Melissa Rycroft: Sad to See Lil Kim Go

What will Melissa Rycroft miss most about Lil Kim, who was voted off Dancing with the Stars this week?

"Everything!" she told Us Weekly after the show. "She is so sweet, and [the show] brought out a side of her for fans to see that they didn't know. I didn't know how sweet she would be. She had something genuine about her that just made me smile."

Still, the season must go on for Rycroft and the other remaining celebs on Dancing with the Stars.

Big Dancing With the Stars Surprise: Lil Kim Eliminated!

Apparently there are more rodeo fans in the country than we realized.

This group banded together to save one of its own last night, as Ty Murray remained on Dancing with the Stars despite a weak Monday evening performance.

In his place, Lil Kim (and Derek Hough) were sent packing. The rapper and former convict took the news well, at least.

"I think this is one of the greatest experiences I've ever experienced in my life," she said, while Hough couldn't praise his partner enough:

"Amazing person, amazing soul, amazing spirit - and an amazing dancer."

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Double the Dances!

Five tandems. 10 dances. One perfect score.

That sums up this week's performance show of Dancing With the Stars, as the remaining couples danced a pair of routines each. Only one was strong enough to earn a perfect score, however.

And it was delivered by someone too injured to even perform last week.

Don't look so sad, Melissa. You're perfect!

Cheryl Burke Dishes on Dancing Competition, Gilles Marini Shirtless

As Dancing with the Stars shakes and moves into the final few weeks, Cheryl Burke stands a good chance at earning yet another crystal trophy.

The professional spoke to TV Guide this week about the competitive season, along with the possibility of viewers seeing partner Gilles Marini shirtless again...

On the competition: I think this season's tough because there's no clear front-runner. It's exciting because it can be anyone's game and we're all putting in a lot of work. At the end, I think it'll really be a true victory for any of these celebrities. He and I work a lot of hours during the day, so we're trying our hardest to come out there and do the best we can.

On Marini stripping down again: I think we're going to cool it for a little bit. If we make it to the finale, then maybe we'll do it one more time. But I think it's working so far!

Chuck Wicks Eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

Sorry, Chuck Wicks. We know you were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night, but it's difficult to muster a lot of sympathy for you.

After all, you still get to go home with partner and gorgeous girlfriend Julianne Hough.

The tandem received the fewest number of viewer votes this week, despite the fact that Melissa Rycroft didn't even perform Monday night due to injury. Wicks seemed a tad bitter over that fact.

"This has been fantastic," Wicks said after his ousting. "I've had a great time. In the last three weeks we've gotten standing ovations from the crowd, and that's really what matters. It shows you how many fans Melissa has, for her to be five points down and still in this competition is incredible. So hats off to you, Melissa."

Team Tango Takes Diminished Dancing With the Stars

Despite a pair of entertaining group dance numbers, this week's performance show was waterered down a bit.

The reason? A severe lack of Melissa Rycroft, who was forced to sit out Dancing With the Stars with a rib injury. Reportedly, the former Bachelor contestant - and our enthusiasm - will return next week.

Gilles and Cheryl

Read a complete recap of how the show went on without her, while taking a look at the combined scores from last night (individual plus group) below:

  • Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke: 27 out of 30 for the Lindy Hop. 55 out of 60 total.
  • Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough: 28 out of 30 for the Paso Doble. 56 out of 60 total.
  • Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough 26 out of 30 for the Cha-Cha. 51 out of 60 total.
  • Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas: 27 out of 30 for the Samba. 52 out of 60 total.
  • Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani: 21 out of 30 for the Jive (based on the couple's taped rehearsal). 46 out of 60 total.
  • Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower: 24 out of 30 for the Salsa. 52 out of 60 total.

Might Mike Tyson Go Dancing With the Stars?

Athletes have always fared well on Dancing With the Stars.

But we're not sure if this success would translate to overweight, former athletes with a history of rape and eat biting.

In a recent interview with MTV, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson says his girlfriend wants him to try out for the show.

"She got me watching Dancing With the Stars and said, 'You should be on Dancing With the Stars,'" Tyson said, adding that his reply was: "Are you sick?"

Well, Iron Mike, she is dating a convicted rapist.

Tyson added that his live-in girlfriend also pitched him on a reality series about his life.

"She said, 'Hon, listen. I know some people, and I think it would be a good idea if you're a producer and you control everything that happened and you have your own reality show,'" Tyson said, adding that his reply was: "Are you crazy?"

Again, see our point about dating a convicted rapist.

Dancing With the Stars: And Then There Were Six...

Six couples remain on one of the closest seasons of Dancing With the Stars in years.

While Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke have sat atop the leaderboard for most of the season, Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, along with Lil Kim and Derek Hough, are making a late surge.

The show will crown a new champion in a few weeks. In the meantime, click on the following photos from each tandem's most recent performances below. Which is your favorite?

Lawrence Taylor Voted Off Dancing With the Stars

Lawrence Taylor was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars this week.

But the NFL great took the news well.

“He can’t wait to get back onto the golf course,” said partner Edyta Sliwinska.

The former New York Giants linebacker said he enjoyed numerous fond moments and made friendships he’ll take with him.

“I’ve done a lot of different things in my life and this is something I’m going to remember for the rest of my life,” Taylor said after the show. “I had a great partner and the experience was something that was enjoyable.”

New Leaders Emerge on Dancing With the Stars

It was a competitive, entertaining night on Dancing With the Stars.

While the couples came together for a group dance with a 1960s theme, one tandem stood out from the rest during the actual performances.

Indeed, Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani have now earned the most points this season, following an impressive 29-point routine.
