On September 13, 2008, Gretchen Rossi lost her finace, Jeff Beitzel, to leukemia.
Viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County discovered Jeff's tragic fate on the show's season finale.
But Jay Photoglou claims Rossi couldn't have been that broken up about it. The reason? He'd been having an affair with her for months.
“I was Gretchen’s REAL boyfriend,” Photoglou told The National Enquirer. “She spent her days at the hospital with her dying fiancé, but her nights with me.”
Photoglou says he and Rossi began dating in January 2008, and “for the next year we spent most nights together."
Rossi doesn't deny that she dated Jay for a bit.
"Jay and I had a short-lived relationship before Jeff and I started dating," she said, adding that his cheating accusations are "ridiculous” and “disrespectful to me and the memories of Jeff.”
Is The National Enquirer a reputable source? Of course not. But don't forget: it was the first publication to report on the John Edwards and Rielle Hunter affair. Just sayin.

Tamra is pissed because she is broke, it is all over the internet how she and Simon never could afford their home (county records show they are WAY over their head…..oh and it’s not even in Tamra’s name, only Simons).
Oh and the boat that Simon said he bought? A BIG LIE.
County records show he never owned a boat…..he is such a faker wannabe. The rolex and bracelet probably are fake too…..just like her gross, freckly boobs.
The only fraud on this show is Tamra. She is trailer trash pretending to have money. No wonder Simon hits on any woman that moves, can’t really blame him.
Gretchen is single and can do whatever she wants, she did nothing wrong. She is educated, has her own money (her house is in HER name) and she can have any man she wants.
She has everything and Tamra has nothing.

Jeff seemed like such a perfect match for Getchen. I was surprised at how blase the others seemed about his passing.
It was really strange that they didn't seem to get the fact that a person can't attend at a hospital bedside 24/7 without recharging. Also, I could tell from all of Gretchen's comments that were on the show, she never gave in to the idea that he was going to die, who does! Somehow the cruelty that was shown towards her, in particular by Tamra, was about as base as it comes. I could not ever imagine being that cruel to anyone, especially someone as sweet as Gretchen!
I don't have a clue who this "Jay" person is, trying to cash in on 30 seconds of fame.. that's what happens, coat tail riders I guess.. or maybe something that a person would scrape off their shoe.

i WAS A FAN OF tTAMRA'S LAST SEASON, BUT THIS YEAR SHE SEEMED DIFFERENT. SHE IS NO LONGER FUN, DEFINATELY SEEMED JEALOUS OF GRETCHEN, AND SHE LOOKS OLD. MAYBE HER FINANCIAL PROBLEMS HAVE AGED HER, BUT SHE DOES NOT LOOK AS YOUTHFUL AS THE PRIOR SEASON . GRETCHEN WAS CUTE AND FUN AND REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER HER AND JEFF'S RELATIONSHIP WAS, THERE WAS CARE AND LOVE THERE, YOU COULD SEE IT. JEFF DIDN'T LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT AND WHETHER IT WAS LOVE OR COMPANIONSHIP IT LOOKED GENUINE. TAMRA LET THE CAMERAS GO TO HER HEAD. THATS SAD. I HOPE GRETCHEN RETURNS AND WE CAN WATCH HER AND JEANA FIND NEW ROMANCES.

Tamra should not sleep well at night. Its to bad she has these small kids to see what an ass their mom is. She is already USING her oldest son..she has already messed him up! Thank goodness she has a husband that gets it, its only a matter of time and they will be apart. The sex with them will die and Simaon will look at her like" what am I doing with such a stupid woman..and a bitch to boot! How selfish and self centered of her to talk with a sharp tounge to amyone! Jay Photoglou was my gay lover and he has been bragging about conning Gretchen for a year. He was never with Gretchen. She only hung out with him because she thought they where friends. Every body knows how much girls like having a gay buddy they can pal around with.
He borrowed $18,000 from her because his house was in foreclosure and then refused to pay it back, Every time she asked, he threatening to post lies about her and him on the internet.
He stole her camera and sold pictures to the National Inquirer, He stole $8000 rims off her Mercedes and He has been trying to Blackmail her for months. He has a record and has multiple restraining orders against him.
Then to top it all off he started hitting on that guy Slade Smiley, and when Slade turned him down Jay went crazy, the little fag.
This guy is going down, criminal charges are being filed.
I have met Gretchen and Jeff and she loved him 1000%. Jay quit pretending your somebody and be honest about your gayness. You will never be a celebrity so just leave the girl alone and pay the money back honey. You look like a total douche bag fag hag.
