The Hills Episode Recap is Live

The new wars in The Hills:

  • Spencer Pratt vs. Heidi's mom, Darlene Montag, who pays a visit to Heidi in L.A., apparently unannounced in this episode and is dismayed to learn that she's living with the Evil One again.
  • Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner AND Stephanie Pratt vs. Doug Reinhardt, who is trying to have it both ways when it comes to his efforts to wine and dine the She-Pratt. Everyone thinks they're shady.

Isis King Talks on America's Next Top Model

Sadly, Isis King won't be America's Next Top Model. This transgener contestant was eliminated from the show last week.

But the aspiring beauty did speak with E! Online afterwards. Here are highlights from that interview:

On Sexual Reassignment Surgery: "There's still obviously the finances. I'm not working right now, but hopefully I get a lot of gigs from me being on the show. Once I save my money - hopefully within the next two years, that's my goal - I will have it done as soon as possible, so I can just get it out of the way."

On her gender's role on the show: "I just try not to really think about me being born special or a little different than other girls. I really try not to dwell on it, because the more and more I start to dwell on it, the more and more it starts to consume my shoots, or my personality, or my ability to perform...[but] I guess it was inevitable."

Phil Keoghan Speaks on The Amazing Race, Season Seven

Phil Keoghan is back at the helm of The Amazing Race for its upcoming seventh season.

The underrated host recently spoke with USA Today about past and future adventures. Here are excerpts:

Q: You're returning for the seventh time to India, which makes it the show's most-visited destination after the USA. What's the appeal?
A: It's my favorite (place for the show). I don't know a more diverse, colorful, dynamic country in the world. There's a sameness and comfort level you get living in a country like America. For people like Nancy and Emily (a first-season mother and daughter team who had a tough time negotiating crowds in New Delhi and Agra), it was like being on another planet.

Q: You're also going back to your birthplace, New Zealand, the adventure capital of the world, for the third time. What new thrills can we expect to see?
A: New Zealanders are very proud of their indigenous Maori culture, and we were looking to get something of that in the show. We ended up having the teams search for Maori warriors on an extinct volcano (near Auckland), and it was the most magical morning when they arrived: As the sun was rising, there were these warriors doing the haka (a traditional war dance) with a magnificent rainbow over the top of the hill.
