The City Gets a Second Season

Despite somewhat mediocre ratings, Whitney Port's new reality show, The City, has already been renewed, The Hollywood Reporter reported yesterday.

The first season debuted less than a month ago, and while The Hills spinoff hasn't delivered big ratings, the network has high hopes for Season Two!

CITY SLICKER: Whitney Port's new show has been renewed early!

Also returning on MTV: Daddy's Girls and Teen Cribs, which debuted as a special on January 17. Bromance, starring Brody Jenner, has yet to be renewed.

The City Episode Guide is Live

Adam Senn sucks. Dude hooked up with some other girl and lies to his girlfriend's face about it, then continued the lie even after the other girl confessed to her!

All Whitney Port could do was stare, very expressively of course, and ponder whether what Alli - or his friend Jay Lyon, or MTV for that matter - sees in this loser.

How will it play out? Will Olivia Palermo ever stop being such a raging b!tch? We can only wait and see. Follow the link for a full recap of Monday's The City ...

The Bachelor Recap: Dating Drama and Daytime Drama

After sobbing, sulking, sucking (face, mostly) and a stint on General Hospital, the women of The Bachelor learned their fate in the fight for Jason Mesnick.

Molly, Naomi and Stephanie received roses by virtue of their dates. At the rose ceremony, tensions rose as Jason gave the beautiful flowers to:

  • Melissa
  • Jillian

In a stunning move, with one more rose left to give out, he opted not to present it to Megan, Lauren or Shannon. How did he arrive at these decisions? What else went down? Follow the link for a full recap of The Bachelor!

Donny Osmond Will Go Dancing with the Stars

The first cast addition for the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars has been announced... and it's not terribly exciting.

During a segment on The Bonnie Hunt Show, Donnie Osmond appeared with sister Marie - who starred on the show's fifth edition - and let slip that he was officially on board for the next installment, which premieres in March.

"I guess I am making an announcement. I'll say I am seriously considering doing it, let's put it that way," Donne said, laughing and adding: "I guess I just let the cat out of the bag."

Are you excited to see Donnie Osmond on Dancing with the Stars?

** UPDATE: Osmond has now told Entertainment Tonight that he will not be joining the show this spring.

"If there was an offer on the table, I'd do it in the fall. I would make room for it. Absolutely!"

DeAnna Pappas Talks About Wedding ... Show

The former star of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, didn’t get her fairy-tale ending after two seasons on the reality TV hits.

But that hasn’t stopped her from helping other brides-to-be plan their big day as the host of Get Married, a wedding show airing on Lifetime.

In an interview with People, DeAnna talked weddings, her breakup with Jesse Csincsak, her visit to The Bachelor and Jason Mesnick and more:

Q: Tell us about your new co-hosting gig on Get Married?

DeAnna Pappas: It is the bride’s guide to getting married, from finding the right dress and invitations to writing vows, picking a cake and planning the honeymoon. The show handles broad topics and refers viewers to the site GetMarried.com where they can find local vendors and even more tips. My co-host Colin Cowie and I also have blogs on the site. Me, I just talk about everyday life and my ongoing quest for love.

Q: Why did you want to host this show?

DeAnna Pappas: When the opportunity first came about, I was engaged, and when the president of the company contacted me in Colorado, I thought I could learn something [for my wedding] and follow my TV hosting dream.

Q: What do you say to people who question your credibility as a host of a wedding program?

DeAnna Pappas: I have very thick skin but negative comments would get anybody down. I still very much want to fall in love, get married and have my own family. My beliefs and wants and needs haven’t changed. I am still the same person even though I am no longer engaged. Colin is not engaged or getting married and the last two hosts weren’t either. There is so much focus on me because I was that girl who went on two reality shows to find love and it didn’t work out.

Up Next: The Real World Cancun!

Really, it was only a matter of time.

For the 22nd installment of its franchise, The Real World is going to Cancun.

Reportedly, production has already begun in the spring break capital of the world, as the show will debut later this year after the current season, set in Brooklyn, concludes.

Cancun

"Cancun is a good one to do after Brooklyn, which was a more gritty environment," The Real World producer and co-creator Jonathan Murray said.

Murray added that the cast's obligatory entry into the workforce will involve working as guides for visiting college students at the spring-break-centric website StudentCity.com.

"They're going to help give people a safe and fun vacation," Murray said. "They also might have to bail somebody out of a Mexican jail, stuff like that."

Coming Soon: The Terrell Owens Project

Because Terrell Owens didn't receive nearly enough attention for a past-his-prime wide receiver this season, the cantankerous, self-serving Dallas Cowboy will star in his own reality show this summer.

We have VH1 to thank for that.

Here's the official press release from the network, hyping The Terrell Owens Project:

In the series, T.O. will be shadowed in the off-season by his best friends and publicists Monique Jackson and Kita Williams as they battle the two sides of his large personality.

Viewers will discover that behind all the braggadocio, emotional histrionics, and sculpted physique that is the outspoken media magnet known to the world as “T.O.” — there is also a quiet, sensitive, mild-mannered guy from Alexander City, Alabama…that’s Terrell.

Terrell Owens

It's about time Terrell Owens received some attention. We can only hope Pacman Jones and Michael Vick are the next football stars to receive their own reality shows.

“We are thrilled to bring such a great athlete, who is one of the biggest names and personalities in all the world of sports to VH1 for a surprising high octane look inside his superstar life off the field,” said Jeff Olde, EVP Original Programming & Production.

Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes Might Be Friends!

Might Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes be friends after all?

It depends on which of these Real Housewives of Atlanta you ask.

Fresh from the Sundance Film Festival, Zolciak told People Magazine she was psyched to see Leakes, despite their numerous differences on season one of the show.

“I am actually waiting on NeNe right now. We are buddies,” Zolciak said. “When the filming stopped, we had a glass of wine, talked and it was great. I miss her.”

Are you on Team Kim or Team NeNe?

Told of Kim's comments, Leakes didn't exactly reciprocate the sentiment.

“Kim says that we are friends now, oh really? Well, I never make the same mistake twice,” Leakes said. “We can squash the drama, but we will never be friends. She is not a good friend. We can be associates, but never friends.”
