets Yao Man and also one of her own positions. Earl hits Alex, Mookie, and Cassandra. Dreamz and Boo and Earl take a hit. Earl, Boo, Dreamz are out. Cassandra is out. Mookie is out. Three people left, and Stacey is up. Both Alex and Yao Man have only one spot left and she has two left.
She takes a risk and calls her own space, but it is also covered by Yao Man and Alex who are now out. Stacey wins immunity from tribal council.
Before tribal council the groups begin their strategizing. Boo returns with one clue to the idol and says that it is such a simple clue that perhaps Mookie and Alex have already found the idol. If they split their vote to three three Mookie and Alex, it will come to a tie and that way one of them will leave, but their plan is that Alex will go.
At council the jury comes in and Jeff questions the survivors. Mookie is asked what he learned from the challenge. He says that one alliance was completely destroyed at tribal council. Mookie and Alex think that their time is up. Alex says that the snakes and rats came out, and Jeff expounds on that. He comments that this was snakes and rats.
Yao Man says that yes, they did go through his stuff, but it won't change his strategy. Alex says that karma has a way of coming back to you and the six others need to know that it will come back to bite them fast. He says that past actions predict the future.
The votes begin. In an unexpected move, Alex voted out Mookie, something that the others didn't think would occur as they planned their split vote.
The votes:
Alex, Alex, Mookie, Boo, Mookie, Mookie, Alex, Mookie. Mookie is voted out of the tribe. In sending them back to camp Jeff comments that it seems that there is one very strong group of six and Alex, which makes him either the odd man out or a very important member of the tribe.
Next time:
Alex goes undercover and Dreamz annoys everyone. The reward challenge becomes primal with a free for all.
Mookie's final words:
He is happy to be out, and it is unfortunate that he is out of the game, but it was a great experience and he wouldn't take anything back. He does wish that he was still in the fray, creating havoc. He doesn't mention Alex's vote against him.
