On the heels of American Idol's eighth season premiere tonight - visit our site often throughout the next six months as we report the latest news and views from the show - David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell have gone public with their break up.
"Kimberly and David ended their relationship just before the holidays," Caldwell's rep said. "The couple remain good friends and, being very private people, appreciate their privacy at this time."
The couple began dating last May.
Kimberly Caldwell is no longer the one for David Cook.

Man they make it sound like they were a couple everyone liked and that they dated for so long. He was the AI tour for 3 of those 7 months. There was no real relationship there. Caldwell hits on a contestant every single season. She has always been a tramp. David Cook's fan never liked her because she was a D lister on all levels compared to him.
Thank god it's over and we can now have some fun with David and listen his music. Hope he never goes back with her or his fans will lose interest.

She is such a slut. David can do so much better than her. He was deluded by her looks and sex.
She has zero brains compared to him. I hope this is not a publicity stunt to get Cook fans to buy his concert tickets because his career took a back seat since he started dating her. She was a Bad choice.
He needs to pick a girl with talent, brains and class..that wasn't Caldwell. Everyone knows her reputation is trash.

She reminds me of the character Susan Sarandon plays in "Bull Durham"...who picks a player to have sex with from the local baseball team every season.
When the season is over...so is he...and she's off to the next boy toy from the next season.

David puked in his mouth when asked if he was planning to get engaged to her. After he puked, he said the idea was "hilarious". Every time he was seen with her in public, he suddenly moved away from her (dropped her hand, stopped smiling, etc.). The relationship was doomed to begin with. Also, she is very trampy; sleeping with a new idol each year. Ick, one would think that this would have been a turn off for David .... makes me wonder about him too.
