An Interview with NeNe Leakes

NeNe Leakes is a supposedly Real Housewife of Atlanta. We have our doubts about whether most housewives from that city are like this reality TV star.

Still, she sat down with our friends at BuddyTV for a recent interview. Here are excerpts from it:

Why did you decide to agree to be on this show in the first place?
Well, when I was asked to do the show, before ever doing the Real Housewives I've already done some TV and film before. And then having my real estate company with my husband and my foundation and all the things that I have my hands into, I thought it would be a great way to get my name and my face and my businesses out there.

How do you feel you have been portrayed? Do you think it's an accurate portrayal of yourself on the show?
It is, it is very accurate. Some of it I'm not so happy about. You guys saw me in that earlier episode get really upset at Sheree's party, that was very true. But I think for the most part they have portrayed me correctly.

What would your show look like?
I would hope to do a talk show. I would love to do a talk show, something that is fun and funny, people could really come on and be themselves and we could really get down and talk, really dirty. Not the whole conservative shit like Oprah or Tyra. I want to do something else. Something funny, maybe along the lines of Chelsea Lately.

Cloris Leachman Eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

Cloris Leachman made the most of her time in the spotlight.

But the 82-year old actress finally heard her name called last night, as Leachman and partner Corky Ballas were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.

"I'm not leaving," the Oscar-winning actress declared before she was dismissed.

"I'm afraid you are," host Tom Bergeron replied.

And with that, Dancing with the Stars is down to six contestants.

A Real Chance of an Interview

While most readers know Real as a co-star in Real Chance of Love, the reality TV star is also an aspiring musician.

He recently talked about that career in an interview, conducted via text message, with VH1:

VH1

Real

VH1
What are you working on?
Real

Keeping it Real

VH1
That sounds great — what’s it about?
Real
Dang I wuld tell u but I don’t want anyone stealing this subject. No one has talked about this subject yet. The concept is very sexy. Lol.
VH1
Totally understand — can’t wait to hear it! Are there any experiences from the show that will make it on to the record?
Real
Yeah there is. sneaky lil girls.
VH1
Its such a great group of women. These experiences must be so surreal, to be filmed. Does it help to have Chance with you?

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Week Seven

In addition to one regular performance from each of the remaining couples on Dancing with the Stars last night, they all got together for the first big group number of the seasonas well - an "Old School Hip Hop" performance.

As you might expect, that went better for some (Lance Bass) than it did for others (Cloris Leachman, below). But all in all, it was a treat to watch.

Turning our attention to the performances, what is the status of Julianne Hough? How funny is Warren Sapp? And can anyone stop Brooke Burke?

Kim Kardashian Makes Her Dancing with the Stars Selection

Despite being voted off Dancing with the Stars weeks ago, Kim Kardashian is still keeping close tabs on the show.

“I think [Brooke Burke] has a really good chance at winning,” Kardashian said last week. “She started off really well and she works so hard."

But there is one other couple that has a chance, Kim said.

“I think Lance and Lacy are really fun and give the show something it’s never seen before, but I’ll definitely say that I’m leaning toward Brooke a little bit.”

Tiffany Pollard Sends Wishes to Jennifer Hudson

A couple months ago, soon after Jennifer Hudson announced that she was engaged to former I Love New York contestant David “Punk” Otunga, Tiffany Pollard made disparaging remarks about the former American Idol finalist.

Now, though, in the middle of the Hudson family crisis that has seen three relatives of the singer shot and killed, Pollard wants to make amends.

Here is a video message she made to Hudson:

Julianne Hough to Undergo Surgery; Return Uncertain

According to TMZ, Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough will soon announced that the ailment that landed her to the emergency room last week was more than a stomach ache, as was initially thought - but an ovarian cyst.

The dance champion will undergo surgery to remove the cyst and will have her appendix removed while under the knife (for reasons unrelated to the cyst).

No word on when the surgery will take place or if Julianne Hough will return to Dancing with the Stars, where she and Cody Linley are among the favorites.

Trista and Ryan Sutter to Return to Reality TV?

Reality TV stars Trista and Ryan Sutter, who recently announced they are pregnant again, are apparently in talks to star in a new reality show.

"We're open to whatever," Trista said at SeaWorld Orlando on Friday, with Ryan and 15-month-old son Max. "It's just a matter of whether it fits."

Trista Sutter says the show would involve Max and the new baby.

"There are pros and cons," The Bachelorette star says of the new venture.

"Having cameras in your face is an obstacle, because we've tried to be very private. But if we want to pay our mortgage and pay off our debt, well, we will certainly consider it if it's within our lifestyle."

Trista had Max four weeks prematurely because of complications late in her pregnancy, and says a tubal ligation will make the new baby her last.

"I know people think it's drastic when they hear that," she says. "But I have such rough pregnancies. I would have been as happy as a clam in salt water with just Max. So this is just the icing on the cake."

She says she and Ryan Sutter will remain open to the idea of adoption if they decide to have a bigger family, which is nice to hear.

Tim Gunn Urges Prop 8 Vote

America's favorite fashionista, Project Runway consultant Tim Gunn, has joined the growing list of celebrities taking a stand against Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that would ban same-sex marriage.

Project Runway fans know it's never a good idea to ignore the advice of Tim Gunn. That rule of thumb extends to politics in this situation as well:
