Dancing With the Stars Sends Celebrities Home, Honors Patrick Swayze

On the first results show of its ninth season, Dancing with the Stars sent a pair of celebrities home.

Sorry, Macy Gray and Ashley Hamilton.

But the major news from this week focused on the show's tribute to Patrick Swayze. A first season mentor, the actor passed away from pancreatic cancer last week.

Dancing With the Stars did right by his memory, gathering a slew of professionals to recreate a few of Swayze's most memorable on-screen moves. Watch the video below:

Kim Zolciak: A Former Stripper?

NeNe Leakes has no shame about her past as a stripper. Hey, she needed money. If desperate men wanted to give her case for seeing her boobs, good for them!

NeNe's co-star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim Zolciak, doesn't feel the same way, however.

New allegations claim that Kim also spent a few months as a stripper, as sources tell Fox News she worked under the moniker "Barbi" at Atlanta establishment The Cheetah Club.

"She didn’t do it for long, but was very popular among the crowd," said the insider.

A rep for Zolciak confirms hie client spent time at the club, but only "as a cocktail waitress." Kim, meanwhile, says she knows who is spreading this lie:

"I've never stripped. [My former rep] is a loose cannon spreading lies. I am not affiliated with him whatsoever."

Kara DioGuardi: Fully Behind Ellen DeGeneres!

As a post-Emmy Award party this week, Kara DioGuardi made it very clear: she's completely behind the selection of Ellen DeGeneres as a judge on American Idol.

"I think it's a genius decision," DioGuardi said. "I wish I had thought of it."

Kara added:

"I know a little bit about Ellen from watching her show and I would say she would probably be somebody who would be fair in her criticism and will try to be as supportive as she possibly could... I was on her show once and she's lovely, generous, very kind. I think it's going to be great."

Do you agree? Or do you wish American Idol had chosen someone else?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Pose for Strange Photos

During a recent photo shoot for Derek Blanks, The Real Housewives of Atlanta chose unusual poses for themselves.

Directed by co-star NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss - whose friends were involved in a drunk-driving accident - wanted to send a message. She did so (we guess) by posing as an intoxicated clubber that got behind the wheel... and ran into someone.

Hey, if this prevents one drunk-driving incident, we'd be shocked. And thrilled.

Take a look at Kandi, NeNe and Kim Zolciak below:

Jeff Probst Previews Survivor: Samoa

Says host Jeff Probst of season 19 - yes, 19! - of Survivor, which will emanate from Samoa:

“[It’s] a return to the kind of Survivor that I certainly enjoy doing, which is beach-based. It's nice to take a detour and go to Africa and Brazil and do something different, but [being on the water] always feels like we're home.”

In an interview with TV Guide Magazine, the top host in the business previewed the season ahead. Here's a look at what he had to say:

On the customs of Samoa: We're going to incorporate the idea of “chiefs” on each tribe because that is something that is a big part of the Samoan culture. We're going to force [the tribe members] right off the bat to choose a leader for their tribe and that leader's going to have to make decisions throughout the game.

Probst Picture

On changes to the season: We're gonna have a “do it yourself” challenge where I don't show up and they arrive and there's just a box sitting there. Watching what they think it means and how they decide and when to investigate it and what happens afterwards is pretty interesting.

On villain Russell Hantz: [He is] gonna go down as one of the most notorious villains we've ever had. And that is saying something considering we've been on 19 seasons and 300 and some people have played the game. He, from the get-go, says, “I'm gonna lie, cheat and steal.” I think deep down he's a fairly evil dude.

He's got an awfully charming way about him and he's so up front and honest about his intentions that I found myself thinking, “I think I would align with this guy in spite of the fact he just told me he's going to lie to me.”

Kevin Skinner Has the Most Talent in America

An unemployed chicken farmer from Kentucky conquered the competition this season on America's Got Talent.

Kevin Skinner won the latest edition of the NBC talent competition last night, earning a $1 million grand prize and a headlining slot in a Las Vegas show next month.

Kevin Skinner

Skinner defeated Barbara Padilla, an opera singer from Houston, and eight other finalists on the finale. Said an emotional Skinner:

"I've always loved to perform. I want to go out there, and give 'em the best show I can."

The country singer is set headline an America's Got Talent show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, hosted by Jerry Springer, in October.
