The Style Network has green-lighted Ruby a second season.

The series, which depicts Ruby Gettinger and her battle to lose weight, was easily Style’s most successful show last season; it averaged nearly 400,000 viewers per new episode, more than doubling its primetime average.

“Ruby has inspired a passionate fan base that is deeply devoted to her and we are incredibly excited to bring back the series for another season,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, President, The Style Network, announcing the renewal. “The response from our audience both on-air and online has been overwhelming and viewers have been motivated by Ruby to make changes in their own lives.”

Life is good these days for Sheree Whitfield.

Along with Nene Leakes, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, Deshawn Snow and Kim Zolciak, Sheree is a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It's the highest rated edition of thie Bravo franchise.

Whitfield recently spoke to People Magazine about her experiences on the series:

How has your life changed?
My life [is] absolutely fabulous. I have received a lot of positive feedback. I was so amazed at how many people watch the show. I knew the gay guys would watch, but so many straight guys watch it, old men, young men, older women and younger women. I love it! It’s been a great ride so far.

Do you think the show portrayed you accurately?
Hopefully, the editors, [next] time around, will allow people to see more of who I am as a person and instead of everything being so one-sided. I am a mom. I am a sister. I am a daughter. I am friend. I am all of those things and the character on television is not me everyday. There is a softer side to me and I hope the editors relay that next season. I feel they did what they had to do to make a great show and they did that. The ratings are off the chain! That is me that you see, yes, but it’s not who I am everyday. They focus on one aspect of my personality.

Shanon Thomas is doing her best to prove that she really is The Biggest Loser.

The contestant on this season of that reality show has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a housemate with a bag of flour. Seriously.

According to The Detroit Free Press, on the same day The Biggest Loser debuted on NBC, Thomas, was charged with domestic violence. If convicted, she'll be could face more than three months in jail, where she'll be the laughingstock of prison.

On December 16, police claim Thomas assaulted a man who lived in the basement of her suburban Detroit home. The reason? His TV's volume was too high.

Thomas is alleged to have "kicked open the door" to this gentleman's basement apartment and thrown flour in his face, damaging some of his personal property in the process.

The massage therapist was arraigned and released on $2,000 bond after being taken into custody.

The first elimination on The Bachelor is always a tough one.

First impressions are everything, and Jason Mesnick had to cut 10 of the original 25 women who were there to seek his heart.

Among the eliminated was Jackie Hickey from Dallas, Texas.

Even though she only got the chance to appear in one episode of The Bachelor before begin sent home, she was still a memorable contestant.

A wedding planner, she admitted she had already planned her own wedding to Jason Mesnick. She received the third most votes from the other women (who thought they were voting someone off) and got a bit drunk at the cocktail party.

Jackie Hickey participated in a conference call with members of the press to dish about her time on the show, and divulged that she was already in a relationship when she decided to send in an application to be on The Bachelor.

“It was silly because I was dating somebody, and gave all that up to go on the show,” she said. “He didn’t want to stop me from fulfilling something that I wanted to do and something that I needed to do.”

When asked if she and this man are back together, she replied, “Possibly.”

Brooke Burke has nothing but positive words for reality TV's latest engaged couple, Dancing With the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff.

"I'm really happy for them," she told Us Weekly at last night's People's Choice Awards.

As for her life on the dance floor, Burke added that she hasn't shaken her booty since conquering all competitors on last season's Dancing with the Stars.

"I haven't worn high heels!" she added. "I miss it a little bit, but it was a perfect way to end the year."

In an unprecedented decision, the first contestant to remove her clothes this season on Rock of Love Bus was also among the first to be eliminated.

Where did Gia go wrong? It may have been a certain crotch shot she drunkenly enacted with a fellow competitor.

VH1 recently asked Gia about her experience on the show:

How do you feel about your time on the show overall?
I love how much fun I had, but I wouldn’t have put it all out there in that one episode [if I knew I was going to be eliminated]. I would have spaced it out and let them see how wild and crazy I am over time. I know I would have stayed longer had I not been inebriated most of the time.

It cannot be understated that coming up with something that shocked Bret Michaels is an amazing feat.
It was pretty amazing, I guess. You gotta laugh about it, though. People do wild stuff when they drink and if people put you down for it, screw ‘em. I think also that you can forget that the cameras are there or that anybody else is there. You’re just kind of in your own world, doing your own thing.

For Maksim Chmerkovski and Karina Smirnoff, 2008 couldn't have ended on a better note: the Dancing with the Stars couple got engaged on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.

"I'm in love and so is she," Chmerkovskiy told People Magazine in an exclusive interview. "Everything is beautiful."

Regarding her new finace, Smirnoff said: "He is such a softie. The way he proposed was so romantic."

As the couple rang in the new year, Chmerkovskiy presented Smirnoff with a three-karat Harry Winston platinum and diamond ring tucked inside of a Louis Vuitton bag.

Michelle Aguilar won the most recent season of The Biggest Loser.

But that wasn't the best thing to happen to this reality TV star over the last couple months:

Nine days after she was declared champion, Aguilar's boyfriend of four months, Matthew Whitehead, proposed.

"I was so shocked!" Michelle told Us Weekly.

The 27-year-old Aguilar - who lost an 110 lbs. during the series - is relieved that shopping for a wedding dress will be "absolutely liberating."

"Before, you have that fear: 'Hey, can you pull me a size 20?'" said Aguilar, who is now a size 4 to 6. "What girl wants to say that?"
