Ruby, I heard you yesterday morning on our local christian radio station and I am watching your show right now. I want you to know you will be in my prayers!!! I heard you say that prayer is the best support you could get and I truly believe that, too! I was 250 lbs for 27 years and had gastric bypass 1 year ago. I am now 131 lbs and feel younger than I ever have. I, like you, tried SOOOO many different diets with success, but always gained the weight back. That is why I turned to gastric bypass...felt it was my last hope. I will be praying for you. You are such a gentle soul and a very beautiful person inside and out!!! Good Luck to you, Ruby!!

You have insprired me to lose weight with you. At 62 years old, high blood pressure, diabetic, nerves shot, had to retire because of my weight of 300 lbs I am going to give my best to lose weight with you. I watched your video and said to myself "If she can do it at 500 lbs I can do this at 300 lbs". I wish I knew what station in Jacksonville you are on. I tried to find it Sunday night but couldn't. If I have to I will keep up with on your blog. Thank you for being there for me and I'll me here for you. Good luck from Jacksonville, Florida and I do hope we will see less of each other soon.

wow this story is really inspiring...thank you ruby...im not exactly 500 lbs...im about 180 something but im only 5 feet tall adn 17 according to the charts im pretty obese...it kinda runs in the family (dads side) and im not using that as an exuse but i know all about the whole southern cooked food and going to school makes it hard to make the right decisions...plus i just dont seem to have the motivation to get up and exercise..id love to be at a more ideal weight like around 125 or so..but with my busy life i dont know how i can lose around 60 lbs. I hope that watching ruby accomplish her goals will help me accomplish mine. so i quess what im trying to say is IM HERE SUPPORTING YOU THROUGH OUT THIS WHOLE ORDEAL RUBY!!

I watched your show this morning....I'm just so proud of you, and I wish I could be just like you! I, too, have tried everything and am considering surgery. I want to exhaust all other ways first. If you can show me that you can do it, if you can teach me how to do it, if you can inspire me just enough, maybe I will lose the weight too.

I totally understand ruby's battle. while my situation was not quite as severe as ruby's, my little 5'1" frame used to carry 340 pounds. my health was so deeply in despair, i did what i had to do at the time and in august 2002 underwent gastric bypass. i lost a total of 200 pounds at my best, and am now struggling with a 20 poundish weight gain. just so you know, at a loss of 100 pounds i treated myself to the greatest gift of all time...a tiny yorkie pup that i named cappuccino. capp is now a 6 year old adorable 5 pound big girl whom i adore. she keeps me busy and moving needless to say. I HOPE FOR RUBY HUGE SUCCESS IN THE JOURNEY SHE IS UNDERGOING AND FOR MAKING IT PUBLIC. SHE IS A BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL SOUL. JUST LIKE THE TV SHOW "THE BIGGEST LOSER" I WILL BE TOTALLY DEVOTED TO THIS SHOW. WE WILL ALL BE HOPING TO SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN LESS AND LESS EACH WEEK.

Ruby I just watched your short video and cried. I myself weigh 400lbs and have never been this heavy. I wish I could speak to u. I feel so hopeless, but like u I always make people laugh.
When Iam alone I cry, I dont have any normal life like this. At this point I cant get around very well. I need help to do everyday things. I have been considering weight loss surgery. Even when I meet other obese people they dont seem to say or speak of such a powerful addiction to food like me !!!Please get in touch with me if u can. Hi Ruby I just wanted to say I understand your pain I am a 36 yr old mom of 5 with health problems,and I have been struggling with my weight for the past 10 yrs or so.I am 340lbs and I am so scared I am going to die everyday,and my baby asks me all the time mommy are you obese do you have a disease it hurts alot.My friend just told me about your show and I saw your video on youtube it had me in tears.I just wanted to say I Wish you the Best Of Luck and I will Praying for you.You are a Beautiful person that deserves to enjoy life and maybe your show can help me as well.God Bless You & Stay Strong....
