Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (often referred to as simply Laguna Beach) is an American reality show on MTV documenting the lives of teens living in Laguna Beach, a wealthy community located in Orange County, California.
During the process of filming the first season, the popular teen-drama The OC had just began airing on TV. To ride the OC's booming popularity, the tagline "The Real Orange County" was added to the show's moniker before airing to MTV viewers on September 28, 2004.
