Kym Johnson: It's Playoff Time on Dancing With the Stars!

Following a disappointing Foxtrot, Kym Johnson says she and partner Warren Sapp have a can't-miss plan for tonight's routine:

“My strategy for next week is put more hours in and keep enjoying each dance because if we are enjoying what we are doing on the dancefloor then the judges and audience hopefully will too!” the professional told People Magazine late last week.

Wheee!!!!

As a former defensive lineman in the NFL, Sapp is ratcheting up the intensity as the competition draws to a close.

“He told me ‘we are in the playoffs now and we have to get to the final,’” Johnson said. “He’s determined and so am I.”

An Interview with Lacey Conner

Lacey Conner is still alive and fighting on Rock of Love Girls: Charm School.

The former Bret Michaels suitors spoke with BuddyTV about life on a ridiculous VH1 reality show. Here are a couple highlights from the interview:

What was it that made you decide to join Rock of Love Girls: Charm School?
Honestly, Sharon is the whole reason I decided to join. When the producers came to me about doing the show, they told me what the show was going to be about and all of that, I was just like, “Oh, I don't know.” I wasn't really feeling it. But then they told me that Sharon Osbourne was going to be the head dean, and I'm a huge Ozzy fan and Sharon fan, so I was like, “Yeah, absolutely, count me in.” So that was pretty much the reason I did it, because of her.

Lacey Conner likes to play the villain.

Is your strategy to play the villain?
It was kind of funny because I found that being the villain and kind of messing with people is a really good strategy as far as looking at it from the point of view that it's a competition. So from that perspective, it's competition and you're trying to knock these girls out, so using that strategy of kind of messing with their heads and pissing them off, it works really well, it's very effective. It kind of throws them off track and it takes away their focus, and they start focusing on me rather than what their goal is, and so it is a very good strategy.

Trista Sutter: A Family Portrait

1-16.

With DeAnna Pappas' dumping of Jesse Csincsak, that's the combined record of The Bachelor (0-12) and The Bachelorette (1-4) in producing a marriage.

The one, of course, is Trista Sutter.

The only couple to survive the apparent curse (or the fact that courtship on TV is inherently flawed, as there are many Shayne Lamas fame-whore types out there), Trista and Ryan Sutter remain rock solid. It's refreshing.

With baby #2 on the way, Trista and Ryan Sutter (with son Max) pose for a family photo as part of the Sketchers "Nothing Compares to Family" Campaign ...

THE BACHELORETTE NO MORE: After rising for fame as a star on both ABC series, Trista Sutter, 37, is content with her two new titles: Wife and Mom!

The Dish from David Cook

As proven by the picture below, American Idol David Cook is still dating Kimberly Caldwell. Good for them!

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cook didn't mention the love in his life. He did touch on a number of topics, however. To wit:

On his "feud" with Idol runner-up David Archuleta: “Hopefully, because that means Archie and I are hopefully still doing well! In a sense, it’s fun that that whole rivalry thing got created. If you put me in the same sentence with David Archuleta, I’ll be fine."

On his comparison to Chris Daughtry: “I didn’t let it get to me on the show, and I see no reason to let it get to me afterward. I just think this record is me, and if people want to compare it to Daughtry, awesome.”

Dancing With the Stars Contestants React to Susan Lucci Elimination

Susan Lucci has been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.

And while it seemed to be the appropriate time for the soap opera star to go home, a pair of contestants are sad to see her go.

"It sucks!" Lance Bass told us of Lucci's dismissal. "She really did become close to us. She was the one who was so positive, she had the hardest schedule to keep, and I respect everything that she did."

Added Cody Linley: "This was so nerve-wracking! It was either me or Susan going home, and I was thinking, ‘I don't want to go home, but I don't want to see my friend go home either!' So it's sad to see another part of the family go home."

Vanessa Minnillio to Host True Beauty

Between them, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo must be setting the record for most reality show hosted by one couple.

The latest? Minnillo has been tapped to lead the upcoming reality beauty pageant show True Beauty. Ashton Kutcher and Tyty Banks serve as the show's executive producers.

Vanessa Minnillio

According to ABC, the series  "will determine the 'True Beauty' of six stunning females and four handsome males who will live together in a spectacular Los Angeles mansion as they undergo a series of challenges to determine who is truly the most beautiful."

It will premiere the same night as the premiere of The Bachelor with Jason Mesnick.

The Bachelor Premiere Date Announced

Remember when Jason Mesnick was rejected by DeAnna Pappas on the season finale of The Bachelorette in favor of Jesse Csincsak. That was brutal.

Well, Mesnick has gotten the last laugh - and not just because of DeAnna Pappas' subsequent breakup with Csincsak just a few months after the show.

The Bachelor will return to ABC on January 5 and in its new season, the single dad America fell in love with will be the one doing the choosing.

Jason Mesnick

A two-hour episode will kick off the season - amazingly, the 13th. No star of The Bachelor has married his chosen fiancee from the series. Just saying.

Will 13 be lucky for Jason Mesnick? One can only hope.

The show will return to its usual 90-minute episode format, starting at 9:30 p.m. on Mondays, after the premiere date. We'll be watching.
