On the second episode of Big Brother 8, Reality TV Magazine reported that conflict erupted in the house. Dick tried to console his daughter Daniele who was upset to find out that he was in the house, but Daniel wasn’t ready to make nice and give him a hug yet. Joe began campaigning almost immediately to get his ex Dustin voted out of the house.
Kail opened up the HOH room to find pictures of her family. Jen became upset and started crying because she didn’t like the picture of her that was hung on the wall in the Big Brother house. In the HOH room, Mike told Kail that he wanted to form an alliance with her. Zach came up to the HOH room and agreed to join the alliance as well. Kail also went and recruited Nick to join the alliance as well.
For the food competition, the houseguests divided into a blue team and a red team. The challenge was called “Butter Me Up” and involved the houseguests using their bodies to transfer butter into a popcorn box. The blue team collected 37 pounds of butter, while the red team collected 77 pounds of butter. The red team won the competition and got regular food for the week as their reward. For their punishment, the blue team was placed on Big Brother slop.
Dick tried to talk to his daughter Daniele, and at first she ignored him, but then she gave him advice that he was coming on too strong to the other houseguests. For the America’s Player choice, America gets to vote who in the house Eric should pour his heart out to. At the nomination ceremony, Kail nominated Amber and Carol for eviction. Kail said that she based her eviction nominees on work performance, and it just happened that Amber and Carol were the first ones out in the HOH competition.
