Maksim Chmerkovskiy Actually Likes Denise Richards

Denise Richards stars in one of the most pathetic reality shows in television history, Denise Richards: It's Complicated.

However, Maksim Chmerkovskiy - her partner on season eight of Dancing with the Stars - says the actress herself is very simple.

“She is so kind,” the studly dancer told People. "I am not a morning person - our rehearsals are early for me, at 9 a.m. Denise brings me a fresh cup of coffee to practice every day. Sometimes she’ll make a nice sandwich for me and bring it from home."

Opening Night Performance

Chmerkovskiy also claims Richards is focused on the task at hand.

“Denise is so dedicated to this show,” he said. “I don’t see any difference between how hard she works compared to working with [past partners] Misty [May-Treanor] and Laila [Ali]."

We admit, the actress does work hard... at exploiting her children every chance she gets!

Melissa Rycroft: New Boyfriend, New Reality Show

It's been a good week for Melissa Rycroft.

On Monday night, she earned raves from the judges - along with 23 combined points - for her initial performance on Dancing with the Stars.

Days later, the scored Bachelor suitor is an Us Weekly cover girl, speaking happily about the new man in her life. Rycroft says she is dating an insurance agent named Ty.

"We've been really good friends, but the timing was never right," she told the tabloid. "With all this going on, he's my support system. It's funny how things happen."

Cheryl Burke Offers Up Gilles Marini... Nude!

Cheryl Burke has already won Dancing with the Stars twice.

Her and partner Gilles Marini stand atop the leaderboard after the premiere of season eight.

Still, the professional isn't satisfied. She's offering fans that vote for her and the French actor an incentive.

“Every week we advance, he will lose one piece of clothing,” Burke told People. “He’s the naked guy from the Sex and the City movie, and people know he has a great body. So he can pull it off.”

Bump and Grind

How does Marini feel about this?

“I will do whatever it takes,” he said. “Cheryl is the boss.”

Pssst, Chuck Wicks: if you make the same deal for Julianne Hough, we'll make sure you win!

American Idol: One Change, Two Eliminations

American Idol announced a significant change to its elimination rules last night.

But it wasn't enough to save Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez.

These contestants received the lowest number of viewers votes, following less-than-impressive Michael Jackson renditions on Tuesday night. However, in a twist deemed the "judges' save," Ryan Seacrest stated that the panel would receive one opportunity this season to overturn the viewers and keep a singer around.

This meant that Murry and Nunez each auditioned again for the panel... only to be told by the judges that it was, indeed, time to go home.

Murray and Nunez

Did the viewers, and then the judges, make the right call in elimination Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray?

"The whole point of this competition is America votes for who they want to save," Simon Cowell said. "If someone happens to be at the bottom, and we think they deserve another chance, we're going to give them another chance."

That wasn't the case last night, though. Sorry, Jorge and Jasmine.

Dumping Trista: An Interview with the Original Bachelor

Long before Jason Mesnick, Alex Michel was the star of the first season of The Bachelor on ABC, making him one of America’s first reality TV stars.

Alex proposed to Amanda Marsh in the Bachelor finale, selecting her over Trista Rehn, who in turn found love as the first star of The Bachelorette.

Here's an interview with Alex that gives us a little insight into what Jason was thinking in debating between Molly Malaney and Melissa Rycroft:

Adam Lambert Rules the Night on American Idol

Last night was Michael Jackson night on American Idol. Each singer auditioned with a hit by the King of Pop.

In actuality, though, it was Adam Lambert night.

The theatrical performer caused Paula Abdul to cry - and Simon Cowell to label him as being in a league by himself - following an incredible rendition of "Black and White." The crowd gave him a prolonged standing ovation.

Also impressive, and a lock for next week: Danny Gokey and Lil Rounds.

Sadly, previous fan favorites such as Anoop Desai and Jorge Nunez were let-downs last night, failing to impress with their versions of "Beat It" and "Never Can Say Goodbye," respectively. We're afraid one of them might be sent home tonight.

Dancing With the Stars Photos, Quotes from Season Premiere

Lil Kim and Derek Hough kicked off season eight of Dancing with the Stars last night, as the rapper dedicated her performance to former fellow inmates at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.

After her performance, Kim told People: “Yeah, my first dance was to my girls at FDC. They are representin.’ I know they are,” she said. “We watched the show and I know they’ll be happy to hear that that’s where I first watched [Dancing with the Stars].

Here are some other reactions contestants had, following a highly-rated eighth season premiere:

Gilles Marini: “I felt so good. I am going to the doctor on Wednesday. But tonight, it felt really good to get that first dance out of the way.”

Belinda Carlisle [on being compared to Julie Andrews and Cloris Leachman]: “I love Cloris Leachman and Julie Andrews, too. So for me, it was a double compliment.”

Steve-O
: “I heard we got a standing ovation and I didnt even know."
