Audrina Patridge to Leave The Hills For New Series

The stars of The Hills are dropping like flies.

The show's leading lady and reason for being, Lauren Conrad, has made it clear she is not coming back after the new season (which starts April 6) ends.

Now Audrina Patridge is saying goodbye - and looking to star in her own show. The 23-year-old has teamed with producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) for a new series that focuses on her personal and professional life.

"We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett tells The Hollywood Reporter. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."

Audrina Patridge Moves On

Audrina Patridge and Mark Burnett are pitching the still-untitled show to networks.

Lauren Conrad confirmed she will leave the MTV reality show after five seasons. Now it looks like Audrina is doing the same. Where does this leave The Hills?

More significantly, would you watch a show starring just Audrina Patridge? Or would you prefer Heidi and Spencer just take over The Hills?

American Idol Country Night: Surprise Hits and Misses

Last night was country night on American Idol. Each singer sang a hit from Nashville legends young and old (there was Johnny Cash as well as Carrie Underwood).

A surprising performance by Anoop Desai (below) may have been the night's biggest hit, while performers such as Adam Lambert and Matt Giraud were steady.

Megan Joy Corkrey also turned in a decent effort after tanking, as Anoop, on her previous Michael Jackson cover. Good for these underdogs for bouncing back.

Danny Gokey and Lil Rounds also held their own, despite not feeling comfortable in the genre, while Michael Sarver and Scott McIntyre may be done for.

Who do you think should go home on American Idol tonight?

Dancing with the Stars Results: Week Two

Monday night on Dancing with the Stars, Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson established themselves as probably the trio to beat this season.

Last night? The bottom feeders fought for survival - and for the first time, the bottom two couples got to dance for their lives and improve their scores.

With only two couples in the bottom two, that means either Steve-O, Steve Wozniak or Belinda Carlisle was safe and didn't even have to participate!

Who had to dance to stave off elimination, and who succeeded in securing the chance to dance another week while someone backed his or her bags?

The City Season Finale: Whitney Dumps Jay!

Last night on The City, Whitney Port was reeling from her breakup with Jay Lyon and being treated like crap by that b!tch Olivia Palermo at work.

But a phone call with the awesome Lauren Conrad and a little pep talk from Diane Von Furstenberg herself helped our girl through her dark day.

In the end, Jay came around and wanted another shot, but Whitney Port was having none of it, having been treated like dirt so many times. Eventually she found the strength to walk away from him and back to DVF - and the future.

In the process, Whit further endeared herself to the masses.

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Week Two

Last night on Dancing with the Stars, the injury bug reared its ugly head yet again as Steve-O was sidelined after hurting his back, Steve Wozniak had to wear a leg brace and Gilles Marini experienced some shoulder discomfort.

Nevertheless, there were some terrific performances throughout the evening, with Gilles coming up big despite the pain and Melissa Rycroft turning heads again.

Who else earned a high score? Who improved from last week? Who's in danger of getting booted off the show when the first elimination episode airs tonight?

Read through our detailed Dancing with the Stars recap now for the highlights of each performance, as well as each judge's comments and scorecards.

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt Hit The View

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag visited the ladies of The View last week to talk about their controversial non-wedding at the end of last season of The Hills, as well as to dish about the upcoming fifth (and possible) final season.

The two insist that everything is real on The Hills, and that they will definitely be getting married eventually. Here's what else Speidi had to say ...

America's Next Top Melee: Three Arrested, Six Injured

Three people were arrested and at least six others suffered minor injuries during a bit of mayhem at a Saturday afternoon casting call for America's Next Top Model. Unfortunately, Tyra Banks was not among those hauled off.

Though the exact cause of the fracas has yet to be determined, witnesses blame a general lack of organization at the Season 13 tryout, as well as a panic that erupted when someone screamed that a smoking car was about to explode.

Thousands gathered - some arriving on Friday night - to put in their bid for the first ANTM cycle to admit women 5-foot-7 and shorter.

"People were pushing, screaming, yelling at each other," one America's Next Top Model hopeful told the New York Times. "It was chaos."

Among the scores who were pushed down, two were taken to the hospital with minor injures, while four other injured parties refused medical attention.

Police ultimately shut down the casting call, and arrested two women and one man on charges of disorderly conduct and inciting to riot.

The CW told the New York Times it was "working and cooperating with local authorities" to look into what went wrong on the set.

Producer-host Tyra Banks has yet to comment on the melee.

Sheena Stewart Defends Jason Mesnick

Remember Sheena Stewart?

If so, you may need to get a hobby. But as the editors of this site, we're not ones to criticize. Anyway, she was rejected by Brad Womack on Season 11 of The Bachelor and is now defending embattled star Jason Mesnick.

While many are annoyed at The Bachelor star for his public spurning of Melissa Rycroft and subsequent embracing of Molly Malaney on the recent "After the Final Rose," Stewart is one of the few to defend his change of heart.

This may come as a surprise to many Bachelor fans given that Stewart already got her dose of reality TV agony from that jackass Brad Womack.

She even admitted that her heart felt like “it got ripped in half” after he eliminated her from the competition (as he later did the other girls, too).

On the other hand, Stewart has an idea of what Jason Mesnick is going through “because she knows reality TV makes people do strange things.”

"I give him the benefit of the doubt," Stewart said. "You really do get caught up in the show and in the moment. There's pressure. You're secluded from the outside world. The producers are pushing you to make a decision.  You're tugged in different directions. And viewers see only part of what's going on.”

"I think Jason made both, a genuine mistake, and a genuine decision. I give him props for ultimately doing what he believed was right for him," she added.

We hope this comforts Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney? Even if America as a whole doesn't come around, you've got at least one fan in Sheena Stewart.

American Idol Preview: Country Week Ahead!

Country stars Brad Paisley, Randy Travis and beloved season four champion Carrie Underwood grace the American Idol stage on Tuesday and Wednesday for Grand Ole Opry week.

In what ought to be an interesting series of performances, the remaining 11 singers will perform songs popularized by the members of the Opry, a weekly radio and stage show that has been a Nashville institution for decades.

Can you picture Lil Rounds (pictured) or Anoop Desai going country? Neither can we.

On the March 18 elimination show, Underwood will perform “I Told You So” with fellow Opry member Travis. The latter will act as the show’s mentor for the week.

Paisley will perform his new song “Then” the same night.

Kelly Bensimon: Hated on by Housewives, Faking a Fight?

The Real Housewives of New York City gathered this week at the launch party for Bethenny Frankel’s diet book, Naturally Thin.

But the topic of conversation was not how to lose weight. Instead, it was whether or not Kelly Bensimon actually faked a story about fighting with her boyfriend.

According to The New York Daily News, a party-goer at the event said: “Kelly truly is the most desperate housewife," while another added: "No one likes her. She hasn’t endeared herself to the ladies on the show - or anyone else.”

Several sources actually believe the aforementioned altercation with Nicholas Stefanov was cooked up in order to heighten drama and ensure that Kelly is signed for next season.

“Kelly is ruthless. Some who know her think she planned the attack with Nicholas," said an insider. "He’s speaking of her too positively for this to be domestic abuse. Shouldn’t he be angrier? It’s also convenient that Kelly timed the leak of her arrest to the day a new episode of the show aired."
