Kara DioGuardi Feels Accepted on American Idol

After seven seasons, American Idol has entrenched itself in the culture of reality television.

The same can be said for its judges (Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul), whose banter and chemistry is a major reason many fans tune in every week.

With that in mind, of course Kara DioGuardi was nervous to premiere as the show's fourth judge for the upcoming eighth season. But she recently told Entertainment Weekly that she's been embraced by her fellow panelists.

"They're like brothers and sisters at this point," the new judge said, having already wrapped the preliminary auditions, as well as the Hollywood round. ''And I'm like the long-lost cousin who they're not sure they wanted to see, but now they're like, Okay, you can stay for dinner."

Bret Michaels: Likely Done with Dating, Not Reality TV

Will Bret Michaels find true love on Rock of Love Bus, which premieres this Sunday night?

The rocker didn't reveal that information to The New York Daily News. But he did say that this series is likely his last foray into the world of reality TV dating.

"I can never say never, but I'm pretty sure that this kind of show is it for me," Michaels said.

Rock of Love 3

Does that mean we've seen the last of the rocker on the small screen? Of course not.

"I'd like to do a hybrid of [a series] where you come into my real life a little more, like a mixture of Rock of Love and Gene Simmons Family Jewels," he said. "I think the ups and downs and sideways of my life would be really interesting for people to see."

Sorry, Bret. But we don't agree.

LaToya Jackson and Verne Troyer to Star on UK's Celebrity Big Brother

Great Britain's version of Celebrity Big Brother makes this season's cast of Celebrity Apprentice looks like a veritable A-list of stars.

While the former reality series will feature random British celebrities such as Terry Christian, Ulrika Jonsson and Lucy Pinder, a couple of random, sort of well-known Americans will make fools of themselves for the cameras, as well.

LaToya Jackson and Verne Troyer are reportedly booked for the show.

Indeed, the vertically-challenged sex tape star and Michael Jackson's lookalike sister will be have their antics taped around the clock. It's enough to make U.S. reality shows look respectable by comparison.

David Chokachi: Confession of a Teen Idol

You don't need to wait until January 4 to hear the Confessions of a Teen Idol.

This VH1 reality show/support group, which will be hosted by Scott Baio and will update viewers in a number of former heart throbs, premieres on the date mentioned above.

But OK! caught up with Baywatch star David Chokachi and asked him about the upcoming series:

You almost quit the series in the first episode?
They couldn’t disclose everything we would be doing on the show, and when I talked to our producer, Scott Baio, I said to him, “Would you say ‘yes’ to a movie without reading the script?” I had no idea  what they were planning to do to us. But it was a chance to a explore new medium I hadn’t worked in, and it wasn’t a competition, that was really positive. Still, doing the show was a gamble.

David Chokachi

What have you been doing since you left the beach?
I did Witchblade, which was completely different from Baywatch. I was a New York City detective and the role was kind of dark and edgy and changed people’s perception of me completely. It’s hard to get the Baywatch image out of people’s mind, so I’m constantly finding things where I can play against type.

The City Recap: The Hills, East Coast Style!

After the brain-rotting hour that was Bromance, The City debuted on MTV last night and it was far from terrible. In fact, given a lack of Speidi, fewer awkward silences and more dialogue, you might even call it a nice break from The Hills!

As you might have expected, Whitney Port's life in NYC has become complicated, and fast. Whit is feeling a bit overwhelmed with friends, boys and work.

What happens when her model ex confronts her new man? And how is she fitting in with her mean co-worker? Follow the link for a full recap of The City!

Bromance Recap is Live (For What it's Worth)

"This looks like a cheap-ass g*y p*rn!" - Bromance viewer, 9:44 p.m. EST

There are very few times when a Reality TV Scoop member has actually been surprised to find himself or herself watching a show, but last night qualified.

Our intern's assessment of Brody Jenner's new series Bromance, as described above during the "hot tub elimination ceremony," pretty much sums it up.

While there were some entertaining moments, one definitely begins to question what one is doing with one's life as soon as one watches this program.

“I cried,” Marcille said of the engagement, which took place in front of friends and family. “It was totally unexpected. I’m still in shock. I could not even sleep because I was afraid that I might wake up from the most beautiful dream ever.”
