Four Semifinalists Cut from American Idol

Phew.

While we disagreed with pretty much all four of the cuts made this week on American Idol, at least our early favorites - Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox and Andrew Garcia - were safe.

The same can't be said for the following contestants, all of whom lasted just one week into the semifinalis:

  1. Tyler Grady (pictured)
  2. Joe Munoz
  3. Ashley Rodriguez
  4. Janell Wheeler

Did you agree with these selections?

Goodbye, Tyler

Casey James is Hot... and Talented!

After hearing for days how a woman would win this season of American Idol, the men got a chance to perform live last night and prove Simon Cowell wrong.

Most of them failed.

With the exception of Casey James and Andrew Garcia, no male really stood out. And even these two crooners didn't bring their A-games... not that the judges even noticed for James. They were too busy cracking jokes about Kara's crush on him.

It was funny for a second, and then it was grating and inappropriate. Watch his rendition of Bryan Adams' "Heaven" below:

Crystal Bowersox Stands Out on American Idol

On a night where no female semifinalist stole the show, Crystal Bowersox stood out for one reason:

She played the harmonica!

Will it take more than this to become the next American Idol? Of course. But considering there are a bunch of similar-sounding females that play the guitar (Didi Benami, Lilly Scott, Janell Wheeler), this trait at least helps Crystal stand out.

Watch her audition below:

Lacey Schwimmer and Jonathan Roberts: Not Returning to Dancing With the Stars

There's been a slight shake-up at Dancing With the Stars.

When the show returns for its new season on March 22, neither Lacey Schwimmer nor Jonathan Roberts will take to the floor.

Over the past few days, each has Tweeted that he/she won't appear on the new season, though Roberts won't rule out the occasional result-night numbers.

Schwimmer (pictured) has been with the show since 2008. She previously partnered with Lance Bass, Steve-O and Mark Dacascos. Will you miss her or Roberts on Dancing with the Stars?

Jill and Bethenny Drama: Ahead on The Real Housewives of New York City

We hope you're sitting down for this news:

When The Real Housewives of New York City premieres on March 4, the third season of this Bravo series will feature more drama than ever between Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel.

"This is the angriest season yet," Jill told Life & Style last week. "There's a lot of hurt, a lot of pain."

Zarin vs. Frankel

What will these fights stem from, aside from the carefully-constructed script?

Zarin is angry that her former friend wasn't there for her when husband Bobby was diagnosed with cancer last year.

"It was a difficult time for me and my family, and the loss of Bethenny's friendship tore me apart," said Jill.

Does Frankel care? Of course not. Why would you think about someone else's feelings when things in your life are going well?

"I don't have any hard feelings about anybody," Bethenny said. "I'm too happy. I have too much to be happy about to worry about what's going on with other people."
