Frank the Entertainer... in a Basement Affair: Coming to VH1!

Forget Ray j.

Move aside, Daisy De La Hoya.

VH1 has found its next dating show star, and he's the most random one yet: former I Love New York 2/I Love Money/I Love Money 2 star Frank the Entertainer (Frank Maresca) will anchor Frank the Entertainer… in a Basement Affair, a title even more ridiculous than the show's concept.

Here's how VH1 sums it up in a press release:

Fifteen beautiful women traveled to New York for Frank, only to find out that they won’t be living in the elaborate mansion they expected – they will be living in Frank’s parents’ house! Outspoken Mom Susan and Dad Gary are so desperate to have 32-year-old Frank move out of their basement that they have decided to make finding Frank love a family affair.

The girls will have to compete for Frank’s love, and follow Mom and Dad’s house rules if they want to stay in the house. Each week at elimination, Frank will give the ladies keys to his basement, and those locked out will have to pack up, and move out.

The show premieres on January 3.

Basketball Wives: Coming to VH1!

One of the NBA's taglines states: Where Caring Happens.

We can only imagine, therefore, what the tagline for VH1's recently-announced show will be. Basketball Wives: Where Contrived Nonsense Involving the Pampered Squeezes of Professional Athletes Happen, perhaps.

Indeed, on March 15, 2010, the network will debut a show that centers on the current and former wives of professional players such as Shaquille O’Neal, Eric Williams, Antoine Walker, Jermaine O’Neal and Udonis Haslem.

Shaq's wife, Shaunie O'Neal, is pictured below and will serve as executive producer on the program. She said:

“Having been around these remarkable women for several years, I have always recognized that behind every NBA star is a strong, exceptional woman, one who must deal with the unique challenges of being married to the game as well as the player.  I am happy to be teaming with Shed Media and VH1 in bringing this entertaining and enlightening world to television."

Fantasia for Real: Coming in January!

Are you as sick as we've been of seeing Fantasia Barrino living a fake life?

If so, VH1 is your destination on January 11. On that date, the network premieres Fantasia for Real.

The eight-episode series will chronicle the life of this former American Idol champion, who has clearly fallen on desperate times if she can only make money via reality TV as opposed to album sales.

“Fantasia has engaged millions of fans not only through her music and her amazing talent but also by her incredible fairytale life story,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Production, VH1.

“Our audience helped Fantasia become an American Idol and now, with this series, they get a backstage pass into her real life as she confronts obstacles to realize her true potential as an artist, a mother, a daughter and a sister.”

Tiger Woods Voicemail to Jaimee Grubbs: Revealed!

Jaimee Grubbs tried to get famous via reality television.

She was a contestant on VH1's hilarious series, Tool Academy, but that never made Grubbs a household name.

Fortunately for her - but unfortunately for golf fans everywhere - Jaimee is now as famous as any reality TV participant in recent memory, due to her recently-exposed affair with Tiger Woods.

Doubts that she bedded the athletic icon were erased this week when Grubbs released a voicemail Tiger left on her cell phone. It's posted below and is self-explanatory:

“Hey, it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.”

Bye to Tiger's reputation as a stand-up guy, as well.

Jaimee Grubbs: Former Tool Academy Star... and Tiger Woods Mistress?

Jaimee Grubbs recently appeared on VH1's Tool Academy, as she aimed to straighten out her annoying boyfriend Shawn.

But that's not why the former reality star is currently in the news.

According to a story in Us Weekly, Grubbs claims she's been sleeping with golfer Tiger Woods for 31 months! She claims the pair met in 2007, have engaged in 20 sexual encounters since - and she has the text messages to prove it!

Jaimee Grubbs is a 22-year old cocktail waitress that hails from California and says she met Tiger in Las Vegas.

Could she be telling the truth about having Woods' driver stuck up her hole a few times? Yes. Might she also be following the lead of Rachel Uchitel and just trying to make money off Tiger's new, sleazy image? Definitely.

Either way, she should be on the lookout for Elin Nordegren.

Vicki Gunvalson Opens Up About Abusive Marriage

Vicki Gunvalson is a cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

To viewers, she's a businesswoman, a loyal wife and an energetic presence on the show. But she tells the latest issue of Life & Style that life was always this easy and enjoyable.

Prior to marrying Donn Gunvalson, Vicki was the victim of an abusive relationship. She married first husband Michael J. Wolfsmith at the age of 21; and was pregnant with her second child by the time she turned 23.

"[Michael] was an alcoholic. He abused me verbally. He had many affairs during our marriage," Vicki tells the magazine.

Vicki divorced her first mate when she was 29; but the six years she spent with him were Hell, she says.

"[They] were filled with screaming. I had to be his mother. I'd throw cold water on him to wake him up for work. It was a very hard life."

Michael was contacted by Life & Style and admitted to problems with alcohol; but he says he never abused nor cheated on Vicki.

Donny Osmond Named Dancing with the Stars Winner

The ninth season of Dancing with the Stars was a complete bore, but at least viewers could take comfort in one fact:

Mya would be named a deserving champion, as the singer was as impressive as any contestant in recent memory.

But fans had a major brain fart last night instead, somehow voting for Donny Osmond as the show's champion. The annoying, overly ecstatic crooner said afterwards:

"I'm so happy. I'm so happy. I'm so happy right now! I'm on cloud nine!"

DWTS Winner

Said a disappointed Mya after the competition concluded:

"There's so much. There's disappointment, dedication, passion and commitment... I've learned multiple amount of things. It's an experience that you'll never forget for the rest of your life and that you want to share with others."

For shame, America. For shame.

Nooooo! Gretchen Rossi to Enter Music Business

Apparently, Kim Zolciak's singing career isn't embarrassing enough for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Speaking to E! news at the American Music Awards Sunday, Gretchen Rossi said: "I'm actually getting involved in the music industry."

She, unfortunately, seemed serious, adding that she and music producer Bryan Todd are collaborating.

"We're going to work together on some music stuff," said Todd, who has collaborated with Ashley Tisdale and Jordin Sparks.

OC Housewife

In less depressing news, Rossi said she's a big fan of Alexis Bellino, Orange County's new Housewife.

"We've become really good friends," she said. "I like her a lot... She's cool people."

Dancing with the Stars Finale Results: Mya on Top

Mya earned two perfect scores on last night's Dancing with the Stars finale.

Tonight, meanwhile, she's destined to earn one crystal ball trophy.

It would take a seismic upset, one not seen since Villanova defeated Georgetown in the 1985 NCAA Tournament, for Kelly or Donny to overtake Mya when the results are announced in a few hours.

Awaiting Scores

The final leaderboard (below) from last night might look close, but anyone that's watched season nine in-depth is well aware that Mya was the only consistently strong performer. She'll make a deserving champion.

  • Mya & Dmitry: 87
  • Donny & Kym: 85
  • Kelly & Louis: 76

Jeff Barry Dishes on Messy Divorce from Alexis Bellino

These days, Alexis Bellino stars on The Real Housewives of Orange County and is married with three kids.

But things weren't always this great for the reality TV star.

Jeff Barry, Bellino's first husband, opened up to Star magazine this week about his messy divorce from Alexis, which took place in 2003, just 15 months after the couple were married.

“We had been college sweethearts in Missouri,” Barry said. “I never dreamt back then that things between us could turn so ugly.”

Barry says Bellino cheated on him and that she "can be an extremely mean, irrational drunk."

In response, Alexis claims Jeff of conducting “a terrifying computer invasion,” of her email account, threatening her and taking $10,000 from their joint savings account.

These two make Jon and Kate Gosselin seem like best friends. Sort of.
