Kris Allen Wants Respect

Fresh off a surprising American Idol victory, Kris Allen isn't asking for much.

"The only thing that I really want to do is just be respected in the music industry," the singer told reporters in a conference call last week. "And whether that means selling albums or winning Grammys or people just liking your music, that's what I really want to do."

Singing Heartless

As for the future, Kris and wife Katy know nothing will ever be the same. But that's a good thing, assuming they keep it all in perspective.

"Things are definitely going to change, but we're really strong and she's really cool so we don't have any question that everything's going to be fine," he said.

The Hills Preview: Be the Bigger Person!

Tonight on The Hills, the preparations are in full swing for Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag's wedding. But Heidi is still hung up on the subject of Lauren Conrad and whether she will attend. In other words, LC does not want to.

Heidi Montag asks Spencer Pratt if he will be the bigger person and apologize to Lauren, thus ending their feud and clearing the way for her to attend.

His response, simply, is that he is not the bigger person.

Hey, at least he's honest. You have to give him that.

A New Cast for The Real Housewives of New York City?

We hope you aren't too attached to these Real Housewives of New York City.

According to Bravo officials, there could changes in the cast next season, depending on how negotiations go with the current crop: Bethenny Frankel, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, "Countess" LuAnn de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin.

"The show is like a baseball team," an insider told The New York Post. "No one is irreplacable."

Reportedly, the Housewives received a huge raise last season, about $50,000 per episode, up from a measly $5,000 each. Yes, these rich and spoiled women are paid to be made famous on TV.

But if talks fail trough with anyone in the cast, the network plans to be ready with a new Housewife.

"We are always looking for new and interesting characters," a Bravo spokeswoman said.

Teresa Giudice: Pregnant!

What's in that Garden State water?

First, Jacqueline Laurita announced that she's expecting her third child this summer.

Now, Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Teresa Giudice has also confirmed that she's pregnant. The reality star is five-and-a-half months along.

Giudice, who already has three daughters, is unsure about the gender of her impending baby.

According to Bravo, she “wants to keep it a secret until she delivers.”

Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon: The Real Housewives of... Dancing?!?

Here's a way for Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon to settle their feud?

A dance-off!

In separate interviews with E! News, each member of The Real Housewives of New York City said she'd be up for a spot on Dancing with the Stars.

"Iit looks like a good challenge, so yes - yes, I would definitely do it," Frankel said.

It's unclear whether or not Bensimon was directly responding to her rival, but she replied to the question of DWTS participation with:

"I love to dance and I think it would be so amazing. It's out of the box for me, but I think it would be really fun."

Enough cat fighting, ladies. To the dance floor!

Kris Allen: American Idol Champion!

"Adam deserves this. I'm sorry."

- Kris Allen, upon being announced the winner of American Idol.

As nice - and, clearly, classy - as Allen has proven to be this season, we couldn't agree more with his sentiment.

When people look back on season eight, Adam Lambert is the first name that will come to mind. Truly unique and entertaining, Lambert created something special every time he took the stage.

Still, let's give Allen some credit. His renditions of "Heartless" and "Ain't No Sunshine" were creative and memorable. (And it's not like Lambert won't land a lucrative record deal by, say, tomorrow.).

So congraulations to both contestants. It's like we have two winners!

Shawn Johnson Speaks on Dancing With the Stars Victory

Shawn Johnson won Dancing With the Stars last night.

The Olympic gymnast and professional dance partner Mark Ballas overcame fellow finalists Gilles Marini and Melissa Rycroft on the season eight finale.

Champions!

In an interview with Us Weekly, the young athlete still can't believe her good fortune.

"I've learned I can be more than just a gymnast! I've really grown as a person. This has really changed my life. This whole thing has been the time of my life - just an amazing experience."

American Idol: The Final Showdown

Regular readers of Reality TV Scoop now how strongly we've supported Adam Lambert this season on American Idol.

Heck, earlier this week, we said the final matchup between him and Kris Allen would be akin to a Mike Tyson knockout.

To Allen's credit, however, he didn't go down last night without a fight. In fact, we were nervous that the underdog would pull out a victory, following a great opening rendition of "Ain't No Sunshine."

Following the final two performances of each contestant, however, the contrast became clear: Kris can sing, but Lambert is a rare talent. He even managed to the cheesy, Kara DioGuard-penned winner's single, "No Boundaries," into a memorable tune.

In the end, Lambert won the title (we hope) last night, more than Allen lost it.
