Rock the Cradle Recap: The Parents Pick

On the second episode of Rock the Cradle, the contestants' famous parents chose songs for them. We still haven't gotten over the fact that MC Hammer didn't make A'Keiba Burrell rap to "U Can't Touch This."

Also, a contestant was voted off the show. Who was it? Check out our full Rock the Cradle recap now to find out!

After her performance last week earned raves from the judges, Lucy Walsh wasn't eligible to be eliminated this week. But she still sang on the show.

Joey Fatone and Melanie Brown to Team Up for The Singing Office

Joey Fatone and Melanie Brown can't get enough of reality TV. Either that, or they can't find any other work.

Regardless of the reasons, the former Dancing with the Stars contestants will host a new show this summer, The Singing Office set to air on TLC. It will pit office workers against one another in a battle of vocal ability.

Joey Fatone, Melanie Brown

The Singing Office will surprise two workplaces, giving workers there on-the-spot auditions. Fatone and Brown will then choose the five best singers from each office and send them off for vocal and dance training. After the singers have been trained, they will come back to compete against one another in front of a studio audience.

Scary Spice has told reporters that the show is not meant to be a competitor of American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, claiming that The Singing Office is "not a serious competition."

No definite premiere date has been set for the show, though word is it will hit the airwaves in late June. Meanwhile, viewers will get to see the two hosts at the Dancing with the Stars reunion show, which is set to air May 6 in celebration of the show's 100th episode.

Lauren Conrad is Always Stylish

The Hills are alive with hip fashion! Budding fashion designer (and now, a hockey blogger) Lauren Conrad shows off an updated preppy look in a pleated mini, sexy white tube top and sunny cardigan for a shopping trip in L.A.

A Hip Lauren Conrad

We always love Lauren Conrad sightings. Not only do some of our staffers have crushes on her, but her show, The Hills, is a bona fide smash hit!

Reality TV Recaps: Survivor, Step It Up and Dance

We haven't recovered yet from the shock of Michael Johns being eliminated last night on American Idol.

But we're professionals. We'll focus on the job at hand and recap a pair of other reality shows that were on, one a mainstay of the genre, another a newbie...

Survivor: Malakal arrived back at camp after voting Ami out. Ozzy said he never would have voted against her if she would have been truthful to him. Erik, on the other hand, was thrilled to still be there. He was the last fan remaining on that tribe and was hoping the merge would come soon. He was right on... -- Reality TV Magazine

Step It Up and Dance: The dancers are instructed to don their most provocative dancewear and get ready to leave in a half hour. They pull up to the King King club where Elizabeth Berkley and Jerry Mitchell greet them. There the dancers get to watch L'Effleur des Sens, a French-style cabaret dance troupe. .. -- Buddy TV

Michael Johns - Gasp! - Eliminated from American Idol

Consider us flabbergasted by last night's American Idol results.

After Chris Daughtry was shockingly eliminated from the show two years ago - and Sabrina Bryan got an early exit last year on Dancing with the Stars - we thought we were immune to surprises from reality competitions.

We were wrong.

Michael Johns got the boot from Idol last night. He was joined in the bottom three by Carly Smithson and the contestant everyone assumed was headed home, Syesha Mercado. Here's a look at Johns singing his farewell song. We still can't believe it!

Farewell, Michael Johns!

Do you think Michael Johns deserved to be eliminated?

Bret Michaels Sued for Desecration of Rock of Love House

Bret Michaels has been added to a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed Friday against the producers of Rock of Love by the owner of the $9 million home where they filmed the VH1 series' second season last winter.

Ray Sahranavard claims at least $380,000 worth of damage was done to his Encino, Calif., mansion after Mindless Entertainment Inc. promised to take care of the residence and provide an additional $3 million of liability insurance for him. Just in case, of course.

Sahranavard alleges that, upon returning to his home after two months of filming, he found holes in the walls and ceilings, the doors had been removed, most of his grass and outdoor plants had died, and the interior of the home had been almost entirely repainted.

We hate to even speculate on what he found on the sheets.

A general contractor assessed the damage at $380,000.

Holly Durst Speaks on Matt Grant, The Bachelor Ouster

Holly Durst found it surprising that The Bachelor: London Calling star Matt Grant took her on a do-or-die 2-on-1 date after she thought they had pretty good chemistry following a previous 1-on-1 date. But so it went.

Matt Grant's reasoning was later revealed when he didn't give her the 2-on-1 date's rose, thus eliminating the 25-year-old children's book author from Suffield, Ohio, during Monday night's fourth episode of this 12th season of The Bachelor.

Holly Durst talked recently to Reality TV World her elimination and how she thinks that playing the "safe card" ultimately cost her any chance ...

Reality TV World: ABC billed you as a children's book author on the show.  Can you talk a little bit about that? How did you get into it? Is it your full-time job? Do you write under a pen name?

Holly Durst: I started to get into children's books after I left Ohio - I moved to L.A. - and I really missed the children I used to babysit for. I looked for a book to buy them explaining why I had to leave, but couldn't find one that was what I wanted. So I thought, "You know what? I'm just going to write one myself."

Holly Durst

Holly Durst said goodbye to Matt Grant and The Bachelor Monday.

Reality TV World: Were you surprised Matt Grant chose you for the two-on-one date since he took you on a one-on-one date the previous week?

Holly Durst: Very surprised. Honestly I thought, "Maybe he just wants to spend more time with me and it's an easy way to get rid of somebody else."

Reality TV World: That leads into my next question - you seemed confident that you'd receive the two-on-one date's rose instead of Marshana. Why?

Holly Durst: I thought since him and I had spent so much time together - we had already kissed - and Marshana hadn't spent any one-on-one time with him, had not received a kiss. I thought for sure that I was staying.

Reality TV World: Do you regret feeling so confident and think you could have done more to show Matt Grant how much you cared for him?

Holly Durst: In the third episode, I got upset because I started seeing him interacting more with the girls. I hadn't seen that up until that point.  At that point, I started to put a wall up and I think I started to back away a little bit. I wasn't really into the conversations that him and I were having. It just got really hard. I was confident going into the [2-on-1 date] because I thought, "There's now way that I'm going home." But maybe I was a little overconfident.

Coming to MTV: The Paper

Premiering on Monday, April 14, can MTV's The Paper do for high school newspaper what Laguna Beach The Hills have done for, well, high school hotties?

The goal of the new reality series, of course, is to focus on supposedly real high school student doing real high school things: homework, going to class, hanging out after school, working part-time jobs and, as the title suggests, working for the school paper.

The Paper Cast

The show centers around the busy high school newspaper staff at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida; it especially centers around four students vying for the position of Editor-in-Chief of newspaper "The Circuit."

We'd actually love to see reality TV become a bit more, you know, real. But why do we have a feeling The Paper will simply lead to one of its stars appearing in a sex tape in a couple years?

Here's a preview of the show:
