You have insprired me to lose weight with you. At 62 years old, high blood pressure, diabetic, nerves shot, had to retire because of my weight of 300 lbs I am going to give my best to lose weight with you. I watched your video and said to myself "If she can do it at 500 lbs I can do this at 300 lbs". I wish I knew what station in Jacksonville you are on. I tried to find it Sunday night but couldn't. If I have to I will keep up with on your blog. Thank you for being there for me and I'll me here for you. Good luck from Jacksonville, Florida and I do hope we will see less of each other soon.
I have set my DVR to record every show. You are a beautiful woman inside and out. I hope the absolute best for your journey to be "skinny". You are an inspiration to me and many I am sure. Good Luck Ruby!!

Ruby, I heard you yesterday morning on our local christian radio station and I am watching your show right now. I want you to know you will be in my prayers!!! I heard you say that prayer is the best support you could get and I truly believe that, too! I was 250 lbs for 27 years and had gastric bypass 1 year ago. I am now 131 lbs and feel younger than I ever have. I, like you, tried SOOOO many different diets with success, but always gained the weight back. That is why I turned to gastric bypass...felt it was my last hope. I will be praying for you. You are such a gentle soul and a very beautiful person inside and out!!! Good Luck to you, Ruby!!

My heart attack was September 2003, after which I gained four stents and lost 40 pounds from my 5 foot four frame. Cholesteral was LDL 183 and HDL 36. I six months, I had lost the weight, and my LDL was 86 and HDL was 40. I am now at LDL 84 and HDL under 40. I've been on the low fat diet ever since the heart attack. I want to encourage you to, as my Army father would say, "Keep up the good work!". Also, the Army did a study of military "brats" about 10 or 15 years ago. Conclusion was 85 percent needed psychiatric help or had had some psychiatric help. I suspect that half of the remaining 15 per cent were in such denial that they were able to convince the people who performed the study that that they really did not need any help. I am one of the 85 per cent.
You may need to deal with that issue to stay on track with the "wall of fat" you have built up between yourself and other people. Meanwhile, eat your green leafy vegetables, and walk, walk, walk. Read the labels in the grocery store. I've been doing it for five years, now. I can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes. You can, too. If you would like copies of some of the literature I've collected, just let me know.

I hope you can hear us as we cheer you on, hear our prayers going up in your behalf as well. Your courage has helped me to not take myself so seriously. I am so aware every moment of the excess weight on my body and it interferes with my ability to be myself and interact with family, friends as well as outsiders. I have this shame and embarresment of this excess weight and it seems to affect my freedom in so many ways especially the thought of marrying again even though I am looking at loosing approximently 75 lbs it is debilitating if you allow it to be, and I have allowed it.
Please include all of us as you loose weight so that not only will you loose but the thousands of us who are bound by the same issue can be free at last, loosing thousands of lbs, and even ton's of pounds together.
Perhaps we can find an affordable easy solution by supporting one another in prayer, one turning a thousand two ten thousand and so on.
This is the day for us all to be free from all works of the enmey who has bound us in one way or another
God Bless you RUBY and THANK YOU!
