Chef Ramsay challenged the aspiring chefs to prepare one appetizer and two entrees using leftovers.  The men’s (blue) team got started cooking right away, but the women’s (red) spent a lot of time talking before they began.

The mean host selected the men’s team as the winner of the competition.  For its punishment, the women’s team had to give the restaurant a spring cleaning and unload deliveries.  For their reward, the men’s team got to compete in a paintball game against Ramsay.

For dinner service, Ramsay challenged each team to come up with their own menus consisting of three appetizers, three entrees, and three desserts.  The women’s menu turned out to be more popular than the men’s menu among the diners.  Julia’s steaks turned out to be one of the most ordered items.

In the blue kitchen, Josh struggled to get the lamb out.  In the red kitchen, Bonnie forgot to turn the gas on to cook.  Lack of communication on the women’s team resulted in the men’s team finishing their dinner service first.

Ramsay said there was no winning team but said he was impressed with Julia.  Chef Ramsay asked Julia on the women’s team to come up with one name on her team to put up for elimination, and he asked the men’s team as a whole to come up with one name on their team to put up for elimination.  Julia nominated Bonnie for elimination because she struggled getting the food out.  The men’s team nominated Brad for elimination because they felt him taking the leadership reigns led them to be unsuccessful.

Brad said he should stay in Hell’s Kitchen because he thought he was remotely good at what he did.  Bonnie said she should stay in Hell’s Kitchen because she felt she had all the makings to be a great chef.  Chef Ramsay selected Brad Miller to leave Hell’s Kitchen  Chef Ramsay told Brad, “Tonight I was looking for a leader, and all you were was a cook.”  After leaving Hell’s Kitchen, Brad said:

“Rock and Josh know that I’m the better chef, and I think it was their decision to vote me off because I was the biggest competition.”
