Episode Guide
On the second episode of On The Lot, the aspiring directors worked in teams of three to create a short movie. Not all of the members of each team got along very well, and several of the teams worked through the night to edit their short films.
Instead of Gary Marshall, Jon Avnet judged the short films with Brett Ratner and Carrie Fisher. Four different short films were shown, and the judges evaluated each director based on the scene that they shot.
“Random Acts Of Kindness” was directed by Hilary Graham, Carolina Zorrilla de San Martin, and Brent McCorkle. Vinny’s Vault was directed by Jessica Brillhart, Hannah Sink, and Kenny Luby. “Out Of Time” was directed by Marty Martin, Trever James, and Jeff Seibenick. “Time Out” was directed by Adam Stein, Zach Liposvsky, Sam Friedlander.
All three films had their moments, but the special effects on “Time Out” stole the show. Of the four films show, only directors Hannah Sink and Jeff Seibenick were eliminated. After all the eliminations were complete, twenty-four directors remained.
For their next task, the directors are given a script and a set and only one hour to shoot a scene.
