They broke up earlier this year, but Paula Abdul and her restaurateur ex-boyfriend JT Torregiani have been quietly reconnecting.
The reality TV consequence? JT Torregiani, 33, was in talks to possibly become ABC's next star of The Bachelor. But he's decided to drop it.
Torregiani is still working long hours at Beso, a Latin-themed restaurant and bar, which has built a sizable contingent of celebrity patrons.
He didn't want to leave for three months to film The Bachelor - and maybe his relationship with the American Idol host played into it as well.
Now that he's out, we see three leading contenders to become the 13th star of The Bachelor - all of whom DeAnna Pappas rejected on The Bachelorette. Which would you most like to see get a second chance ...

The best candidate is Jeremy Anderson for sure. A true gentleman, gorgeous, and he'd bring some needed integrity to the bachelor for sure. Nominate Jeremy!

I agree, Jeremy was jilted not once but twice on the show by Deanna when he went back to the Bahamas. I'd love to see him turn the tables and be in control with 25 new bachelorettes!

JEREMY ANDERSON is the best choice for the new season. I so glad it's not TJ, not many girls want to be married to a night-club owner!! Jeremy is the total package, i know that is such a Cliché at this point, but he really has everything a girl wants. I think the right woman would definitely warm him up!!
